Telangana. Finally, the line has been cleared for 42 percent reservation for BCs in local bodies. To this end, Governor Jishnu Dev Verma has approved the Panchayat Raj and Municipal Act Amendment Bill passed by the state government in the legislative assembly. Similarly, a decision has been taken to lift the 50 percent reservation cap so far.
