00:00hi guys today I'll teach you how to fold a paper balancing bird it keeps itself
00:09level and can spin freely on your pen let's start folding any long narrow strip of paper works
00:21exact size isn't critical I've pre-folded to a big one and a small one the big one uses the long
00:34edge of a four five CMY the small one uses the short edge three CMY cut a strip roughly like
00:46that precision isn't required fold it in half top to bottom then left to right top is the open end
01:00fold the bottom two corners up to reverse the creases unfold pinch both sides inward and squash
01:19down fold the top corners to the midline repeat on the back for the wings draw an imaginary line
01:27between these two points and fold the top half down start with one side to get the angle right
01:34this bit is fiddly fold halfway then flip the paper over much easier from this side press flat flip back
01:43and flatten the other side tida that's the move use a ruler if you need help hold here crease the top
01:53then fold the whole section down now flip to the other side fold this corner across open the layer and
02:02tuck the flap underneath notice that same on the opposite side flip back and fold the model in half
02:12this end is the head open it up squash it down like an origami crane head push both sides
02:22inward and fold together adjust the head angle about like this is perfect your balancing bird is
