Do you need your ‘proper’ brands?

We’re asking people in Cardiff whether own brands do the job, or whether there are some things where they cannot be without the ‘proper’ brands.

00:14I get a bit from Iceland, a bit from here, a bit from there, a bit from the fruit and vegetables.

00:20The cheaper brands are just as good as the more expensive stuff.

00:23To be honest, they don't have as much sugar in all the additives as well either,

00:27so sometimes going for that cheaper option is actually more healthier.

00:31Cereal is about the only brand I'll make sure I buy, or washing powder.

00:37The rest of it doesn't matter, as long as it tastes good.

00:41It's funny you say this, actually. A friend and I went into Aldi's yesterday.

00:45We wanted to get some fingers, but I've ended up tasting the Aldi fingers

00:50compared to the proper ones, and it doesn't taste the same.

00:57then of course you're going to go for the brand that you're used to.
