00:00thank you for having me today thank you for coming over and you're actually wearing almost
00:17the same uh it wasn't planned it was very informative thank you again for coming over
00:25for a podcast uh this is our ninth episode and uh so we're so excited to actually have you here
00:30several people and you are the most uh long service uh long serving staff here in the
00:41xl maybe you can actually share with the people out there uh your journey in the xl how long you
00:48have been here when you started and where are you right now yeah uh first of all thank you very
00:53much mr dg for having me today for your podcast so ladies and gentlemen a very good morning to
00:58everyone of you um my name is ashish um i've been in dxn for 21 years now almost coming and i started
01:08with dxn in year 2000 um not even half you said i'm young right so yeah i started with dxn mr dg
01:18under the sales and training department and uh yeah this industry has been very new for me because
01:24i've never served the direct selling industry before but uh very challenging i must say something
01:30very new this is what from the telco background i took from the service industry uh telecommunication
01:36specifically then uh went to the airlines you know just for a short while different yeah two different
01:43thing but again it's under service then coming into the direct selling is something very new
01:48never have thought of that i'll be serving this industry for so long now but however um when i joined
01:55dxn i was um under sales and training division uh training has been my background uh quality assurance
02:02as well but when i come over here i thought that i could bring my experience with me but when knowing the
02:08industry is so unique by itself so a lot of modification need to be done the most important
02:14thing what is exactly direct selling all about uh the company the people in the company you know and
02:20how basically this business yeah you know uh is being uh uh performed you know so this this this this
02:28this other thing very important thing but anyway it has been a very exciting journey uh for me because
02:34throughout this 21 years i have met a lot of people a lot of exposure um and you know mr dg we have got
02:4020 million members worldwide imagine they're coming from all different backgrounds you know so how to
02:46juggle with them um with the common vision uh of the company how are we supposed to work and yeah um
02:54the 21 years has been so fruitful i must say challenges are there but yes uh if you love what you
03:01you you do then for sure you will enjoy the rest of the coming journey as well to a question of
03:08why you're here for 20 years we'll come back to that later i think today's podcast is so very
03:12important to have the right person to be here as a guest because i think you're the right person to
03:18talk about this particular topic so by the end of the day people will actually know the importance of
03:23marketing plan so in indirect selling so uh in dxn why do we uh let's not talk about okay so let's go to
03:32the other direct selling companies that in malaysia every companies have their own marketing plan with
03:39dxn why is it important uh to have a marketing plan and how is it uh different from the other companies
03:47out there okay uh see marketing plan is uh it's a compensation plan right so when you join this
03:55company basically uh what can the company give me i mean what we basically give them is a product the
04:01services the training and marketing plan plays a very important role because marketing plan is the
04:07one going to generate the income for them you know now um you see uh mr dg um i've seen many other
04:15companies lately because uh you know every companies have got their own unique marketing plan but comparing
04:23with all those you know uh i still find the accent is still the best why because uh we got a very unique
04:30concept of the one world one market concept and regardless wherever you are from uh the plan is one
04:38the product is one the concept is one everything is so simple and anyone can follow you know so uh this
04:46one world one market concept has made this company to be very outstanding so just imagine we are 32 years
04:54old company with 20 million members worldwide the company is still expanding growing day by day so
05:01you know um that is actually very important and uh as far as this marketing plan concerned you know
05:08we have created many free people you know uh we have created so many ambassadors uh worldwide so these
05:16are these are the most uh important thing uh that we have one plan the uniqueness
05:21marketing plan is it is important but do you think a proper marketing plan is also important
05:26i mean everyone can just do a marketing plan uh you know just now we have gpt and all the things
05:33but do you think a proper marketing plan is good for the agent yeah actually it is very important
05:40because that will determine how far the company will go you know uh can basically the marketing plan
05:47benefit the members or not uh whether the a lot of features that need to be considered whether it has
05:54low pressure or not is it easy is it simple is it duplicable is it achievable these are all the
06:00factors that need to be considered because marketing plan is the most important thing you know for a
06:05company i mean research when when any members join uh or they want to anticipate in any business right
06:12they will see how much of returns can they make you know so that transparency is very important so
06:18we have got all that features with us mr so it's good to have a proper marketing yes yes to to to
06:23move forward to to get a bonus so they have to have the understanding right yes i i always notice
06:28something is as is whenever that we have events here in malaysia gxn cyberwin uh when members come
06:34you want to take photo uh so you know every time you usually do this you know do this but only in gxn uh
06:42this this comes out so i'm very curious to know uh what this thing means because uh we've spoken
06:49about this earlier so what i was told is actually 300pv so how is it so important in the action this
06:57300pv or is it like around the world people have to do what is it what's 300pv people want to know yeah
07:04see mr dg in our marketing plan we basically have two types of qualifications one is called the
07:11qsa qualified star region and another one is a qualified star diamond so in order for you to
07:17become a qualified star region you know 300pv is needed you know so of course uh when i see the
07:23marketing plan uh diversity many years ago you know so i was thinking that uh what are the basic
07:30thing that the member should do is to do 300pv you see uh saying is one thing uh to make that thing
07:39come through is a different chapter itself you know so what we want to pass to the message to the people
07:47the the audience in large you know uh is that uh go for 300pv yeah so the very simple thing when we take
07:54photo you know we say one two three smile and all so myself is very simple you know just so this time
08:00so morning is 300pv afternoon 300pv night 300pv even say good night also 300pv you know so that
08:06basically will be in people's mind you know that when come to the accent the 300pv is something that
08:12we need to do that is our minimum qualification so-called exactly exactly yeah yeah so 300pv has become
08:19uh a very uh important uh what you call qualification and in fact if you see also mr dj i believe you know
08:27uh you know latin america market even all our new countries that dixon has prices up basically
08:33everybody is going for 300pv the minimum qualification it's a standard worldwide thing
08:39it's very good to go for it because we have got one plan so it's very easy to pass the message around to the people
08:45you know you know yeah yeah so for those who's actually um i mean i would like to go back to the
08:49marketing plan for those uh who's a beginner let's say if i'm running dxm and uh i'm a new member
08:56how important the marketing plan uh is to that person and how uh easy that they need to understand
09:05because i've seen marketing plans that they do uh you know just old school you know put the the the
09:10the the you know the a3 circle the a put the numbers here and there you know i get point
09:16views but i see uh circles numbers and everything but as a layman if somebody is coming you don't
09:22want to scare them away by showing too many you know uh numbers and figures and circles so as a imd uh
09:31with a lot of experience that you have with a newcomer how do you make it easy for them to understand
09:37the marketing plan yeah that's why dg see um if you see a marketing plan there's a lot of uh
09:44explanation needed there is a calculations also required in order to make people understand how
09:50much money basically they can generate from the marketing plan you know so there are people who
09:56don't understand that much of calculation because things can go even complicated so this business
10:02the action is very unique we don't make things so complicated make it very simple you know so
10:07that's why i got an idea from you know 300 pv that's it many people will ask this question new
10:12person especially what am i supposed to do in the accent right uh how much of sales must i do so
10:18very simple 300 pv and you duplicate the same two people but that is my marketing plan over the years
10:24mr dg of my service i have never explained to people very detail of marketing plan unless if they're
10:31leaders because leaders you will need to know the marketing plan but for the new people you know
10:37if they have got interest fair enough but otherwise why not try to make a simple strategy where
10:42people can accept and they will come to a point oh it's pretty easy and for a for a beginner
10:49um i'm sitting in the um the action office today do you think that it's uh as a leader
10:57do they start away by sharing marketing plan or do they start with consuming products telling them okay
11:03um what's the approach to make sure they don't run away uh everyone is so scared about so skeptical
11:10about directory networking mlm you know they have their mindset the moment people approach
11:15they are so afraid of coming in stepping into the picture how do we handle that situation
11:21uh dg actually for me is very simple you know just like when the first time you go in approach a
11:25girl you will not say i love you am i right obviously obviously no what you will say is
11:31hello my name is dg can i be a friend of yours then slowly maybe you know come to know about
11:36their interest i can't say i love you because i'm married anyway joke aside yeah yeah you see it's very
11:43simple thing dg um as i said don't make things complicated uh you know that your ultimate aim is to
11:50get that person to join you as a member i would advise not to open up everything you know uh let's
11:56do this marketing plan the companies these the product is these that these that everything and
12:00at the end of the day there will be one uh answer come from the person i'll think about it yes i think
12:06you must have listened this everywhere many times you know rejection comes or i have no time or it's
12:11again the same direct selling blah blah blah and whatnot but what rather i have in my mind you know which i
12:18usually uses this approach is to make a friend first you know then try to understand about the
12:23person uh in short you know the weaknesses as well some people may need money you know especially now
12:30you see the economy and whatnot so you try to be a good messenger you try to go to people with some
12:38solution or some opportunity i think that will help you know if that's it the person is looking for some
12:43additional money for the family then you can talk about the business opportunity but if let's say
12:49a person has got some health issues we have got ample of products which can help them you know
12:54for their health purposes and yeah there's someone people looking oh i'm so free i want to do something
13:00so we need to understand the people first not everything is business you know there are people
13:06who will need some time uh in order for them to understand what actually you do and what they need to
13:12do you know that matching thing need to be there so please understand the people first no force nothing
13:18and through that you make a good relationship they come to know about you they know your identity
13:23i think eventually they will follow it's also very important to uh for them to uh
13:28be confident with the product right because that's what they have to be the consumer first
13:34if they're not a consumer i don't think so they can be able to sell their brother is that true i mean
13:39normally yeah uh dj that's why you see it's very important to understand the person first but as
13:44usual a simple approach what we do is this when there is guests come to our house or when we meet
13:49a friend outside the what is the first thing we will do we'll order a drink so why not a dxn coffee you
13:55know let's have a copy let's toast you know this kind of thing so you can start that from a coffee your
14:00conversation if they feel good about the coffee then next next next next next so that kind of uh natural
14:08approach i think is very good for our business yeah dxn is now global i mean we all know that
14:15there are 180 countries a lot of new uh offices opening up i think uh last year we had an office
14:21probably argentina uh uk um so we are we are globally huge we are we're growing a lot of factors are coming
14:28up as a marketing person how do you handle difference in culture across the world because i know that you
14:36handle thailand malaysia uh indonesia we uh and also singapore right uh so so we have my mind as
14:45well so we've got different culture and you just came up from thailand as well so how do you handle
14:50you know different culture because yes one world one market same marketing plan but the understanding uh
14:58you know in terms of language culture how do you handle that message actually mr dg um as i mentioned
15:05just now it is fun of course uh when you win them but it's also challenging because why language barrier
15:13culture the people and things like that you know um again i will go back to the simple approach mr dg
15:19before even you want to do anything especially your business or you get a person to become your member
15:25please be friends get to know them then from there you see how basically you can offer the opportunity
15:32you know uh that that is something which is very important because you are from malaysia so when you
15:37go to other countries do they look at you the cultural background again language so do they look at
15:45you a person that they look uh high upon you or do they listen to you how does that no that
15:54definitely happened uh mr dg yeah of course uh from the members point of view there is someone
16:00coming from the hq you know they know that imd is coming obviously uh the expectation is there
16:06number one because okay you are very close to the company you are the best person to guide us and
16:11lead us you have a lot of information and maybe with your what you call a guidance you know there's
16:16some improvement can come into the business of course yeah they're a group you know so obviously
16:21that is one part dg but uh you see if you want to win a person you have to be like them that's a
16:28very simple ideology example if you go to one country they have a different culture so be like
16:34them yeah follow them exactly join them whatever they do just anticipate you know so they will feel
16:39that you are respecting their culture you are respecting the way how you know they're living in
16:44their approach and whatnot so you'll be part of it then from there you find your way so for those uh
16:50listeners uh who's watching don't be afraid of uh mr sis imd so whenever we come there please
16:56welcome us with open uh open arm or you know so so that we can work together with them and uh
17:03things can go on smoothly i mean i think language i think it's not a barrier language is actually not
17:08a barrier mr dgy why because dxn is everywhere and wherever we go we talk one language only that is dxn
17:14language right so even you show a coffee also you know you're talking about coffee even you show a
17:19plan also they know you're talking about the plan so it's a very simple thing don't make things
17:23complicated and blending is very important the moment you see our logo uh you know where the moment you
17:29even see dxn they know who we are you know where are we from what's the common um marketing slip up
17:37uh that you have a fascist scene and how do you handle that uh whether with the leaders or even
17:44with the staff in marketing stuff so there's a lot of slip ups that happen uh when you do a marketing
17:50drive or you know or even with the marketing club how do you handle that mr dgy the common one which i
17:56have seen is this people fail to differentiate the conventional uh approach and also the direct
18:02selling approach so uh i would advise yeah members or even the staff you must understand the uniqueness
18:10of this industry and you must know that how to bring the growth uh in this industry you know if you
18:16there's a lot of comparison basically you can make between conventional and this direct selling approach
18:21so that is number one that you should know many a times i see people try to relate back with what they
18:26know whatever they seen on the tv whatever people talk outside you know in commercial things are
18:32they try to apply the thing here eventually they become fail you know they think that it is just
18:36one of sell the product sell the product sell the product and then i make that money done you know
18:41this kind of things all happen even the worst uh mr dg over claiming of things right i was just about
18:48to ask you that then uh yeah you can explain it because over clearly i mean you must and you must
18:54consume the product you must understand why the product is there just share the benefits but not to go
19:00over but don't over claim on the products um can you give us an example like okay because some
19:05people may not understand what does over claim mean um maybe you can give an example of clipping
19:11you to say if you eat this can cure your this health if you eat this you can make something super right
19:19we don't do over cleaning things you know but you must just understand the benefits of the product
19:24then you share with the people you know you don't even make a fake uh what you call uh statement you
19:30join this company you can become millionaire you know this kind of things is all over claiming uh there
19:35is a process that you will have to go through but again the bottom line you must understand why you
19:40are in this unique industry what is the objective of the company this company has been in the market for
19:4732 years strong and imagine 180 countries you know with 32 years old company how would that be possible
19:55so in the very early days our founder and chairman executive chairman he has come up with this idea
20:02and he has you know worked very hard in order for this system to come through and it turns out to be
20:09very successful so just follow the system don't reinvent because the system is already very simple
20:16mr dg and and it's proven duplicable anyone also can join this system and it's achievable you know
20:24many a times we have got such a testimony mr dg that they just follow whatever you say they just follow
20:30but it come to the point of time oh i didn't realize that i have achieved like this right you know so the
20:36system is proven as we speak about this 300pv i'm sure um when when you have experienced some of the
20:45members they come up with creative ideas on how to achieve that channel preview on a monthly basis
20:51maybe you can share a story of some of the members who have done something creative so that the viewers
20:58out there can also you know get some ideas how to to do the trailer preview on a monthly basis is there
21:04anyone that you came across some creative ideas did you actually have many you know uh throughout my
21:10years of service i've come across many testimonies let me just go back to something very basic
21:16sometimes when you show this sign 300 pv right uh yeah people it's easy to accept 300 pv but the
21:23question will again come back how how to achieve that 300 pv you already said to do three ever how so you
21:30know when i first joined uh dh7 when we had this so you know as a common man you know is it a cult uh
21:36sign that you know what so you know like people don't know right yeah so i don't remember you
21:41were saying 300 pv yeah please do share you know so you see mr dg like very simple you know all this is
21:47go through a process of education create some awareness so when you say something go for 300 pv but how
21:55you must have that explanation of the how some creative ideas and things like that very simple
22:00thing mr dg just consume the product for yourself how to do that so change your brand whatever brand
22:07x you have using at home please change that entire thing and you change with dx and products be it a
22:13toothpaste your beverage to whatever you know and not only for you but your entire family trust me
22:20with that change also it will bring more than 300 pv mr dg you need soap you need shampoo you need
22:27the detergent you need everything coffee your supplements to food to cereal to with ample of
22:34products mr dg actually 300 pv is nothing for family consumption you know second thing of course um if you
22:44see from the expect of uh supplements people think oh it's supplements it's just for help purposes only
22:50nothing more if i have problem then i'll consume otherwise no but my concern would this be i every
22:56time like to joke with ladies you know if someone falls sick in the family who is the first person to
23:00be blamed that is ladies why if you don't put a good food on the table then how can you assure your
23:06family is you know uh healthy or not so if anyone falls sick means you should blame the mother the wife
23:13you know at home so i tell to the ladies also whatever products we have got you know transform
23:19that into from the kitchen right now whatever soup you do whatever whatever you prepare dishes you know
23:26just put some spirulina some gl these that and whatnot make that meals to become more healthy see this
23:33a very creative idea everything start from the kitchen it's a daily intake daily intake exactly
23:38daily intake so keep yourself healthy while you're healthy and not keep yourself healthy when you're
23:44not healthy yes i totally agree with that and uh moving to the next era in in dsn you know we always
23:53talk about digital marketing ai which has exploded the entire world how has dxn handled this situation
24:02or moving forward how how are y'all in terms of our session in marketing um how do you manage that
24:08because there's a lot of uh people talk about ai uh digital marketing social media what's your take on
24:15that mr dg time changes everything change technology also changes all right question here is this with such a
24:28change it can helps you in uh growing your business then why not go for a change look back at the early
24:36days the handphone we used to use very small handphone energy right just put the sim card and we use we
24:41don't know what is whatsapp to connect people very difficult we just call you know this kind of things
24:46all but technology changes you know and what's more i can see the landscape of the entire business now has
24:53changed after the pandemic you know everyone embrace uh you know technology or it ai started coming in
25:00these that everything you know so much of stories is happening outside there obviously if you look in
25:06a positive point of view if this digital marketing basically can help you your team and also to grow
25:12your business why not go for a change and age doesn't matter age doesn't matter mr dg even you
25:18see tick tock you're widely used now in malaysia you know widely used even you can see the middle
25:24age even old people also see do life am i am i right this is what i'm doing this message a couple of
25:29days back i actually got a notification on facebook uh this one's my dad he's actually 80 years old and
25:35he actually created a facebook account and he sent me a resource like okay so it's uh you know there's no
25:41barrier but sometimes they they find it uh they feel a bit fearful to stand for the camera and everything
25:49so i think uh they have to break that and you know go into analytics you see mr dg we we have youngsters
25:55coming into the accent and of course you see if you don't change uh you don't change for this uh
26:00technology you don't embrace the technology right we may lose that young generations also you see now
26:06everybody uh any age you know they love tick tock they want easy can get connected to people and
26:12all and you know this is also a testimony to our members mr dj many of our members has found prospects
26:19even you know internationally just by connecting facebook you know from the tick tock they got many
26:25prospects uh quite inspired with their presentation they are posting and eventually become members
26:31so why not this is another tool for this business you know it's another tool to create you know you
26:39were talking that you were in the action for k1ness what keeps you so long in the action you know uh is
26:47there a passion that involves or you know to to kind of like um what what does it keep you moving going
26:56on yeah dj actually we have in this era we don't see many people working more than two years in a
27:03company but you are 21 years so please let us know let the people know what is so you know your passion
27:12dj i like to explore something new uh that's number one and uh i'm a kind of person if i do
27:18something i want to keep on adding value because uh if you never try out you never know uh mr dj coming
27:25from a different background and now into a direct selling i find now in direct selling is very
27:29interesting believe me or not many conventional companies outside there are also aiming to change
27:35their approach go to direct selling already you know there's one part so that means i must say that
27:40i'm in a very right industry i've chosen a very right industry a very bright career part you know
27:46what makes me interesting mr dj that's a million dollar question in dxn itself specifically you look you
27:52know such a simple system uh a visionary leader our our founder dr li uh which have touched the
28:00touched the million hearts you know the people worldwide so why not uh you know be in this uh
28:08direction you know and uh when i started involve myself more into dx and i find a lot of happiness uh
28:16mr dgy why because there's every time i say the more you help to people right you are being blessed
28:23so i must say i've been blessed in many ways yeah so our duty is to help people to achieve what they
28:30want in their life and all this is blessings i've got one last question for you a simple but powerful
28:39tips to the members out there on how to sustain and grow in this business and the most important
28:45because we're talking about pv how do they maintain that pv so do you have any tips for them so that
28:51they can pick up from this uh you know podcast and at least do it you know when they when they see
28:58uh when they do the business uh mr dj the tips is very simple actually just follow the system
29:03what is there you know so just follow the system as simple as that uh but yes uh now you see the
29:20company is 32 years uh there's a lot of things for you to talk about the company right so make dxn as
29:27as your lifestyle but not just only a business you know it's a way of life this is what something you
29:34should project to the people out there that you join dxn what dxn actually has changed you you know
29:40the lifestyle is uh very important thing and the most important thing uh mr dg from the day once you
29:46join as you move on you know into this business document all the journey right document all the
29:52journey because the time will come uh you will share this thing to the people to inspire them
29:58how you started how was your journey what you have achieved and all this basically it's a very fruitful
30:04thing you know you will see when you come to a point of a time it's actually thank you so much for
30:08your time and you know it was a wonderful information being shared to know how important the marketing plan
30:15is i mean of course we we did not speak so much about it yes basic information about marketing plan
30:23and um so that people know the importance and how to simplify the marketing plan not not to scare people
