Tech leaders heap praises on Trump administration during White House dinner

US President Donald Trump on Sept 4 hosted a high-profile dinner with more than two dozen technology executives in the White House where industry leaders lauded his administration’s stance on artificial intelligence, speeding up business processes and bringing American innovation back to the country. 00:00really and a really amazing job you've done some little different ideas i guarantee a lot of the

00:10people at this table like rfkj and i do uh but he's uh he's got a different take and i thought

00:17you'd say a few words so we could take a couple of questions later maybe mark would you like to

00:21say a few words about the company sure well i mean i mean it's uh sorry should i turn this on

00:27yeah all right um well thanks for for hosting us and this is quite a group to get together and you

00:33know i think um you know all of the companies here are building just making huge investments in in the

00:39country in order to build out data centers and infrastructure to power the next wave of

00:45innovation so it's um you know we don't often get together as as uh the the ceos of the different

00:50companies but it's it's uh good to see everyone how much are you spending uh would you say over

00:56the next few years oh gosh um i mean i think it's probably going to be something like

01:01i don't know at least 600 billion dollars through 28 in the u.s yeah it's a lot no it's uh it's

01:11significant that's a lot thank you mark it's great to have you thank you great to have you

01:16and sergey you were saying a lot in the oval office i figured you're somebody that

01:20likes to speak with his uh really wonderful maga girlfriend uh i think it's a real incredible

01:27inflection point right now in ai and the fact that your administration uh is uh supporting

01:34our companies instead of fighting with them so i appreciate that you know your administration

01:39had a constructive dialogue and we were able to get it to some somewhat resolution i would echo what

01:45sergey said uh i think it's the ai moment is one of the most transformative moments any of us have

01:51ever seen or will see in our lifetimes so making sure the u.s is at the forefront and i think your

01:57administration is investing a lot already the ai action plan under your leadership i think is a great

02:02start and we look forward to working together and thanks for your leadership great job you're doing

02:06incredible really job well mr president it's such an honor to be here and the incredible work that

02:12your administration has done to support the semiconductor industry you know we're building

02:16the brains behind all of the wonderful ai that's being built here and i think the amount of

02:22acceleration that we've seen just in the few short months that uh the administration has been in place

02:28is really we're so grateful for that support and we had a wonderful event uh this afternoon with the

02:33first lady's support of the ai education plan so i think the main message is we are all in to make

02:39sure that america wins the ai race and it's an honor to be here i think that everything that you're

02:45doing in terms of setting in place the platform where the rest of the world can not only use our

02:51technology but trust our technology more than any other alternative is perhaps the most important

02:55issue and you and you and your policies are really helping a lot so thank you very much bill would you

03:01like to say a few words thank you for incredible leadership uh including getting this group together

03:07thank you bill that's very nice i want to thank you for including me this evening it's incredible to

03:13be among uh everyone here particularly you and the first lady uh i've always enjoyed having dinner and

03:20interacting uh i want to thank you for setting the tone such that we could make a major investment in

03:28the united states and have some key manufacturing advanced manufacturing here i think that says a lot

03:37about your focus and your leadership and your focus on innovation i also want to thank you

03:43for helping american companies around the world first of all to echo the comments uh of tim and others

03:50thank you so much for getting us all together and thank you for being such a pro-business pro-innovation

03:55president it's a very refreshing change we're very excited to see what you're doing to make all of

04:00our companies and our entire country so successful the investment that's happening here

04:04uh the ability to get the the power in the industry back in the united states i think this will set us

04:08up for you know a long period of great success uh leading the world and i don't think that would be

04:13happening now without your leadership this is a most incredible time ai is going to change everything

04:20you hear all of us saying that but the fact that you are our president and you recognize this

04:26right away and you've unleashed american innovation and creativity
