00:00The Summer I Turned Pretty will soon be retitled as The Summer I Visited Paris, and I have

00:05no complaints about it.

00:06In fact, knowing that not only Conrad, but also Jeremiah will end up in Paris soon makes

00:11me even happier.

00:13So let's talk about it.

00:14As you all know, Belle is in Paris now, and this means we are officially entering into

00:19the Emily in Paris' delusional territory.

00:22I don't know what it is about Paris, but whenever an American show ends up there, things go

00:27off the rails.

00:28So much so that someone might easily think we are watching a dream or something rather

00:32than the real life.

00:34And when I say dream, I don't necessarily refer to a good dream.

00:38In fact, it can easily turn into a nightmare.

00:40But even that is so abrupt that it is very difficult to believe it can be real life.

00:46Like you need to shut your mind down completely to even relate to your main character.

00:50I don't know about you guys, but that's exactly how I felt watching Belle in Paris.

00:55First of all, I need to applaud her for not missing her flight to speak with Conrad.

00:58Like, girl, you need to be alone, at least for a bit.

01:01Trust me, you'll enjoy it.

01:03However, my dear Belle, you lost me a bit when you jumped up to a place based on a single

01:08phone call with a school personal.

01:10I mean, anyone who went to any Erasmus program or any study programs abroad would know that

01:15not only getting accepted to a school is a big deal, but also it requires billions of

01:20documents.

01:21So, I'm truly shocked how confident Belle was flying across the world only a few hours

01:26after her failed wedding.

01:27Honestly, it is kind of impressive to be THAT confident, and I kind of admire that.

01:33Unfortunately, the school made a silly mistake and turns out they won't be able to accept

01:37Belle to the program.

01:39On top of this disappointment, when eating her lunch, she leaves her backpack on the table,

01:44and of course someone steals it.

01:45I mean, Belle, my dear, I get that this is your first time abroad, but come on now.

01:51You are an adult.

01:52You are about to be married for God's sake.

01:54So, how come you can be so irresponsible for your belongings in a country that you know

01:58no one?

01:59Seriously, like, even Emily in Paris wouldn't do that.

02:03That's all I'm going to say.

02:05Then she ends up in basically the shithole of Paris with an attempt to secure her bag,

02:10which, again, is a very bold move.

02:12Maybe even attacks a guy.

02:14And I mean, even though I respect her rage a lot, I think we can also acknowledge that

02:19this was a very risky move on her part.

02:21Plus, it seems like while acting this way, she got out from everything without any harm

02:26or so.

02:27Instead, she made new friends.

02:29And even a potential new boyfriend.

02:31Like, that French guy was utterly impressed with her.

02:34And if you watched the final trailer, you know that there will be something romantic

02:38between the two pretty soon.

02:40Welly will start working at a restaurant and build a life for herself in Paris.

02:44We all saw how she was inspired by the reconstruction of Notre Dame.

02:48And now it is time to reconstruct herself.

02:50And of course, that group of friends that she made on the first day of moving there will

02:55be there for her all the time.

02:57Which is crazy to me.

02:58Like, not only the many Parisians are not exactly known for their friendly attitudes,

03:03no shade.

03:04But also, how come you can be that lucky?

03:07You know what I mean?

03:08Like, we watched this girl jumping from one hot brother to other for years.

03:12And yet, this is the only thing that I ever felt genuinely jealous of her.

03:16In episode 10, we will see her trying to get over the fissures, and be a true Parisian with

03:21a cool friend group.

03:22In the meantime, Taylor will get in touch with her.

03:25And they will decide that it would be nice to get her over to Paris for a small trip.

03:29They will have the time of their lives.

03:31And Taylor will realize that Belly is now a true Parisian.

03:35She will even return to the US and let the Fisher boys know that Belly has truly moved

03:40on.

03:41The thing is though, one day the French guy will want to kiss Belly.

03:44And at that point, she will realize that she is not over Conrad.

03:48Yes, she loves her life here.

03:50Yes, she can pretend all day long that nothing bad has happened.

03:54But this is not the truth.

03:56In the breakdown, she still craves for Conrad, and she cannot help feeling this way.

04:01By the way, as you can see from the breakdown of the events, we will get massive time jumps

04:05in the next episode, visiting important events in Belly's life in the upcoming months.

04:10Because as we know from the books, it actually takes years for Belly to end up with Conrad

04:15after she moved abroad.

04:17And since we are left with only a couple of episodes, we need to speed up this complex storyline.

04:22Also, if you have been keeping up with the Summer I Turned Pretty fandom online, you might have

04:26seen the posts that people have seen not only Conrad, but also Jeremiah in Paris last year,

04:32when this season was being filmed.

04:34Do you know what this means?

04:35This means that Belly will get Conrad's first letter in the next episode, months after her

04:40move to Paris.

04:41And as she refuses to answer him, Conrad will be forced to come to Paris to take her back.

04:46I know, it is very much sex and the city coded, but as I said in the beginning, American shows

04:52love to romanticize Paris.

04:54So it is what it is.

04:56The interesting thing though, is the fact that Jeremiah will come with Conrad, basically letting

05:01Belly know that she has his blessing to be with Conrad.

05:04And I don't know about you guys, but this is completely crazy to me.

05:08This means that Mr. Fisher's advice will work out as Conrad will give Jeremiah the space

05:12he needs, to the point of him forgiving Conrad, and even supporting his romance with Belly.

05:17I mean, not gonna lie, I still feel very much bad for both brothers and hope to see them

05:22reconcile as soon as possible.

05:24But after all these drama, it is very difficult for me to imagine how they will end up reconciling

05:29to this level.

05:30Let me know how you imagine to see them come together as brothers and be supportive of each

05:34other again.
