00:07in modern history. Kamala Harris has launched her toughest critique yet of her former boss,
00:13calling ex-president Joe Biden's decision to run for a second term reckless. The comments come in
00:19an excerpt of her memoir, 107 Days, published Wednesday in the Atlantic. In the piece, the
00:25former vice president also recalls feeling sidelined and denied credit by members of
00:30Biden's team. Joe, thank you for your historic leadership, for your lifetime of service to our
00:37nation and for all you will continue to do. Harris, a former California senator, made history as the
00:45first woman and the first black and South Asian American to serve in the U.S.'s second top job.
00:51But when Biden's re-election campaign collapsed, Harris stepped in as the Democratic presidential
00:59nominee. Despite an energetic sprint, she ultimately lost to President Donald Trump at the ballot box.
01:07While I concede this election, I do not concede the fight that fueled this campaign.
01:15With candor and reflection. Her book also describes the attacks she endured as vice president from
01:23right-wing critics and others, saying she got little help from the White House in beating those
01:28back. Harris plans to go on a book tour of 15 cities, including the U.K. and Canada, for 107 days.
