00:00Some of the leadership and governance concerns also relate to the operation of ANU Council
00:07and Julie Bishop as Chancellor has overseen that council for some time.
00:12So, I mean, under that leadership, ANU is now subject to investigation by TEQSA, investigation
00:18by the Fair Work Ombudsman and we also think Comcare, the WHS regulator, should be taking
00:23a closer look.
00:24So, our position has been for some time, really, since the start of these job cuts
00:30where Julie Bishop was reported in the media describing ANU staffers' inefficiencies that
00:35the Chancellor should stand down.
00:39But that remains to be seen whether ANU can turn the corner with her still there.
00:44If she does remain in the post, look, I do hope that that's successful because ANU needs
00:50to turn the corner for the good of the community, the staff, the students and the country.
