00:00welcome to our 8th episode of dxn coffee talk today is going to be a very special podcast
00:20why because we've got a very special person he is actually from india but he's heading to a
00:26country called argentina where the market is booming it's a new market that dxn is going into
00:33so let's invite and welcome mr radish our branch manager who's going to be based in argentina
00:40mr radish welcome uh to our dsn coffee talk i think this is going to be the first pisc from
00:48another country who we have invited for a podcast thank you for your time thank you so much and
00:54uh since actually ladies and gentlemen we we actually managed to get mr radish here because
01:00he was uh you know here for training so let him explain uh tell me a little bit about yourself
01:07where you started where you from uh background about you so first of all i would like to thank
01:13you for inviting me to such a this uh global platform of your podcast and um and i am honored
01:21to be here and to be listened by our uh global leaders and all our management so uh myself radish
01:32naya so i i am being assigned to a new assignment as a branch manager in dxn argentina so i'll be
01:41relocating soon i'm in a transition uh transition is going on okay so uh soon i'll be relocating
01:49there actually that stream is going to be today yeah he's flying off today to to argentina street
01:56uh yeah argentina street to argentina before we go into the argentina market tell me a little bit
02:02when you started with dxn which year what were you doing yeah so actually i started with dxn the past
02:09five years before and actually before that i was into finance and taxation part specializing in
02:15indirect and direct access and audits across statuities so i was born into a technical site
02:22so in india in india so uh later on i came to know about the dx uh through my family and uh through
02:31my colleagues so uh i was much fascinated about uh dx and i used to heard more more about dx so uh then i
02:40came to know about the opportunity we have in dx so we don't know when the our doors and doors in the
02:48life uh opens so and now i think i took the right chance and right door open to me so i took that uh
02:59chance because it was a transition to operational level which there you need to manage uh when i was in
03:05finance i need to oversee audit monitor the business here and we need to uh manage the things okay and
03:14provide results so this was a very much turnaround for my life and i'm happy that i chose it and i
03:24opted for that uh opportunity and i went forward because definitely it was a thing which was out of
03:31my comfort zone so i took the different industry that you've been doing right totally different
03:37industry and it was a uh also a different uh industry not a conventional industry we have that
03:43wrestling uh totally it's a different industry so i took that as an operation manager and i joined
03:50first uh posting was in noida no i belongs to south of india but it was yeah yeah i'm from kerala i'm
03:59kerala south of india it is so i was posted to a north of india uh near delhi delhi capital of india
04:07so i was posted my first posting was there in the operations department to manage the warehouses we have
04:13a major one of the biggest warehouse in noida we uh we had in india so we uh i started there uh and that
04:22was my first time weather and with the uh i i should acknowledge uh my superior mr rafiq uh mr rafiq if
04:31you are hearing you i'm sure you'll be looking even watching this video soon so thank you to mr rafiq
04:37acknowledge uh he is currently our cto uh he uh provided me the opportunity to grow and guided me
04:45uh across my career uh till date he has guided me and uh given me the opportunity to take up this
04:55responsibility he put uh faith in me and given a big huge responsibilities to him and uh over the
05:03period i i was able to showcase my abilities and i was able to uh perform well and accordingly i grew
05:13and uh over the years uh i became the operations manager uh uh uh low monitoring looking after the
05:23pan-india operations uh warehouse branches stockist so yeah yeah it very much uh very big responsibility
05:35i want to backtrack a little bit yeah um you joined the xn 2019 yeah right and you are now 29 sorry
05:42i just have to tell your age in front of the camera uh forgive me of that uh a very young uh
05:48person uh 29 and then you join in 2019 uh why i'm asking you this question is because this is just
05:54right before kobe so maybe you can uh run through with us uh with your your loss uh you know when the
06:02time that you join in and during that kobe what what actually happened i joined in october 2019 and the
06:10uh almost after six months the covet uh strike india so uh it was very challenging for me also because
06:21i was uh so young and i'm facing such a challenge once i joined six months within six months i have to
06:26face such a big challenge and uh this was not only professionally as it was a personal crisis not for
06:34only me all the staffs distributors and uh it was uh it was a human crisis which we had uh and uh if we say
06:47the uh in companies all the companies were struggling and tested for their survival they were they were
06:56uh tested for the survival and dxn is the company which stand out the all other countries all other
07:06companies which uh under the leadership of our honorable chairman that took him he and all the ksms and
07:17the indian management we witnessed a compassionate uh leadership wherein uh we uh are provided they
07:27ensured the safety of the staff and at the same time also the ensured the operations are not interrupted
07:38they with all the safeties from mentioning all the companies other companies were laying off
07:44they're cutting down their resources because they are not able to do the business but uh considering
07:52the major philosophy value of dx and that dxn is one family and we withhold that value and we cared for
08:02all our staffs and the distributors we uh started the working uh whoever can do the work from home we
08:11started doing that and a few uh few people including me i was on the ground level uh yeah noida at that time
08:20i was in the ground level to support because i was able to uh support distributions but the factor which
08:29which still is there in my mind is that uh my superiors used to call me not for the what's happening in the
08:37operation no how are you that was the thing uh that was the thing uh they used to ask like who are you
08:44and that time you were reporting to mr rafik uh yeah mr rafik uh and all not only the uh these are all
08:50our colleagues uh staffs we used to because everyone was somewhat the other phasing however we coordinated
08:58that is the time which we see a unity in staff not only the staff the distributors also they were also
09:06we are able we are calling them to see sir how are you how are you it's or everything all right
09:12they are calling back to see the whether you're all right and the thing is going on uh the covid
09:17time right um because of course everything stopped and everything um but you mentioned that
09:21manufacturing was still going on operation was because uh were there uh business going on
09:27were distributors still uh you know need products yes because here in russia what was told is because i
09:33joined after covid post covid and uh we had uh quite a high sales in terms of uh supplements especially
09:42rg gel and spirulina as well what was in india yeah we because we had this uh not only the terms of
09:49business we need to ensure the well-being of our distributors also we need to uh ensure that the
09:56supplements which we have because they are they consuming it it is helping them uh to maintain their
10:02well-being and immunity so we uh we we are there too it's our great responsibility we should ensure that
10:10this is uh we uninterruptedly supply this uh to our distributors who have faith in the accent so um
10:20we uh along with my management and the government departments and also many distributors also with
10:28they having contacts they helped us to ensure we uh we continue there because i think um within two
10:37weeks because there was uncertainty and the uh all other companies were waiting to like uh to lock down
10:44to be over but we aren't because uh we don't know what is going to happen within two weeks we are able to
10:54to open uh ensure that operations are there and uh not only this uh all the our uh career partners
11:02everyone uh also uh face the struggle and but they still stand down to have this uh continue continued
11:11operation along with the uh well-being of our staffs and the distributors so that we are with them we are
11:20always safe yeah you mentioned about leadership uh dato's leadership and also your bosses you know
11:28and and during this pandemic it is so very important to have good leaders who are just so
11:35example um and then be united and also that when we always talk about one family um tell me a bit a
11:42little bit about the leadership skills that well you you and also your your bosses had during that
11:48time yesterday uh yesterday uh we actually had a event with one of the members um they had a home
11:55office event outside after office also i attended and we were talking about leadership and then how
12:01a leader should lead by example and that's where i think the hn stands out uh when they have proper
12:08leader uh maybe you want to share your experience yeah actually what i have observed among the because i
12:16you i used to observe my superiors because we used to learn from that observations only okay so whether
12:23we can read books but practically we are seeing our superiors and it is i'm very blessed to have
12:32indian along with mr rafik we have mr dipe is so experienced from mr for fix so experienced i am very much
12:40blessed to have worked directly under them because uh the uh one of the key factor which i liked is
12:48they listen listen okay they allow me to express myself give suggestions and they listen to that i think
12:59as a leader is very important they have to listen right i mean no matter whether it's from the manager
13:04from the rack and file uh which a lot of leaders don't have that skill listening is not easy and it's
13:13also important yeah yeah listening and because definitely my perspective will be different his
13:19perspective will be different and every person has their own perspective and uh what i have learned
13:25from them is they listen and then they decide okay because definitely they have seen much uh of the
13:31uh they are much experienced and uh and we value that uh based on the decision okay he listened and based
13:39on he took the decision and uh we value the uh that uh uh decision and we need to execute uh the same
13:46that's our responsibility to to the so uh being a leader and i also implement in my team that i listens to
13:55my team and whatever they then only uh i take any decision after that so that is what and the second
14:02is the adaptivity they we need to be first observe things then accordingly adapt the uh adapt the policies
14:14and strategies rather than just uh plug and play we should study the adapt what is the strategy to be
14:23adapted then we observe we study and we improvise um we were talking about kobe you know uh doing
14:31kobe and what about post kobe what what um transpired during the postcode because everyone was a bit
14:38uh you know everyone started to wear masks you know everyone only now they all talk about hygiene
14:44where hygiene is supposed to be like you know way before uh things change things change uh during uh post
14:51kobe did you what did you experience uh how was it different uh before during kobe and we spoke about
14:59before and uh during what about post kobe yeah i see uh when this uh uh this kobe actually gave us a lot
15:08okay we lost a lot but we learned a lot because dxn came back with more united more stronger
15:18uh because we uh we are network normally a network of uh people our business is network of people so we
15:29actually got to know the strength of the network right because people were sitting at uh they started
15:37networking they this is just more and uh any uh if you see other industries they were going down but we
15:47were expanding correct correct we were expanding and we are growing and one of the expansion is
15:54actually dxn cyberville yeah because uh i was told that i joined uh dxn in 2020 i said 21 just right
16:02after they built uh you know this thing and apparently um or chairman actually bought it uh before and
16:09construction was going on during just yeah uh a lot of expansion was going on yeah right when the
16:15companies were struggling to survive we were expanding and so we should be grateful to our beloved chairman
16:23that he built a such a strong system to it though initially we just trembled but we were on track very
16:32soon with that system we immediately came to the uh like a war zone uh uh we survived war room was
16:42prepared and uh immediately the actions was taken and we didn't only survive we expanded growth and hit
16:51back with more stronger and more unitedity many many many many things yeah no looking many things uh we
17:00learned uh we came online online meets found the only now everything is online online meetings you know people
17:07don't have to uh go anywhere to learn things everything is got online so i i think this uh and this pandemic
17:17also gave us a lot a lot this because now uh people uh this importance of online meetings came in
17:25and uh social media tools so i hope to use the social media digital marketing everything came in
17:31and it is a click away from so this after pandemic we became more stronger thank you for actually
17:39coming up with this point about um you know uh online digital marketing i actually have the question
17:46later but since you already bring this up i want to ask you the the revolution of marketing from
17:53um the old school style to uh soft skill to to digital to ai what's your take on it uh because
18:02the world is going towards ai everything is all digitalized you know everything is right uh no longer
18:07the you know i'm knocking the door and hey look i'm selling the coffee what what how did you experience
18:13i'm sure you've experienced before and now what's your take on it and what do you feel of see uh definitely the
18:20uh uh even if one more i believe it doesn't comes if one more pandemic comes we we are ready for it
18:31it's paid because just like yeah yeah just like uh disease comes right antibody generates we have
18:37then we have our antibody okay we are ready for this and considering we should be adaptive if we going
18:46forward we are conservative then we will not be able to grow as we as based on our capability we should
18:56be adaptive and we should be able to work out of our comfort zone we have a lot of uh senior members
19:04here in malaysia that uh they're very skeptical about digital marketing ai social media i mean people are
19:12scared yeah um how to uh we understand the young generation is fine but we were talking we have
19:18a lot of senior members even in india or everywhere around the world but i do see there's some difference
19:23with them you know i i see a 16 70 years old uh uncle in the action as a member doing tiktok and everything
19:30yeah so i is that something something that we would like to encourage everyone to do it yes yes definitely
19:35it is uh see uh you are reaching out to millions you there is a capability that one video if you make
19:43a one call you are reaching out to one person but making a one video you may you can reach out to
19:50millions of people and give pass on your message and i hope this podcast today that we're doing is
19:55going to reach all the millions of members out there you know to to see what uh info that you can share
20:01with them yeah definitely so we should be adaptive uh because the world is changing and changes in
20:08inevitable right we have to adapt the change and if people miss care about that no changes is using this
20:17that but the thing is that the ai or any uh digital marketing tool will not replace you will replace
20:27those who are not using it just the fear that people yeah yeah yeah they they will be replaced they
20:34will be replaced but that is not the factor if you know how to use this you will be replacing those who
20:41don't you don't know and and in our business in in dxn we still need that human touch yes uh it is
20:49it's definitely something that people want to you know uh i still need to come and see you emotional
20:55emotionally emotionally emotional connection is very much required which uh i don't think so
21:01still a is able to conquer that okay emotional to see people yeah see people understand people
21:09emotionally that is much required and which wherein our digital media stands for we can see people we
21:15can communicate them other people can see us our cmo mr salim every time i do podcast i always mention his
21:22name why because we are doing this online you know we're doing this you know we showcase this on
21:28youtube kick talk mr salim every time he insists of you know going big digital yes uh which i totally
21:35agree with him and every time when we have members coming here i i always tell them that you look
21:40this is the message that mr salim has you know mentioned to us having said that i want to ask you
21:45something what are you actually doing here in malaysia okay uh so i i i came came here last two weeks
21:51before so i am here as a part of comprehensive training for my next assignments to dx and argentina
21:59so here i was able to connect with all our key uh people key hod's of each department who are the
22:08integral part of the system and it was very uh eye-opening for me to learn very many many things
22:16which is uh which which also they also uh communicated the um the uh the commitment which they require from
22:28my side what they expected me to do there so that was clearly communicated uh to me so it was a
22:38very good uh training sessions to have here and uh definitely i'm hoping that uh once i'm there
22:46so i will be able to stand the trust from from what you've been doing in india and then now in
22:53in in argentina even there's a branch yeah definitely uh here there i'll be having a more on
23:00responsibility side it is a good job but still uh i am happy that i am being guided by uh my uh superiors
23:12very experienced uh one and i am still uh happy this day uh uh especially for this opportunity to be given
23:20to me uh miss evelyn miss mr salim and mr pajit uh for entrusting me and believing in me that i can do this
23:30uh definitely there is experience they we have lots of experienced stuff okay so uh here what the dxl
23:40systems the merit they looks for is the commitment passion how passionate you are okay these are the
23:49merits and the dedication towards your work so they these are the merits for the uh dx i believe the dxl
23:59systems has in uh looks in a person when they are uh uh and it automatically is it is in a system that
24:08they allow us to grow so uh dx in the dxl system this is a beautiful thing which i believe is that to
24:17grow in the system whether you if you're staff or if you are a distributor it's uh the uh commitment
24:25and passionate passionate how passionate you are about what you do this is the only merit which
24:32takes you uh all higher and higher and i also believe for the willingness to learn new things
24:38yes because uh i mean you you can have different backgrounds especially here in dx and we always
24:45believe in multitasking right yes so you you are specialized in something but then you're doing
24:49something else uh as long as i think you're willing to learn like you said the passion uh the hard
24:54working your dedication this all comes in but willing to do the right right it's a very important
25:00thing and of the uh there is that is actually what i mentioned to come out of your comfort yeah
25:08this is what you know if you do it will not lead you to the growth what you don't know learning
25:15it that is coming out of your comfort yeah comfort zone learning this and doing it uh otherwise
25:23uh your growth is okay uh growth will be there but it will be not as expected to your capabilities
25:31and your abilities and definitely uh dxn system its values and its philosophy ensures that the person
25:40who uh adapt such uh ethics and such policies in his life definitely he will go
25:48so mr is have you been to latin america before absolutely this is why i'm asking christian is you
25:55see uh being an asian you have a very rich uh background right cultural background you know
26:01sometimes in like orthodox kind of thing uh going to an entire new world of uh a new country
26:09especially in latin america language food culture it's all going to be different
26:14so before you learn uh before i ask you the next question maybe you want to just say a few words
26:19in spanish because you told me that you're learning you know spanish uh now and and that's the main
26:25language there in spanish so let me say a few words in spanish so that people will know i'll i'll
26:31i'll address to my uh argentinian uh leaders that be honest yes como estas right so good morning how are you
26:41good morning and how are you so but they're still in the uh uh it's learning stage only okay still
26:48learning every day see you see you see you again willing to learn something that yeah so uh talk to
26:54me about the culture difference that you're going to have it may be a challenge uh it may be fun to you
27:02know learn new culture because from from an asian country to latin america uh how are you going to
27:09manage that uh see uh i mean first of all i'd like to highlight about india india is a diverse
27:17country in uh if you see as a diversity in language in culture every province has its own language its
27:26own culture and if a person is working across india so it is already an ecosystem is there to showcase
27:37his adaptability to learn the adaptability because uh i in my experience in dxn i was i make from a
27:46south from south india i've been plucked and replaced in the north india i was there to to end a half
27:52fast then i have to came back because the uh because of my responsibilities change and i have to be in
27:59head office and that too not in kerala in tamila that too again uh even though kerala and tamiladu nearby
28:06it's a again a different language different uh this uh different culture so i need to adapt to
28:13that i will need to learn things too because definitely in language if i speak english okay
28:19it's okay for them but to be more emotionally connected to them i should learn the language i
28:25should adapt to their culture then only the uh as a as a my team i will be able to lead it properly
28:33because emotional connection is very much required uh to communicate our thoughts because uh that uh
28:42the thoughts will be much more expressed in um their mother tongue um last question to you
28:52okay so now that was uh the already we had our ecosystem in india uh uh to develop our adaptability
29:00skills so which is much required when we transition from uh india to argentina to have uh the adaptability
29:10of culture and uh observe listen to the them and definitely uh as i'm learning from my colleagues there
29:21i used to have already have our meetings them with them so the uh the market or the distributors the
29:28leaders are very passionate about what they do very much independent right so the market penetration
29:35there is slightly different than the asian market yeah right very much passionate they are very much
29:40independent and uh i am actually excited to work with them very much excited to work with them wherein
29:48they are most focused on business i am focused to provide them the infrastructure or infrastructure
29:54products and uh all the back-end supports which i can provide them to make latin already we know that
30:01uh what miracles has made in latin america like peru bolivia uh it's very personal and i believe
30:09argentina and brazil all all these are also growing at it uh we can see the growing trend is very high
30:16compared to other continents other uh countries so i'm very excited to meet there uh to go there
30:24because that is the main thing we when we come out of our comfort zone then only we can uh have our
30:30growth we can have learn new things because if we will be in our comfort zone we will not have that
30:37initiative to learn things uh to definitely then our growth will be stagnant we will not be able to
30:43grow you're talking about neighboring country bolivia because uh remember we had this conversation
30:49couple of days back uh i i watched the video of the launching of the office in argentina yeah
30:54and i noticed that a lot of similar uh familiar faces there our leaders from bolivia
31:00so are they the one who actually started off the stock is there bringing in uh to create the network
31:05yeah yeah yeah already we are having uh the business from uh bolivia okay uh and that is the main
31:14step which uh promoted the management to put enter penetrate into the argentina market uh
31:21also so definitely as uh because uh we have around 180 plus countries presence so this is through
31:29cross uh country uh uh business majorly because of that and we have uh such a great leaders there who
31:38are able to go to different countries to develop the local market introduce oh it is very many uh i'm
31:47very happy to have worked with them and to develop the argentina because it has a great potential if you
31:53see it is the eighth largest country in the world and second largest in the latin america so it uh it
31:59has a great potential and with the um what we see the growth there then uh it is definitely going to
32:08create and and uh we are also proud to announce that we are now we have reached 20 million
32:14distributors worldwide but just now a couple of days back um so this last uh question to you a message
32:22to the people out there who's watching this podcast uh any special message to the argentinian people
32:28there and also uh this uh first of all let's see i have communicated throughout the this podcast then
32:37only thing which i have seen i have experienced is the growth even if in your professional life if it
32:46is in your business or is it is in your personal life until you don't come out of the comfort zone
32:54then the your growth will be stagnant because then uh what you will be doing what you do
33:01it is not leading to the growth it is the thing which you don't know you learn and you do it will give
33:07you a growth so this is the message to i'll like to give uh this from my own experience which i have
33:16uh shared here and further uh for dx and argentina so i will be coming there so see you soon too i'm very
33:28excited to work with all uh and uh definitely we will be having we will be creating a history uh so
33:40that's all thank you thank you so much mr thank you so much for your time and uh it was a pleasure
33:45actually having a podcast with you and to all those uh the action argentina out there please do
33:51welcome mr with uh open arms and you know open heart well you know as usual like how the action
33:57family do so ladies and gentlemen thank you so much for watching our the accent coffee top and uh again
34:04it was a great pleasure to to have this podcast with mr radish and looking forward to see you with the next
34:10episode of the next episode of jxn coffee talk thank you
34:13thank you
34:23you
