In this tutorial series, we will cover the major features of HandBrake, including how to load source files, choose output formats, adjust quality settings, use presets, add subtitles, and export optimised videos for web, mobile, or archive purposes.

This lesson is created using HandBrake on Windows, but the same tools and techniques apply to the macOS and Linux versions as well.

00:00before rendering any footages in handbrake you can also go ahead and preview it so to do that
00:16I'm just going to go around over here onto file and select out video that I want to go ahead and
00:22render out first so I'm just going to go around over here and select out this footage let's say
00:27for example so as I were to actually go ahead and do that let's say for example if I were to go around
00:33onto filter right here you can see that there's different sort of filter I can go ahead and
00:38grayscale it let's say for example you do see the preview right here for that particular video but
00:45if you want to view the video preview itself then you can actually go around onto preview and then
00:50it opens up the preview window right here so let's say let's say I want to go ahead and crop it out
00:55as well so I'm just going to go around over here onto dimension and I'm going to go to custom and
01:01over here on the top I'm going to say 300 and 300 right here just like this and now you can see that
01:07the video gets cropped out so if I were to go ahead and preview this is what you have right here you can
01:12also go ahead and select timing for the preview as well just like this and it prefers system's default
01:18video player otherwise it'll simply go ahead and then use vlc media player so you can see that I can
01:26go ahead and crop this out as well to 50 pixels on the left right here just like this as well and then
01:32work around with it how you want as well so now if I were to go ahead and utilize the live preview
01:38then it'll go ahead and first process out the video right here just like this it'll process part of
01:44the video right here and then we'll open it out with a player so you can see that it's going to
01:50go ahead and process it and it does take a bit of time which is normal because it does has to actually
01:56go ahead and encode out the video and then you can see the preview right here just like this as you
02:04can see right here which is a five second preview as you can see so if you like it then you can go ahead
02:09and then encode it out as you want and that is how you can go ahead and preview video before encoding
02:15inside of handbrake so I hope you guys learned something as always and as always please like
