Trump Soaks Up Praise from World's Biggest Tech CEOs at White House Dinner

At a White House dinner on the evening of Thursday, Sept. 4, the president hosted a group of top executives from American tech companies — all of whom showered him with words of admiration and gratitude. The gathering of the "high IQ group," as Trump dubbed them, seemed to be about bolstering tech innovation within the United States.

00:05Well, thank you very much, everybody.

00:06It's an honor to be here with this group of people.

00:08They're leading a revolution in business and in genius.

00:12And in every other word, I think you can imagine,

00:15there's never been anything like it.

00:17It's a great honor to work here at the White House

00:19and to work for you.

00:21And thank you so much, obviously, for bringing us all together

00:24and the policies that you have put in place

00:27for the United States to lead.

00:29Thank you for incredible leadership,

00:32including getting this group together.

00:34It's incredible to be among everyone here,

00:37particularly you and the First Lady.

00:39Thank you for being such a pro-business, pro-innovation president.

00:42It's a very refreshing change.

00:44All the work you're doing in basically every Cabinet post

00:49in addition to what's coming out of the White House

00:53is making it possible for America to win.

00:57Well, thanks for hosting us.

00:58I mean, this is quite a group to get together.

01:00And, you know, I think, you know, all of the companies here

01:03are building, just making huge investments in the country.

01:07We're leading the world.

01:08We're leading China, but we're leading the world by a lot.

01:11And we're leading it because of the people around the table.

01:14And all I can do is implement and make it a lot easier for you.

01:17And I'll be doing that 100 percent.

01:20So I just want to thank you all.
