We’re asking people around Cardiff if they do DIY in the house, or whether they just think it’s easier and safer to get someone who knows what they’re doing.
00:00I don't need some money, I'll go and put that to somebody else to do, and vice versa, but when it comes to stuff around my home, most certainly hanging shelves, blinds, that kind of thing. My grandad always inspired me, you know, he could do everything. There was no chance that he'd let you pay somebody else to come and, no, no, no, I'll be around you else in a half an hour.
00:16I just have the phone, and they come out and fix everything, so, yeah, I'm not really a big DIY, I've never really, I mean, I'll get it wrong, I can put a cover together, I can put wardrobe together, I can hang pictures, but major stuff, I don't need to do, I never have, I think that's just a convenience, now it's easier to get someone who knows what they're doing and get them through it.
00:40Actually, as much as I can, I try to do it by myself, but it depends, like if it's something very difficult, or I don't have time, or something like, it's important, and I am afraid if I do it, I will make it wrong or mistake, I will ask for helping.
