00:01On Fulham, do you think it's possible that a club would string Leeds along
00:05knowing that maybe they haven't had the best summer,
00:07perhaps they're one of the established elite who might be under threat
00:11and think, you know, we've done this with my knees.
00:14They haven't really moved on, although we have got Dominic Cowart-Lewin,
00:17but I think there's far more risk with that signing.
00:21Do you think that they were never going to sell Wilson,
00:23but they knew that maybe they could string Leeds along
00:25and leave Leeds in the lurch?
00:26Or is that me overthinking it?
00:29I think you're overthinking it.
00:30And the reason why, I certainly don't think they were rushing themselves
00:35for Leeds' benefit because they're thinking, well, actually, Leeds,
00:38you are so far down our to-do list today that you can wait
00:42until we've done what we need to do.
00:45I know from sources close to the Wales camp that it was known
00:51amongst Leeds players involved in that camp that Leeds were trying
00:57to get Wilson in, and there was a little bit of excitement about that,
01:00as there would be.
01:01You know, if one of your international teammates is about to join you
01:03and beef up your Welsh contingent at Leeds,
01:07then you would be excited by that.
01:10If Wilson was content to sign the deal sheet and to give the move a chance,
01:15and if he'd been told over the weekend that, you know,
01:18you can probably get a move before the end of the window,
01:21then you've got to think he's keen to get out there and play more games
01:25because his game time is now under threat by the new signings there.
01:28I don't think Fulham, yes, they've maybe mucked their player around
01:32a little bit, but I certainly don't think they would tell their player,
01:35you could get a move, we'll talk to Leeds,
01:37we'll see if we can get to a number that makes it work,
01:40but have no intention from the get-go of letting him go.
01:43I think a club only has as much intention to let a player go
01:47as they need to have, really, until the move can be done
01:51because you might have to pull the rug on something
01:55because you might not get your winger in.
01:56It's just not clear in this instance why Fulham pulled the plug.
01:59But at the end of the day, I don't think we can blame Fulham
02:02for anything that's happened to Leeds United.
02:04It was Leeds United who went into the transfer deadline day
02:07needing still to do business, which they've admitted
02:09is not what they wanted to do,
02:11which is why they did so much of the business early
02:13because they want to avoid a day when panic sets in
02:17and you become victim to circumstance.
02:21You know, there's a fierce storm blowing
02:23and you basically put yourself in the middle of it
02:25when you need to get a signing done.
02:27And Leeds have been here before.
02:28You know, the previous regime found themselves
02:29in this situation and somehow, you know,
02:33went under the stormy seas and came out clutching
02:35Willy Nyonto, which wasn't really what they needed at the time,
02:39but turned out to be, you know, pretty good.
02:41So today, we'd like to see you next time.
02:43I'm out of the way.
02:45We will go.
02:46We will go.
02:47We will go.
02:48We will go.
02:49We will go.
02:55We will go.
