TEL AVIV – In a joint statement, the spokesperson of the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and the spokesperson of the Shin Bet confirmed that the Israeli Air Force carried out a targeted strike against the top leadership of the Hamas terrorist organization in Qatar.
According to the statement, the individuals targeted had led Hamas operations for years and are considered directly responsible both for the October 7 massacre and for directing the ongoing war against the State of Israel.
Israeli authorities stated that, prior to the operation, measures were taken to minimize risks to civilians. These included the use of precision weaponry and additional intelligence information.
The statement also emphasized that the Israel Defense Forces, in cooperation with the Shin Bet, “will continue to act with determination to defeat the Hamas terrorist organization, responsible for the October 7 massacre.”
