00:00They lost their only son, the son who had left his country with dreams of giving his family
00:04a better life back home. From Jint in Haryana to California in the United States, Kapil's dreams
00:10were shattered by bullets at just 26. All because he stopped a man from urinating in public.
00:24In California, Kapil worked as a security guard. On September 5th, while on duty,
00:29he reportedly objected to a man urinating on the road outside the store where he worked,
00:34police said. In response, the man pulled out a gun and shot him, police said. Kapil collapsed
00:39on the street and was rushed to the hospital. But doctors could only declare him dead.
00:44Kapil was the only son of his family, a brother to two sisters, the sole heir of his farmer parents.
00:49In 2022, his family spent 45 lakh rupees to send him to the USA, not through a safe or legal path,
00:56but through the dangerous and illegal donkey route. A route no young life should ever have
01:01to take. Now his grieving family faces another burden, finding the money to bring their only
01:05son back home for his last rides.
