Love Island USA’s Liv Walker, 21, experienced an unexpected fright while trying to learn to cook at home.
The reality star, who gained recognition in the sixth season of the hit series, accidentally set part of her hair alight while attempting a simple pasta recipe.
Determined to sharpen her domestic skills, Liv told her followers she had decided to launch an online cooking series, hoping to show her progress in the kitchen and, in her words, prove she could become “a good wife” in the future.
“I want to be a wife one day. To do that, I feel like I need to learn to cook, and I can’t cook,” she confessed in a video posted online.
Armed with a cookbook, she started with the basics: spaghetti with sage butter and lemon.
Initially, everything seemed fine: she boiled the water, fried some ham, and began working on the dish. But fans were amused by details such as her breaking raw spaghetti in half because she “thought that’s how her mum used to do it.”
The most alarming moment came when she leaned over to check the pasta. Her long blonde hair, worn loose, brushed against the open gas flame and caught fire.
