00:00HHS, obviously you posted on X about you. I was wondering what your reaction was to that. Were you at all surprised to see them specifically calling your resolution?
00:08Well, they said it tells everything we need to know. The resolution I introduced as well as the report, and they're absolutely right about that.
00:14We have 203 examples of the absolutely dangerous leadership of Secretary Kennedy. 203 different instances, everything from firing scientists.
00:25He lied to our faces when he told us he would not fire working scientists. We have to be reminded this man is wholly unqualified for the job that he's doing.
00:34He has no background in science, no background in medicine, yet he has fired working scientists, researchers.
00:40He's done tremendous damage to HHS and many of the agencies.
00:45He's also exposed these conspiracy theories that make us less safe around measles and vaccinations that now we're seeing the evidence of it in places like Florida,
00:54where they are now considering doing away with mandates regarding vaccinations for children.
00:59We're talking about hepatitis, measles, talking about these vaccines that have kept our children safe for many, many years.
01:06So he's absolutely right. I was delighted to see HHS say that the 203 different instances that I have now highlighted in this report
01:14tell us everything we need to know. It is that he is unqualified. He needs to be fired or removed from office immediately.
01:22It was a very detailed report when I was going through it. I mean, day by day by day.

01:26So just at this point, is the strategy going to be messaging, getting the information out about what he's doing,
01:33make sure people are aware, because there's not as much recourse that you guys can really force onto the floor.
01:38You have your resolution. Dune would have to bring it up for a vote.
01:41Yeah. Well, you know what? You said the magic words. You know what? Everyone now knows.
01:44The whole world should now know. I called for his resignation or firing four months ago, and it's gotten worse each day.
01:53My colleagues have now today, many of them have expressed reservations about Secretary Kennedy, and they have over time.
02:00It's now time for action. It is, this is a deeply, deeply troubling time we're in when we watch the public health system of our country
02:09being systematically dismantled. I need my colleagues to more than express reservations about it. I need them to do something about it.
02:16I mean, we have doctors who work among us, and they have the information, knowledge, and experience
02:21to know how truly damaging and dangerous his claims are. He told us today that he didn't know how many people died of COVID.
02:27This is the person leading healthcare in our country who doesn't bother to educate himself about it, who complimented warp speed
02:36and recognized that the COVID vaccination saved many, many lives. And this is the same one that he is now making inaccessible
02:42for seniors, vulnerable people who now can't go find this vaccination. We're seeing places like CBS and others,
02:49because of what he has done, really pull back access to COVID vaccinations at a time where we're seeing an increase.
02:56And this is a season where many who are vulnerable need those vaccinations. So I need my colleagues to more than talk about
03:04how concerning it is and to highlight the inaccuracies and the flat-out lies that he's told and do something about it.
03:11Is it frustrating at all to see these colleagues who ended up voting for him but had expressed reservations before
03:16come out and say they're concerned now that he's already been confirmed?
03:19Well, I'm glad that they're seeing their concern. I just need them to go a little further and do something about it.
