00:00Yeah, it's fun to play Monday morning armchair quarterback.
00:03We love to do it.
00:03Second guess those teams on Sundays.
00:05Wonder why teams had to come back and wonder why teams have absolutely blown big leads.
00:10My goodness, we're still looking at you, Baltimore Ravens.
00:13It's Donnie right side.
00:13It's Joe Ranieri.
00:14Now we welcome in Tom Vecchio.
00:16He's all over the Sports Grid Network.
00:17He's bringing that information.
00:19What a Sunday.
00:19What a weekend it was.
00:20But also, Tom, best part about Mondays is we continue with Monday Night Football.
00:24Love it.
00:25Yeah, we get things going early today to close out week one.
00:29I got to say, I was on the Ravens' money line last night.
00:31I thought I was looking good.
00:34You know, I had him at minus 107.
00:36I'm like, okay, we got a multi-score lead in the fourth quarter.
00:40They're going to run the ball.
00:41We got this tied up.
00:42It'll be a nice close to the day.
00:44And then that evaporated super quick because I guess Josh Allen is just continuing to be Superman.
00:50He does.
00:50And also, you know you can't go back and make a revisionist history.
00:54But if they just took knees starting five minutes where you don't have the Derek Henry fumble,
00:58like the game's over.
00:59But it wasn't.
01:00And they actually got beaten that game 41-40.
01:02It's amazing.
01:03But, Tom, we do have Monday Night Football on the docket tonight.
01:06A good divisional battle.
01:07The Minnesota Vikings and the Chicago Bears.
01:09And what I'd love to see this is we're not sure about the Vikings' offense because it's J.J. McCarthy until we see it.
01:14We're actually not sure about Caleb Williams either in this new Ben Johnson option.
01:18So let's start there.
01:19Point spread is minus one and a half.
01:20Road favorite for the Vikings.
01:21A total 43 and a half.
01:23What are your expectations for these offenses tonight?
01:26You know, I really think we're going to have a slow start.
01:29And, Donnie, going back years at this point, you know, one of my favorite bets that I've kind of just like a quick bet fun that I like to have is both teams to have punts on the first drive.
01:38And you can, you know, you can hardly get on fangled, a punt, punt, start.
01:42You normally get that like plus 110, plus 120.
01:44I'm really up in the air about what we're going to see in this game.
01:47So I have a couple of small plays on props, but if you told me that the live total at some point plummets to the mid-30s, then I'd be really interested in the over at that point.
01:57But I don't love the total.
01:59I would side with the Vikings.
02:00I think they're the better team, but I'm not sold on anyone right now.
02:08Oh, look at that, Joe.
02:09He's speechless over there.
02:11Joe's speechless over there at this point right now.
02:13Let me bring him.
02:14What are you?
02:15I got it.
02:16I got it.
02:16There he is.
02:17Oh, but you lost your voice.
02:19Yeah, all right.
02:20No, I actually kicked the mic wire out, but that's good.
02:23So we've got, does it really make a difference though, Tom?
02:26Because after what I saw in Green Bay yesterday against Detroit, I don't know that either of these teams we're going to see tonight are going to make a difference.
02:34They're going to make a run one way or the other here.
02:36Yeah, I'm not buying into the hype on the Vikings just yet.
02:41It's like, I want to see from J.J. McCarthy.
02:42And, you know, it's one of the things that's like, okay, everything around him is exactly the same.
02:47Like the players are the same.
02:48You bring in Jordan Mason.
02:49He's an extra running back.
02:50Like Justin Jefferson is still there.
02:52The coaching staff, et cetera.
02:53It's like, you're just now to replace Sam Darnold, who last year was like super efficient.
02:58He was way, way too efficient and way, way too good compared to what he actually is.
03:02Now, can J.J. McCarthy be 75% of what Sam Darnold was last year?
03:07Will he have some growing pains as a rookie?
03:08I think all those things are true.
03:10But at the end of the day, is that good enough to win the division?
03:13No.
03:13Are the Lions going to be better than what they showed yesterday?
03:15Sure.
03:16Are the Packers probably the favorite in that division now?
03:18Yes.
03:18All these things can be true.
03:20But when it comes to this game, I am hesitant to trust McCarthy to say, go out there and put up 30 plus points as a rookie quarterback.
03:27He's never played in the NFL.
03:28He's a rookie quarterback.
03:29Like, I hate this thing that he's never played, but all of a sudden he's not a rookie.
03:33And then just trust the offense.
03:34Like, the offense is going to be all over the place.
03:36I think for both teams, there's going to be learning curves for both teams.
03:40Yeah, I want to take a look, too, to see what some of those inactive reports that come out.
03:43Because a little bit banged up in the secondary are the Chicago Bears.
03:46But, Tom, this is a perfect correlation.
03:48Talking about the Lions yesterday, they didn't look all that good on offense, to say the least, against the Green Bay Packers.
03:53I like the Packers to beat the Lions yesterday, but I didn't think they would do it that easily.
03:57The reason I'm bringing this up is Ben Johnson now goes from Detroit over to Chicago.
04:01The expectations should be elevated for that Chicago offense coming in.
04:04But I understand where you're coming from.
04:06First game of the season, Monday Night Football game, bright lights versus a divisional opponent.
04:10Let's not rush this thing and go up and down the field.
04:12But is there a spotlight player on the Chicago Bears that you might be looking to tonight?
04:16Is it a wide receiver?
04:17Is it a running back?
04:18Or is it Caleb Williams?
04:19You know, it's interesting because, like, Ben Johnson, he's not just an offensive coordinator.
04:23He has, like, all these extra responsibilities as being a head coach down on top of him.
04:27So, you know, when it comes to trusting players, I really think Roman Dunzey is a player that I want to lean into on the Bears.
04:34I think he will elevate himself and take over the number one, you know, the quote-unquote number one receiver spot from DJ Moore.
04:40You know, they also added in Colston Loveland, like, there's a lot of good pieces on the Bears.
04:44But looking at Roman Dunzey, this is a player that I trust.
04:46He had the second-highest target share last year on the Bears, second-highest red zone target share.
04:50He actually had the highest end zone target share on the Bears last season, even higher than DJ Moore.
04:54So, I like Roman Dunzey.
04:56I like him over 50-and-a-half receiving yards.
04:58If there's one player that we can look to on the Bears, it's going to be him.
05:01It's not going to be the running back room.
05:03You know, Keenan Allen's not there.
05:04They draft Luther Burden.
05:06But there's a lot of interesting options.
05:07But I really think this is the buy low spot on Roman Dunzey.
05:10He elevates himself going forward.
05:12Mm.
05:13Okay.
05:13Well, I mean, it's an interesting Minnesota situation because they basically replaced four different guys' starters on the offensive line in the offseason.
05:24Darasaw is their best guy.
05:26He's coming off of ACL injury.
05:28But when healthy, he's one of the top five offensive linemen in the game.
05:32But that's four new starters on that offensive line for McCarthy.
05:36So, what are we going to get from him tonight?
05:37That, combined with Justin Jefferson, was, you know, a little bit banged up during training camp.
05:43And, again, they brought in Jordan Mason from the 49ers in the offseason.
05:47You know, I don't think there's a spot with four new offensive linemen and, like, eh, kind of up in the air.
05:51It's like, hey, let's have J.J. McCarthy drop back 35 times, put the ball in his hands, and we're just going to let him rip it.
05:59So, I like McCarthy under 31-and-a-half passing attempts.
06:02Again, you have a little bit of balance.
06:03You have that extra running back.
06:05You don't have to go all in on Aaron Jones with the offensive line, with Justin Jefferson.
06:09I think he'll be fine.
06:10Like, I truly do think he'll be fine.
06:12But he was dealing with an injury during training camp.
06:14I like McCarthy under 31-and-a-half passing attempts.
06:16If we're going to see kind of a slower, feel-it-out, lower-scoring type of game,
06:20I don't think either of these quarterbacks are going to be thrown for 40-plus times.
06:23So, if you get McCarthy, again, in the rhythm, mixing the running backs,
06:27we're not going to be pushing at 70-plus plays per team.
06:31Tom, everybody tonight, both sides, is plus money in the touchdown-anytime-touchdown-scoring market here.
06:37I'll give you two guys, because it's simple.
06:39You just got to hit one of the two.
06:40Give me two guys tonight you're looking for to find pay dirt tonight in this game.
06:44I don't mind buying into the narrative of Adam Thielen being back,
06:49but Colston Loveland, you know, their first-round draft pick for the Bears, at least,
06:52has plus 390.
06:54And, you know, the other tight end on the other side, TJ Hockinson,
06:56like, tight ends are great with young quarterbacks.
06:59They have the lower A-dot, they can get out quickly,
07:01so the quarterback doesn't have to take a 10-step drop.
07:03You just get the ball in and out.
07:04I would say the two tight ends, Hockinson and Loveland.
07:07There you go.
07:08Tom Vecchio bringing the heat here on a Monday morning.
07:10Tom, thanks for joining us.
07:11Check him all around the Sports Grid Network, which includes In Game Live.
07:14That's our boy Tom Vecchio.
07:16Are you ready for some football?
07:18It is a Monday night party tonight in the NFC North.
07:22It's the Chicago Bears and it's the Minnesota Vikings.
07:24Before he handicapped the game, Joe,
07:26Did You Know, a tweet surfaced from Dov Kleiman yesterday showing a 4-year-old J.J. McCarthy
07:32going to his first NFL game where the Bears hosted the Vikings 18 years ago.
07:38A little Urlacher jersey, a little Paul right there.
07:41Kid was all fired up.
07:42Now, he's looking to slay the beast tonight.
07:46Yes, yes, he is.
07:47And you know what?
07:48We're going to have a pretty good idea.
07:50Listen, I think coaching matters in the NFL.
07:53We all understand this.
07:55You know, the NBA is all about how many stars can you put on a team.
07:58The NFL is about how good is the coaching staff here.
08:02And in Minnesota, they got a pretty good one as a head coach and a pretty good one as the DC as well.
08:09So if McCarthy is going to have success, you don't have to look very far than what he did to Sam
08:13Darnold a year ago there in Minnesota to think he's going to be okay.
08:19He might very well be that bear killer tonight.
08:22If we do take a look at the line, Joe, because the graphic that we're going to pop up does show two and a half.
08:26I'm going to explain to you the reason why it says that.
08:27It was basically one and a half all week long.
08:29Late last night, Joe, East Coast time, 1152.
08:32We had some steam hit that up to two and a half.
08:35Carries through all night.
08:36When we opened up the show today on the early line, Joe, 7 a.m. Eastern, it was still two and a half.
08:41Around 721 Eastern, you got that pushback from two and a half back down to one and a half.
08:46Any reasons why you think some steam hit last night and into tomorrow, excuse me, this morning on this game?
08:53Listen, could just be a head fake there, Donnie.
08:56Push the market up, see what kind of reaction you get.
08:59There's obviously competing sides here.
09:03You've got one group that thinks Minnesota is very alive here.
09:07You've got another one that thinks, yeah, no, I got a home dog in a divisional matchup that tends to be pretty profitable in week one over the years, Donnie, to back that home dog.
09:18So I don't know how much more it's going to move.
09:22But if you like those same game parlays, I might have one for you here as a best bet.
09:28Ah, yeah, because we're also looking at like Jalen Johnson's a very good cornerback here.
09:32He's questioned with a calf strain.
09:33That would really hurt.
09:34TJ Edwards, starting middle linebacker, starting linebacker, I should say, out with the hamstring injury.
09:39So some injuries impacting here Chicago's defense on that side.
09:42The total, though, Joe, opened up initially at 45 and a half.
09:45We're down to 43 and a half.
09:47Now, Tom Vecchio joined us a little bit earlier talking about this game.
09:50He thinks it might be a little bit slower of a start.
09:52You get that idea because Ben Johnson is known for his aggressiveness here.
09:56And if you are looking at J.J. McCarthy, I get it's his first start.
09:59But also Kevin O'Connell, a very aggressive offensive play caller.
10:02And you got some weapons on both sides here.
10:04Are we looking at it under?
10:05Do you believe in that line move to the lower part of it at 43 and a half?
10:10Absolutely.
10:10And listen, you both of these offenses, I had mentioned, you got four new starters on the
10:16offensive line for Minnesota.
10:18Darisaw is coming back off of the injury, but he is, he's the guy that's anchoring that
10:23offensive line.
10:24But they spent a lot of money in the offseason to build this offensive line, which is what
10:29you're supposed to do.
10:30But you know what?
10:31So did the Bears.
10:32The Bears didn't do anything on defense.
10:35Pretty much the same team is coming back that was there a year ago on that side of the ball.
10:40But they, too, made a lot of different adjustments on the offensive line here to help Caleb Williams.
10:45So there might be some growing pains.
10:48It's the first early stretches here of not just this game, but maybe the first couple
10:52of games of the season with both these offenses.
10:55Yeah, looking at the receiving props, too.
10:57Like Justin Jefferson banged up a little bit in the preseason, worried about that hamstring.
11:00He's full go tonight.
11:01He's 80 and a half.
11:02DJ Moore, wide receiver for the Chicago Bears, coming in at 57 and a half.
11:06Romo Doonze at 50 and a half.
11:08Hockinson and Loveland.
11:09I think Loveland's an interesting one because that's a guy that you drafted specifically for
11:13Ben Johnson to use.
11:15And I think he's going to have some decent routes in this game.
11:17The 28 and a half makes a lot of sense.
11:18Are you pinpointing, Joe?
11:19Let's even go to the running game.
11:21Rushing yards and or receiving yards.
11:23Any ideas of where you'd like to play or some players that you might think do some damage
11:26tonight?
11:28Yeah, well, I think, you know, Aaron Jones has got to be a big part of this for Minnesota,
11:32does he not?
11:33They got to be able to establish some sort of running game here.
11:38Otherwise, like Tom Becchio had mentioned last hour, you're not going to ask this kid to
11:44drop back 35, 40 times against that Chicago pass rush.
11:48So I do think that expect some, expect a running game and expect a pretty decent running game,
11:55I believe, as well for Minnesota.
11:58Yeah, you're looking at two because Aaron Jones, 49 and a half, which basically means
12:01get me to 50 yards.
12:02Jordan Mason, the backup there, 37 and a half.
12:04The expectations are, if you have two running backs here, one around 50, one around 40,
12:08that they're going to get a lot of handoffs tonight.
12:10DeAndre Swift for the Chicago Bears, 53 and a half.
12:12Caleb Williams and the quarterbacks here, interesting.
12:15Caleb's 23 and a half and JJ McCarthy is 17 and a half.
12:18I always loved early in the season, young quarterbacks.
12:20What do they tend to do?
12:21The play breaks down, they're running.
12:23They got fresh legs.
12:24They don't know, hey, save it for week 16.
12:26They don't know that week number one.
12:28That's all they're looking for at this point.
12:29So I do think there are interesting options on that end of it.
12:32But if we are looking, Joe, I asked Tom Vecchio the same question.
12:35The touchdown market tonight, everybody is plus money numbers.
12:39Are you leaning more on the running game to score touchdowns or players in the passing
12:43game to score touchdowns tonight?
12:46I think maybe the players in the passing game here.
12:51And I think there could be an interesting tight end in this one that might actually get
12:57into the end zone there with TJ Hawkinson.
13:01So why not in the red zone?
13:04Let these two quarterbacks get aired out a little bit.
13:07I don't think it's going to be the big play.
13:09I think it's going to be, you know, the misdirection kind of situation there where they're going
13:14to fake the run and there could be some wide open guys in the end zone here.
13:19Yeah.
13:19Some fun bets that you can make here.
13:21DJ Moore and Justin Jett.
13:23Now see, you know what?
13:24I like this stuff because I like looking at some of these fun prop bets.
13:27DJ Moore should be the top wide receiver of the Chicago Bears.
13:30Justin Jefferson, obviously the top wide receiver for the Minnesota Vikings.
13:34There's a prop bet out here at 11 to one for them to have five plus receiving yards in
13:39each quarter.
13:40That's not a tall tan.
13:41Like that has to happen.
13:42If I feel like Joe, if you can get through the first quarter in this one, I think you
13:46get this one.
13:47And I do.
13:48Yeah.
13:49That is not a bad look.
13:51And the question is how much duress is McCarthy going to be under in order to begin again?
13:55Don't forget.
13:56No Jordan Addison.
13:57Right.
13:57So Thielen is there.
13:59But don't forget the Bears surrendered the fifth most yards to tight ends last season
14:04here.
14:05So if Jefferson ain't there, get a little dink and dunk here with Hawkinson as well.
14:11Dink and dunk and moving up and down the field.
14:13Getting these young quarterbacks in rhythm, Joe.
14:15Always interesting to watch the start of it.
14:17But again, a big Monday night football game in Chicago that now currently has the Minnesota
14:21Vikings as the favorites at a minus one and a half spread here.
14:25Money line, if you want the Vikings, minus 124.
14:27And the total listed at 43 and a half.
14:30Awesome stuff in the NFL.
14:33NFL news and notes right here on a Monday edition of the early line.
14:36Absolutely.
14:37It's not on your right side.
14:38It's Joe Ranieri.
14:38It's what we do, man.
14:39We get you guys ready for this week.
14:40We get you guys ready for the Monday night game.
14:42But also take a look back at what actually happened and what should be happening in the
14:45future.
14:46I'll tell you one thing.
14:47Xavier Worthy not going to be playing football anytime soon.
14:50Now, football players are tough.
14:52We get that.
14:52Shoulder injuries on a smaller wide receiver that takes one more shot and could make things
14:56worse.
14:56That's never going to help.
14:57Pain tolerance.
14:58Always one of the things that you want to take a look at.
15:01But Xavier Worthy will return.
15:02It looks like he's going to have to wear a harness.
15:03But we just don't know the exact timeline, Joe.
15:06My expectations are he's probably not playing this week.
15:08And the Chiefs really can't afford that.
15:100-1 on the season.
15:11Playing the Philadelphia Eagles.
15:12You drop the 0-2 and still say that, let's just say, Worthy isn't available for another
15:16week at least.
15:17You know Rice isn't coming back.
15:19This is a tough time.
15:20For the Chiefs, skilled position players.
15:23Yeah, no, it is.
15:25I mean, they were thin.
15:26We knew it heading into that game in Brazil here.
15:29But yeah, that's not great.
15:32And it happened so early on.
15:34And it was clearly, you know, somebody was running the wrong route there.
15:38Because Kelsey didn't see him coming.
15:41He didn't see Kelsey coming.
15:43And Kelsey's a little bit bigger than Worthy.
15:45And next thing you know, you know, you pop the guy's shoulder out.
15:49And that's worse than hitting a line.
15:50In fact, if that was a defender, that would have been a flag.
15:54But I don't think you can flag Kelsey for taking out his own player.
15:57Can you, Donnie?
15:58I mean, that's how big a hit it was.
16:00Find him.
16:01Absolutely find the guy at this point.
16:02George Kittle won't see him anytime soon here.
16:04I know a lot about injuries.
16:06My senior year, Joe, I played every single football game of my college career except one.
16:10I tore my hamstring on a deep route against Fairleigh Dickinson.
16:13Had to miss the next week.
16:14But came back after that because there was no red shirts.
16:17And I was graduating.
16:18So I was like, hey, let me take this last two games off.
16:20Like, no, I actually played through a torn hamstring.
16:22That's the way you get down.
16:23But the NFL, they're not letting anybody play through torn hamstrings here.
16:26Kittle couldn't finish that game.
16:27You know exactly when you hurt that hamstring.
16:29That's a multi-week injury and a devastating blow to one of the better tight ends in football.
16:34Yeah, no.
16:35And he started off well.
16:37I mean, he scored the first touchdown.
16:39And then it was like, well, where is he?
16:42And then, yeah, no.
16:43Never good there with the situation where you lose another big part of the offense there in Kittle.
16:51The safety valve for Purdy.
16:53So the injuries, once again, I mean, continue to mount here.
16:57Fred Warner, Trent Williams, now Kittle.
17:00They still don't have.
17:02Thank goodness they got Juwan Jennings back.
17:04Although he left in the fourth quarter with a shoulder injury.
17:07So, you know, not good here for the 49ers.
17:11I'll tell you, this isn't good.
17:13The New York Giants themselves.
17:15I love beating them like a pinata because of how poorly that they are run.
17:19When you come into the season, you have a game plan for what the anticipation is going to be.
17:23You made Russell Wilson the starter, not because you wanted to play one week, regardless of performance.
17:28It was Jackson Dart's going to be our future quarterback here.
17:30If I don't think he's ready for week number one, we're not going to have a good season anyway.
17:34Let me slow play this and take all the pressure off Dorf so when he's ready to play football, he's not rushed into there.
17:39So what does brain-dead Brian Dable, that's his new name for me right now, do?
17:44After the post-game press conference, it's a simple answer to a question.
17:47Hey, what do you think about Russell Wilson?
17:48He's our starter, he's going to start in week number two.
17:50Even if you don't want to believe it at this time, it shows leadership.
17:54The fact that you just had a football game, got beat 21 to 6, they asked you a question on your quarterback.
17:58When your guy that you wanted to be starting for the entire season, it's now up in the air after one football game?
18:05Joe, make some sense to me about what Brian Dable, this organization, is actually doing and then saying at the same time.
18:11It's baffling to me.
18:12Well, you know, listen, I mean, this is, this was all suspect.
18:17They had such a good preseason.
18:20Starters played, you know, they were, there was actually a pretty good vibe here in this Giants locker room.
18:25But that, a lot of that had to do with Jackson Dart playing as well as he did.
18:31But at no point did Dable ever differ on his opinion that Russell's our starter and that's going to be that.
18:39Well, yeah, I don't know.
18:41When you have seven plays from the three-yard line on two separate possessions and the only thing you get is three points,
18:48yeah, I am not sure how long we're going to see Russ behind this offensive line, which isn't great.
18:56But at the same time, Donnie, you know, how many more losses like this are the Giants going to allow before they're like,
19:04yeah, it's dark time, let's go?
19:06Yeah, they're bozo owners.
19:08As long as you win a game late in December, they'll ruin your draft position.
19:10He'll cheer wildly and away you go into the sunset at this point.
19:13So, they are so poorly run from an ownership, general manager, and head coaching standpoint.
19:18There's no way but up is what you usually say.
19:20But yet they say and do the dumbest things absolutely possible.
19:23Good luck this year on the Giants fans.
19:24Look, cheer on losses, cheer on the firing of that regime.
19:27But anybody else in the NFC, just win four games this year, Giants, because you know what?
19:32That brain-dead owner you have with a brain-dead head coach, we'll both be back next year and we'll love life here as NFC East fans.
19:38How about this?
19:38Derrick Henry should have been in a victory, passes Jim Brown on the touchdowns list here.
19:43I don't know.
19:45I watched Henry run for three quarters in that game.
19:47I was like, you can't stop this guy.
19:48And they lost the game.
19:49I'm still lost for words in that game, Joe.
19:51Yeah, well, when you're making history, scoring 40 or more points, and you're up, you know, at least 15 or more points heading into the fourth quarter,
20:02772-0 is the record of those teams that did that until after last night, 772-1 now,
20:11because the Ravens look completely lost in the final nine minutes of that game.
20:16By the way, Stafford passes 60,000 passing yards.
20:20He's 17, 18 years into the league, and they had a graphic yesterday on the screen, Joe.
20:24It's like, second fastest to do this.
20:26I was like, well, who's the first fastest?
20:27The first guy to actually get the 60,000 was an odd statistic, but this guy continues to say, you know what?
20:33Father time, stay over there on that sideline.
20:36Picked up a victory.
20:37Wasn't all that impressive on the offensive side, but still a victory.
20:40Still 60,000 passing yards in the career here for Matthew Stafford.
20:44How about that?
20:44Oh, man.
20:45Well, you know where he was impressive?
20:47A, he took a few hits and had no problem getting up.
20:51So the idea that, oh, that back is so, no, he's been dealing with a bad back for five years,
20:57and he took a few shots yesterday, got up, no problem.
21:02But you know where he was impressive, Donnie, is when they needed a score in the fourth quarter,
21:06and then they needed a first down in order to put the game away, and guess what?
21:11He delivered.
21:12That is why he is one of the best to play the game.
21:16Ah, Lamar Jackson, we're looking at you.
21:17By the way, any knee concerns for Bowers here?
21:19One of the better tight ends in football came up a little bit lame there against the New England Patriots.
21:23Any thoughts on that, Joe?
21:25Yeah, well, I don't know what Vrabel is doing with Drake May and his offense,
21:29but my goodness, looked like he was waving the white flag way before that game was over yesterday.
21:35Ah, Drake May and the boys struggling.
21:37One of those teams that you couldn't quite get a grip on where it's going to be a really good season
21:40or just a ho-hum season, Vrabel, I think, is going to be able to turn that around.
21:44We'll see if that happens, but not a good look to lose opening day to the Raiders in your own building.
21:49Let's close this show down with style next, right here.
21:52Early line in this segment, we do reach out to the public.
21:55We ask those questions, Joe Ranieri, that the public needs to know,
21:58and also, the fact of the matter, are we going to fade the public?
22:10People in the responses, Joe, not happy with this poll.
22:12Why?
22:12Because they wanted a neither option.
22:14They said, well, Donnie, what was the actual question?
22:16Well, you would know if you follow us at SportsGrid on X.
22:18Who will go over their passing prop tonight in Vikings versus Bears?
22:23Williams, 218.5.
22:24McCarthy, 220.5.
22:25Or both?
22:2666% are backing Caleb Williams.
22:2925% are backing J.J. McCarthy.
22:329.2% are backing both.
22:34And Brian Hager and TB0123456789 said the correct option should basically
22:41neither of these quarterbacks going over, Joe.
22:44If you had a vote in this, which you do, where did you go?
22:46Well, the guy with 27 numbers in his handle there, I think, has a point, Donnie.
22:53That's pretty good.
22:53That's pretty good.
22:54Yeah, there should absolutely be a neither, because that's exactly where I think
23:01this game is heading.
23:03We've already seen the total drop from the open, right?
23:07You've got two quarterbacks, new offenses, two pretty good offensive-minded head
23:12coaches, really good offensive-minded head coaches, but two stacked defenses.
23:16I don't know that we're going to get a ton of throwing the ball all over the yard.
23:21If I had to guess, I think Williams is probably the guy that's got the better shot
23:26of going over his passing props.
23:28Yeah, we'll see if we do tonight, because, again, this is week number one
23:31and week number two in the NFL.
23:32Your mind's going to play tricks on you here.
23:34Like, I would love to see a higher-scoring game, but the oddsmakers are calling for that, Joe.
23:37Low 40s as a total.
23:39Two quarterbacks without a ton of experience, particularly there, obviously, with J.J. McCarthy.
23:43But I think you might get some surprises tonight.
23:45We certainly should have some fun with that as we go.
23:47But also, Joe, I'd like to end these shows to give the people what they want,
23:52bets that they can win on.
23:53It's time for Bye Bye Bye.
24:01I know Joe's got the NFL handled tonight, Joe.
24:03Where are we going in the NFL tonight?
24:05One game, one winner.
24:06Give it to us.
24:07All right, well, I'm going to give the viewing audience options here tonight, all right?
24:13A couple of different ways you can approach this.
24:15But for those of you that have an available same-game teaser, I would look tonight at getting
24:21the Bears up and over.
24:23The key number is seven.
24:24Currently, it's sitting at one and a half.
24:26A six-point teaser is going to give me the Bears over a touchdown.
24:29And I'm sorry, I don't think we're getting a ton of offense in this game.
24:33The total at 43 and a half would lead me to go, yeah, let's tease it up to 49 and a half
24:40and look to the under in that one.
24:43You can get it.
24:44Don't pay more than 120 on teasers.
24:46If you are, please don't.
24:48Yeah, but you can.
24:50This is widely available here.
24:53But give me the Bears over a touchdown and give me the under 49 and a half in that six-point
24:57teaser.
24:58Or just take Chicago as a teaser now and pair it up with a game in week two like the Cardinals
25:05at home, who are currently a six-and-a-half-point favorite.
25:09Get them down to a pick-em, and all they have to do is beat the Panthers.
