00:00Adam, a competitive Neil-Neill draw against Epsom and you, thoughts on that?
00:04Yeah, I'll just say to the lads in there, the circumstances and how we finish the game,
00:08obviously with the Simbin, we'll take the point all day long and probably over the 90,
00:13I think probably the right result. So yeah, no, we'll take the point, I'll just say it'll be a
00:18point game when we look back on it for sure. As I say, we've already had a time, it was
00:24quite a few, nearly the sort of 10 minutes, so you had to sort of with the Simbin nearly, wasn't it?
00:28Yeah, definitely. We had to dig in, to be fair, and it's something that people chucked at us that
00:34we can't do and we've done it now against Sat and Common who are one of the better sides and Epsom
00:39definitely one of the better sides. I mean, I watched them Friday night and obviously against
00:43them tonight, they're probably the best side I've seen in our league so far. So 100%, we've shown
00:49the game, we can sort of dig in and get some character to see us through the game. So yeah,
00:55good stuff. Yeah, obviously you've been free scoring and letting some in, obviously, but
01:00you've really sort of tightened up recently, haven't you, in the last few games?
01:02Yeah, definitely. Obviously, it's the big thing we've been working on and trying
01:06to nail down is defensively, without trying to take our threat away from down the other end.
01:12And listen, like I said, chances-wise, probably about right. Both had half-decent, half-cut chances.
01:21Both will argue probably should have scored within the game. So yeah, pleasing night overall.
01:28Yeah, obviously against a good side, you'd say it's one of the better sides and quite a few chances,
01:32especially in the first half, it seemed to be sort of quite open there.
01:35Yeah, it was almost the final pass for us in the first half, particularly down the right. I'm just
01:40saying to the lads in there, as we sort of get to the byline or we're running towards the box,
01:46we probably need to just make slightly better decisions. Because as you've seen across the
01:51season, if we can make them decisions and get the ball to the right people, we're going to score
01:54goals because we've got a person that will do that. Yeah, and so you've been scoring goals for
01:58fun and obviously you've got the players up there who have been delivering, you know,
02:01Louis and Farid consistently. And at half-time, what was the message going into that second half?
02:05It was more of the same. Try not to move away from what we've been doing all season.
02:14A few little details we tried to implement to help us get out either side. And again,
02:21listen, they've changed how they played second half and their shape and stuff and
02:25it probably nullified us for the first 15-20. And then we've changed and tried to go a little
02:32bit more direct with personnel up front and probably just sort of cancelled each other out as the game
02:37went on towards the Simbin. Obviously, a key moment, a penalty save from Harry White. It was a great save,
02:44wasn't it? Yeah, brilliant. And the only person who's probably bailed out is the referee, unfortunately.
02:50But yeah, listen, we were really patient over the summer for Harry. We knew and we were hopeful that
02:57he would become available to us and we'd be able to get him in and so we know his qualities. Obviously,
03:02Carl's worked with him before, etc. So yeah, the big man's done well, done well since he's coming.
03:08And Will Shaw in today and managed to get him off the bench for a debut,
03:11just sort of a good team to get a run out and get up and running there.
03:14Yeah, Will's someone, again, we sort of chased in the summer and he chose to go somewhere else
03:21and earlier in the week it became an option that he could come in to us. And yeah, we jumped at the
03:27chance. He's an experienced lad. He's played at the top end of step five for a number of years. So
03:33to get a player like him involved in our group will be of massive value going forward.
03:37Yeah, obviously the penalty decision went against him. I guess obviously Alfie Simbin in at the end,
03:42it was just sort of frustration sort of building up with a few things.
03:45Yeah. And listen, I've got to be honest, for both sides, I think there are two good
03:49footballing sides trying to play the right way. And it was a nil-nil, but it was an entertaining game.
03:56And unfortunately, again, I'll say it for both sides. I think the man in the middle has let us down
04:00and I'll have to be a little bit careful because I'm already in a bit of trouble.
04:02But, listen, someone's ruined what could potentially have been a very good game of football tonight.
04:10So yeah, disappointing in that sense.
04:12Yeah. And even as you say, as it was, it was entertaining for a nil-nil still as it was, wasn't it?
04:15Yeah, exactly that. I mean, I've looked back at the decisions at halftime.
04:21And yeah, listen, I'm not going to go any further, but yeah, frustrating, really frustrating.
04:28Obviously, early days is a long way to go, but that point is actually taking you top of the league tonight,
04:31which is obviously a nice thing, isn't it? You know, you're never going to complain.
04:34Yeah, I'm not going to have a look because I don't want to put any pressure into us.
04:39And listen, we're not going to stay there because teams have played less games and will overtake us.
04:43So we want to be, we know where we want to be and we're around that when it all levels itself up.
04:49So we're happy.
04:50Yeah, it's obviously just a nice thing, isn't it?
04:53Yeah, it is.
04:54And thoughts now on Chipset on Saturday?
04:57Yeah, listen, they're going to be big sides from this league, that sort of end of the league.
05:04They're big, they're physical, they're individual, they're direct.
05:08So we're going to have to stand up and match it.
05:09And then when our lads match that, that first bit, I think the quality we've got within our ranks
05:15will cause real problems for teams.
05:17But again, as I'll say every week, it's going to be a tough test, no easy games.
