00:00With elections expected in the first quarter of next year, questions remain over whether voter fatigue is setting in across Thailand.
00:08What Paul believes turnout will stay above 70%, as many see this as an opportunity to reward or punish parties in the current political climate.
00:20So I think the Thai voters are still active.
00:23They are not, of course, they kind of get tired of this political game, but I think they still want to express their voice and opinion through casting a vote, right?
00:33Especially in this kind of special situations, there are a lot of people get disappointed, you know, on certain parties.
00:40I think they want to punish or, you know, reward certain parties that they think they could, you know, do by casting their vote.
00:48So I think it will remain that, you know, 70% up.
00:53Paul added that the next election could see a more scattered vote, as support shifts away from certain parties.
01:01There are big portions of the people's parties, you know, who supported this party before,
01:12have been disappointed with the party decision to support Anutin.
01:15I think this portion of people and voters will probably express, you know, their anger and disappointment against people's party.
01:25And we could see, I'm not sure, but, you know, we could see their vote might be decreased, you know, by these conditions.
01:35And I think the Thai party might lose some of the vote as well, in that sense, because the mismanagement of the Thai-Cambodian conflict.
01:45The de facto priority of this government is to get more vote.
01:51You know, Anutin has been known for, you know, his, you know, political gambling and, you know, his, like, you know, maneuvering.
02:02So I think in the end, some of the vote might, you know, be diverted to his parties and his allies.
