00:06available seats in University Malaya's accounting program this year.

00:10Citing UM's convocation data, we said nearly 200 students had graduated from the course annually

00:17between 2011 and 2024. JPT said yesterday that STPM top scorer Edward Wong was ranked 1,129th

00:26among 2,291 eligible applicants for UM, while only 85 places for accountancy were available

00:33at his top choice university this year. We called for a full review of the university intake process

00:40and transparency on how seats are allocated. He also dismissed UMNO Youth Chief Dr. Akmal Saleh's

00:47call for him to apologize to the Higher Education Ministry for his remarks on the case, adding that

00:52he was only highlighting the matter. On a separate issue, we sidestepped questions about a reported

00:58informal meeting between MCA, MIC and Pericata Nacional, telling reporters to ask PN Secretary

01:04General Azmin Ali instead. In June, we said the party's 191 divisions would discuss its future amid

01:12discontent over its lack of influence in Anwar Ibrahim's unity government and bring their proposals
