00:00With Trump being critical of NATO, how important are his European allies now?
00:05I think President Trump was really hoping that NATO and EU leaders would step up and help Ukraine
00:11so that the US does not have to get involved, certainly with any troops on the ground.
00:15I think that is a hard no for President Trump, is not to commit any sort of US troops into this war.
00:22NATO and EU, obviously, they were invited to the White House following the Alaska summit
00:27between President Trump and Vladimir Putin.
00:31And it looked great, certainly for the cameras, but at the end of the day, not much was done.
00:37Last week, the countries, some of the countries in the EU have pledged peace troops
00:42to go into helping secure the Ukraine-Russia border, but only post-war.
00:48So we have to get there first.
00:50Right now is, what can we do to get Putin to the table to meet with Zelensky?
00:55And of course, Putin had teased, I'm happy to meet Zelensky, but in Moscow.
01:00And of course, Zelensky is not happy about that.
01:03And he's proposing, counter-proposing to meet somewhere else.
01:07So right now, it's a word of words.
01:09Putin is going to continue bombing Ukraine.
01:12And I think that is where we are right now.
01:14It is a very, very hard line.
01:17Putin wants to get into Ukraine and wants to take his territories, if not more.
01:22And it doesn't appear as though NATO or EU leaders are doing anything very, very proactive
01:29about it.
01:29They're waiting for Trump's instructions.
01:31So I think that's where Trump is right now.
01:33He's either going to pivot or he's going to double down.
01:35But right now, additional sanctions are on the table.
01:38He's already warned Putin that that's going to happen.
01:43But whether or not that's going to be enough to actually move Putin to stop, no one knows.
01:48Putin has been talking to us.
01:53And of course, some people have been talking to China as a nation, foley Pushisi.
01:58When he comes to Russia, he finally used to fight, no man, for the change,
02:01he elime that was rec sprecared to Donald Trump ...
02:03...
02:06...
