00:00from the moment you start saving it feels good for over 100 years Ireland state savings has
00:23helped people of all ages to save with as little as they like for as long as they want
00:28Ireland state savings it's a good feeling with football there's a lot to consider the Premier
00:43League on TNT sports proudly sponsored by Boyle sports good morning it is all eyes on West London
00:57as Fulham make the short two-mile journey from Craven Cottage over to Stamford Bridge to take
01:04on Chelsea but these two sides have had very different transfer windows but have both made
01:10unbeaten starts to the new season and are hoping they can maintain that record today and head into
01:17the international break on a high and what a treat it to have back-to-back weeks with these two is Karen
01:26Kearney and our very own luxury player it is Joe Cole being a Chelsea legend doesn't stop you getting
01:33soaked by the sprinklers I know yeah yeah don't I don't know why they're watering this side of the
01:38pitch but um yeah I'd land you a hairdryer but you don't need one that's cheap and early in the show
01:45for that kind of drive I went early both teams unchanged from their last Premier League game
01:50today as well a great derby ahead here Karen for Chelsea another London derby yeah do you feel that
01:57they made a big statement last weekend brilliant result wasn't it um I do have to say sorry Joe and
02:02I know you're both Chelsea and West Ham but West Ham were really really poor but credit to Chelsea
02:07really energetic three goals from set pieces as well which impressed me um but yeah top performance
02:12and and Fulham last season got got more points Joe against teams in the top half than they did in
02:18the bottom half do you think they can make things really difficult today really unusual I think I
02:23think we've talked Kaz I mean but Silva we think is a top manager yeah you know and I think the club
02:28have really they stay stagnant this summer you know and it's one of them he'd be so frustrated
02:33because like you said on their day they're capable of beating anyone they really are the quality of the
02:38players you look at your Wobies at Anderson's Castagne Cessegnore players who've played in the
02:43Premier League a long time they understand it they're a good side but you want to kick on if
02:48you're a Fulham fan you'll be frustrated well as ever Chelsea been very busy in the transfer window as
02:53well a couple of outgoings today as well Nicholas Jackson looks like he's heading to Bayern Munich
02:59on loan and also Christopher and Cuckoo as well confirmed as an AC Milan player as well one
03:05getting close not quite official just yet though Alejandro Garnaccio it looks like 40 million pounds
03:11is being agreed between the two clubs Karen yeah do you think that's a fair price a good deal for
03:16Chelsea well I think ultimately he wasn't happy at Manchester United and probably for Man United he
03:22helped being an academy player and then their financial fair play situation um he's an exciting talent
03:28is 21 uh Premier League experience which we've seen and I think I witnessed him I think it was
03:33against Fulham where he scored that goal of the season for me when it was this one there no was it
03:37was Everton apologies um unbelievable technique it was but I think you see Nkunku go out he's 27
03:43Garnaccio coming in at a good price 21 Chelsea are just really driving down the average age of the squad
03:49because they want to work with a manager among a group of players for a long period of time and give him
03:54a seven-year deal so yeah I mean look I think it's a good one for Chelsea and he's going to be happy to
03:59be here too a good one for Chelsea as Karen said an exciting player at his best Joey can really get
04:05fans off their seat yeah at his best is the crucial thing because he's he's going to be competing with
04:10Gittins you'd imagine for that left-handed role you know coming in on his right foot he has moments
04:14where he looks sensational he looks outstanding you know we've seen that Manchester United probably isn't a
04:20great environment for a young player at the moment we've seen players leave Manchester United like
04:24McTominay going and thrive so I think there's levels to go up for Garnaccio I think it's a good
04:30price what Chelsea got if he's a good deal I think the question mark will be on the lad now it's not
04:35that I don't know the lad but you know the ins and outs and the things that come out from his camp and
04:40and how his hand was being dropped at Manchester United things like that I think that needs to improve
04:44from him if he wants to knuckle down and become the top player that he can become he needs to come
04:48to a good environment with good players which I think Chelsea is and develop from there but he
04:53has some competition there's lots of players from fighting for them wide positions as you can see
04:58just heading out of the tunnel here at Stamford Bridge Trevor Chaliver coming out for a quick
05:03quick chat with us good good to see you Trevor thanks for coming out to talk to us you got yourself
05:09on the score sheet last weekend in an impressive result against West Ham how do you sum up the start
05:16of the season for you individually and as a team yeah I think it was uh obviously coming off the
05:21first game we were disappointed not to win that game you know and as you know the first game of
05:24the season just to get our feet going after the tournament that we had players getting back on
05:29their feet and yeah we were ready to get the three points and we showed that in the performance
05:32Trev can I ask you about the confidence after winning the World Club Cup the confidence in the team
05:37looked really high at the moment yeah definitely I think um obviously at the start we didn't
05:43obviously we we had a belief but we didn't know that we were that far but I think that's really
05:47then shaped the team into a winner mentality you know and obviously us winning a trophy also that
05:52gives this this this young players great experience and what it feels like to win a trophy you know
05:58yeah and that's what we're going to take into the season you speak about trophy there but
06:02yesterday champions league draw came out you got a smile to your face already are you excited you got
06:07buying away in the first game yeah definitely the boys are really excited as I said you want to play in the
06:12best competitions playing against the best teams and and yeah I think the boys are really excited
06:17and we can't wait to be in the champions league have they spoken about or the group spoken about
06:21playing you know Tuesday Wednesdays and the weekend because maybe last season you had two split squads
06:26in Europe have you spoken about that um not not much but we know it's going to be a hectic one this
06:31season so a lot of us are going to be needed I think the whole squad's going to be needed and this is
06:36the benefits of having a big squad you know and and being ready for each competition Trevor you've been on a real
06:41journey to going out on loan to coming back and becoming a key player how have you used that whole
06:47experience to really motivate and drive you I think as a as an athlete or as a footballer it's part of
06:52it you know you're going to have a lot of things that maybe don't go your way or things that don't
06:57happen but I can only control what I do on the pitch and what I do off the pitch it's just keeping
07:01myself ready keeping myself grounded and just doing the job really that's it thank you very much for
07:07joining us best of luck today thank you thank you very much Trevor Chalaba there it shows what his
07:14character's like the way he's come back integrated himself as a key player in this team unfortunately
07:20missed out though on the England squad this time around that was announced yesterday Thomas Tuchel's
07:25first of the season ahead of those games against Andorra and Serbia just four international camps between
07:32now and next year's world cup in the USA Canada and Mexico Rhys James is in there there are first
07:38international call-ups for Elliot Anderson and Jed Spence Adam Wharton's in Livramento and Jordan
07:44Henderson but there's no Trent Alexander-Arnold that was a big headline yesterday Karen and I know that
07:51really really surprised you I mean look he's got a battle playing at Real Madrid with Carvajal coming back
07:57so he's going to fight for that spot but me personally not having a Trent Alexander-Arnold in
08:02your England squad or a major tournament in the World Cup I know he might have struggled maybe last in
08:07the Euros but it doesn't it doesn't like when you're going to be playing in 35 degrees heat I don't think
08:12after a season that you're going to have you can high press I think the way that Thomas Tuchel wants
08:16you need good people in possession of the ball you need people that can open you up that's Trent Alexander-Arnold you
08:22know Liverpool have had to go and get Verts to fill that void and he's he's an attacking midfielder so
08:27it just feels a bit look there's plenty of time for him to get back into it and maybe it's a kind
08:31of a statement from Tuchel and but I just still think England will be better with him in the squad
08:36in the World Cup next summer and if everyone is fit and available would he be in your your best 11 for
08:44England's for me yeah I mean look we've always spoken about that yeah this is this is my thing I mean
08:48I love Wharton as a holding midfielder I love him as a six like I said I do think the conditions will
08:53be a factor in the World Cup I think we need someone like him in that six um I do think Trent coming in
08:59there like I said okay we've got to work still concentrating that defensive side of the game
09:03and I did put Spence in there we watched him last week I thought he was excellent um and in the top
09:08half of the pitch I know there's no Eze in there and Marcus Rashford going to Barcelona will he have the
09:13season that we all hope he will and that'd be great for England but that's kind of it's all you don't know
09:18right now Lindsay do you but you're asking me today and that's what I've gone with that that would be
09:21your best 11 as it stands if they're all available Thomas Tuchel though he he spoke about Trent sort
09:27of earlier in the summer joe and he was talking about how seriously he needs to take that defensive
09:32side of his game because he said in international football one defensive error can mean you're packing
09:36your suitcases I mean yeah Thomas Tuchel's you know when you brought Thomas in you knew what he was
09:42and what he how he saw his team you saw he set up his Chelsea team when he come in and won the
09:46Champions League he went back to a back there was a back five effectively a free win possession
09:51um and it was strong characters and it was very diligent and then I think all of these teams have
09:57had these characteristics now him leaving Trent out and saying that publicly I think that is a
10:03message to Trent about look we need you to be better in these areas if you're going to play for my England
10:11team now the fortunate thing with Trent is he's such an outstanding footballer you know and he's
10:17been trying to play we've tried to get him into the midfield to play because you you have to figure
10:21out a play to get him involved at least in your squad but I think at fullback I think Thomas Tuchel's
10:27primary thing and it's his prerogative he's the England manager is I want my fullback to be first and
10:32foremost a high elite level defender and I don't know whether he thinks Trent is that as a defender
10:39I'm not sure whether he does but leaving him out is probably an indicator that he probably puts other
10:45players ahead of him in the pecking order at the moment and he doesn't make your best 11 Joe as it
10:50stands you're one of the same forward players and midfielders Karen listen I got off listen
10:55like Karen said picking an England team now who are you playing against when is it what's the
11:02climate everything so it looks like that but actually what I would probably do is the gravity
11:07I put Livramento would be playing left back but he wouldn't be bombing and give me a width on the
11:13left Saka will hold the width on the right and then you'll have Palmer and Bellingham sort of coming
11:17in as two tens behind Harry Kane and then and then Wharton and Rice just look like a bit of defensive
11:23responsibility so you've got his physical Rhys James would then play like like the role he does
11:27for Chelsea now where he sort of plays it's like you can play fullback and he becomes in in possession
11:31as a third center of and starting the attacks from there I mean listen I could have played Trent in
11:37that team it wouldn't have it wouldn't it wouldn't affected it too differently but it's very very
11:40difficult to pick a team it's and then we all like doing it and it wouldn't even look like that in
11:44possession why do you both feel Wharton best compliments Rice and Bellingham in that midfield because I think
11:51what we've seen and look Arsenal have had to going by Zubomendi in there because Rice is an attacking
11:57midfielder you need someone that can get it off the back line and start distributing the ball and be
12:01calm and composed this is the guy you know I watched him in the FA Cup he's been absolutely superb in the
12:07Premier League he's uber calm he's composed and you need that and I talk about the conditions next
12:13summer you're gonna need someone that can just get it off the back four and just keep it simple move it
12:17it's gonna be hot the players are coming off a grueling season he's you need ball players and
12:22I think he's the guy that can do it um and I'm a huge fan of him do you think this is his time to
12:27really make make that place in in his in the team his own listen he need then there's boxes he needs
12:33to tick this year he needs to perform and carry on the trajectory he's going but the reason he gets
12:38into mine and Kaz's team if I'm the same reason as Kaz I think we need a little bit more stability if we're
12:43going to go for back four you need someone in there next to rice where if because you need to
12:47be able to free it's partly freeing rice up to be able to go on but also someone in there in a
12:52defensive position to support him because we've seen with Liverpool once you get that that balance
12:56goes you start conceding counter-attacks you can't do that in America against the top side you get
13:01carved open so you need another body in there and at the moment he's ahead just slightly ahead of all
13:04the others in that position well when we come back we're going to talk about Rodrigo Moniz who is
13:09leading the line for Fulham today and also I said it's not officially announced but look who's here
13:16in the house at the bridge Alejandro Garnacho here to watch this west London derby
13:21with that move to the blues absolutely imminent
13:25welcome to the emirates
13:39it's showtime the expectations high it's really important to turn last year's progress into silverware
13:46we've gone from relegation to to competing in europe we exploit other people's weaknesses
13:52a little parts was missing you need to get a job done i've seen this team hungry they are
13:57hungrier than ever let the football talk
14:05oh you know why you don't like pineapple there's a problem with you not liking pineapple pineapple
14:09is delicious but not on a pizza pizza is not a fruit salad whether it goes in pizza or not
14:15pineapples are one of hundreds of products price matched to aldi along with thousands of club card
14:19prices a pineapple is gorgeous on a pizza no way sweet i don't know where you get your nose

16:49well we're building up to chelsea against fulham the cottagers overall record against their west
16:56london neighbors is awful but last season they got their first win at the bridge since 1979
17:03rodrigo minis got the winner that day and recently he and steve sidwell met up to indulge in the
17:09brazilian strikers big off field passion
17:19well rigo good nice to see you my friend how are you see really good you i've got the best spot on
17:25the lake so we should catch some fish okay let's see should we get the rods out yeah let's go
17:29go so the passion for fishing tell me where where did it start since young i
17:40i went to to fish with my dad and i love to fish all the time all the time every weekend so there's
17:47a phrase that you said uh is it god okay god yeah football fish you love fishing that much that's
17:55where you put it yeah it's amazing these maggots you're meant to put in your mouth and your tongue
18:01it makes them wiggle you want to try no this is not me neither
18:09oh nice
18:15look at the size of this one good start good start one nil one nil
18:20the chelsea game let's stand for bridge i've got it here should we watch it
18:30do you want to watch yes low ball into the box
18:33and one woman came to missy rodrigo i was here uh 45 years ago and i'm here again thank you so much i
18:57love you and start to cry she's like yeah she's like that's what it's all about yeah yeah
19:05yeah oh nice
19:13we're getting bigger here we go two nil okay
19:19and what about obviously yourself there's been a bit of speculation you happy at fulham
19:23yeah very happy yeah the fans really love me and i love the fulham fans as well i'm ready to do
19:30my next steps to play more what do you need to do to to get your numbers higher i think i need to
19:39i need to play more how difficult is that for you i'm ready when i am in the bench to to play i'm ready
19:45if i start i'm ready and i hope this season can i can play more look at this own goal yeah to one
20:04today i've got two today you've got none but it's not about today it's about the chelsea yeah and you're
20:11going to score yeah and when i score i do this fish celebration this one promise yes
20:18very good thank you so much thank you appreciate it thank you
20:25ah steve looks so proud holding his little tiddler there
20:28are you quite handy with the rod uh at least you started
20:37what fishing are you talking about
20:42yeah i don't know how to answer that one he did carry on for the rest i do like i do like fishing
20:47i don't know what you were talking about he carried on fishing for the rest of the day actually
20:52rodrigo and munice and there he did he did catch a big fish by the end of the day hoping for a good
20:59catch today as well he's got lots of supporters in the stand karen can you see why he's such a fan
21:04favorite thanks for coming to me now um no you can look everyone loves him um yeah but here we go
21:12maybe we'll see some see a fan uh the flag of it of how much he means to hold it yeah god football
21:19fishing there as he said but um yeah big fan of him he's um really important for them surprised
21:24he was linked away uh in all fairness to him but he's 24 i guess he's just got to get consistent and
21:28make sure that jersey is the number nine but um let's hope jules found his his voice again before
21:35i ask him this question but george is it really important for him to kind of shed that super sub tag
21:41this season yeah i mean another start today he seems like a great lad don't he and he's he scored
21:46the goal and and i love the story where he said about he he met the woman who was here 45 years
21:51ago and and and and that that obviously resonated with him i think it's nice when footballers can
21:57understand it's it's it's really cool and it's important sometimes when you do something like
22:01that like it's a massive fulfillment to win here um he i hope you don't i don't see the fishing
22:05celebration first and foremost today but he's a good player he's a pro he's a center forward he backs
22:11in he's a nightmare to play with he does need to get his numbers up but i think he's one of them
22:15if you give him a chance consistently he will he will score goals yeah so effective when he gets
22:20that opportunity there was talk of a move away for him but it looks like a new contract is incoming
22:26when that window closes but karen what have you made of their lack of transfer activity because
22:31marco silvers called it passive and he looks so frustrated i think when you get the record points
22:37tally last season you're thinking right let's go and again and they're like two players away from
22:42european uh competition next season and you're like everyone else has moved everyone's been
22:47positive in the market and we've stayed stagnated as you mentioned joe and it's it's frustrating
22:51because i absolutely love him i think he develops young players coming in senior players who maybe have
22:56not developed elsewhere he gets the song and dance out of them but i do think you know it's still open
23:01till till monday i do think they are linked i do think we'll see people in and going back to munez i think
23:07um his numbers aren't where they are because i just don't think he gets the service and they're linked
23:11with attacking players wide players and i know they have a wobi and and players like that but it's
23:16just a consistency so i think they get that four players in the final third i think he'll be pleased
23:21silver joe is it a dangerous game that they're playing do you think when marco silvers got just one
23:28year left on his deal to leave him that frustrated when he's so highly thought of yeah i mean it's not just a
23:35dangerous game it's a stupid game to be playing if you've got a manager of that quality that's
23:40proven in the league and he knows how to work with these players and he's punching above his weight
23:45and then you don't go and it reminds me lins of the season before we got relegated at west
23:49down we finished seventh and it was a fantastic position for the club and you're thinking right
23:54where do we go where do we go and the club sort of brought in a couple of free transfers didn't
23:58you know didn't re-sign anyone and it does you can't stay stagnant in the premier league you have
24:04to keep moving and that man in your picture there will be very very frustrated it'll it'll keep the
24:09front front of shop face on when he's talking but i would imagine when he's going up to speak to the
24:13board and people like each it'd be it'd be it'd be making a few demands because they need reinforcements
24:18if they're going to kick on again for them yeah just to back it back up keeper lakonde in so far so
24:23a big couple of days ahead for them well we're going to take a quick break but the last time
24:28that these two sides met in april ended up being hugely significant for chelsea amid fan uncertainty
24:34and enzo mareska style late goals from tyreek george and pedro netto saw the blues earn a comeback win
24:41and spark a run of form which has seen them win 15 of their last 18 matches and lift two trophies
24:58so
25:00hey duck you're gonna get kicked in the teeth you scared
25:08oh my god
25:11stop stop stop stop
25:17jake
25:19that abandoned ship my god

27:26with football there's a lot to consider the premier league on tnt sports proudly sponsored by boil sports
27:42chelsea supporters full of hope and expectation they've bolstered their ranks with some very
27:56exciting forwards additions
28:02we are happy with the squad we are no doubt but when the winner is open anything can happen
28:08this is a magical time a soundtrack of optimistic chatter the background to racing
28:15imaginations the start of the latest journey
28:19santos has fluffed his lines that was the chance
28:23the world champions
28:39the world champions and their refreshed attack will be looking to back up last week's win over west ham
28:45today they've got a new challenge to face this campaign as chelsea of course return to the champions
28:50league and their eight matches in the league phase include ties against barcelona and napoli
28:55and look at that first up by munich at the allianza arena that is exclusively live on tnt sports for
29:03now though it is all focused on fulham and earlier on enzo mareska spoke to becky ives
29:10and so here we go west london derby what does this game represent to you and your team
29:14big game big game as you said this derby and we know how difficult it is from the last game at home
29:22against them so hopefully we are ready you've gone with the same personnel wise but tactics wise what
29:28have you changed to face fulham i think they also repeat the same eleven against man united in this
29:34moment you know having one game a week sometimes we can repeat the same eleven it's not something that
29:39we used to do probably last year we we did a few times and then after the international break we're
29:45going to start to play so many games today just same eleven something different but uh we see during
29:50the game do you sense there's a good cohesion the team are on a high coming into these games at the
29:55minute with everything that's happened before we try to you know game is a game for us we try to be
30:03focused about the game uh and today we know how difficult is uh we prepare in the best way and
30:11hopefully we can be just focused about the game yeah and the last one before international break
30:16importance to finish on a good note yeah absolutely finish with the good feeling in any case we're gonna
30:23also use the international break to review things to recovery energy and then as i said after the
30:28international game start again okay and so thank you very much well the chelsea players out for
30:33their warm-ups moises caseyda right behind us he was a doubt for today but he is starting which is
30:39good news for chelsea fans fourth last season joe what are the expectations for chelsea this season
30:45this is a team that understands what it means to win trophies uh two trophies in the last three
30:50months that will be massive for them young players they're walking they walk into stanford bridge and
30:55have a little bit more of a swagger in their step you know but that also puts a target on your back
30:59as well you know people have put more respect full and might come here and set up in a different way
31:05than they would have done last year so chelsea there'll be problems to solve i think the
31:08expectations for the club are an improvement i think liverpool have kicked on again i think
31:13arsenal kicked on again i think so what at the end of the season i think if you're in and amongst it
31:19and you're closer to the top and there's a cup runner i think the club will see that as another
31:23small step to getting back to the very summit but i still think there's an opportunity here
31:28if the goalkeeper performs like did at the world cup i think there's an opportunity that the club can
31:33can actually mount a challenge um i wouldn't have said that nine months ago karen but i think
31:39you've seen the development of the group but we'll see we will see that gap was 15 points last season
31:44is it enough karen just to cut that gap do you think or or do they need to be challenging now of
31:49course it needs to be challenging um but i think what the manager just said in his interview there
31:54was after the international break we're going to be going into a vast amount of games and i said it
31:58earlier about the champions league and they said it to trevor chalaba in our interview it's
32:02last season when they played in europe they picked two different teams one for europe and one for the
32:06premier league he won't be able to do that and for young players the robustness the experience the
32:12confidence of mixing all these competitions could that impact the premier league perhaps it will but
32:17they should be getting top four as absolute bare minimum and see where they go with that but um
32:22i also think a good cup run but i do think the challenge of the champions league might
32:26cause them an issue how do you think they're going to manage those two competitions
32:30simultaneously as karen says he can't he can't just make 11 changes every time like he did last
32:35season there's some monster games in there no no no i mean oh good touch see karen even when
32:40she's not looking she brings the ball down brilliant um he'll have to manage the squad this year
32:45last year i think it was an easy month you know you can say to the player i'm not playing you this
32:48i'm not playing you the weekend but you're playing thursday and be assured that you will play them
32:53thursday because it was noah at home or shamrock rovers without being disrespectful
32:58champions league you can't do that you can't tell a player you're playing him in in a week's time or 10
33:02days time because anything could happen in the result of performance so you players have to be a little
33:07bit more mature a little bit more professional you still have to use his squad and move it around but he won't
33:12have the luxury of being able to really give players games like he could last year and that's
33:16another challenge room it's been a busy window as we've already said lots of outgoings lots of
33:21incomings as well how do you feel karen about the balance of the squad now as it stands have they
33:27spent in the right areas i think so i mean we just see there's a lap i think you mentioned it earlier i
33:32think he's a really interesting signing for them that physical number nine because i actually think
33:36pedro is better in the 10 um and especially while cole is at the moment that's a big opportunity but
33:42i think it's pretty pretty balanced of course joe mentioned the goalkeeping situation we will see
33:46he was brilliant in the fifa club world cup center back are they mature enough are they old enough
33:52for the experience the top talented young players can they go to that next level so maybe that's where
33:56they have what they've invested in the youth for the future so you know might not come good this
34:00season maybe at center back pairings but certainly two three years it might does that center back
34:05area could concern you at all george just before you were having a chat with john terry on the touch
34:10line do you feel that they're really missing that sort of experienced head in that that position
34:16i do i i think levi colwell was absolutely outstanding at the back end of last season
34:22i think trevor chalove was done exceptional when he's coming back we talked to him earlier about
34:26you know be it coming out get leaving the club coming back to the club you know picking yourselves
34:31up that takes a lot of mental strength so them two tossing's coming and done very well i think
34:37the only problem is i think they may they need to perform in them areas whichever pair they pick
34:41from far has been injured they need to perform because if you look at what the other countries
34:46the other clubs sorry have got your liverpools yeah your canati's and and your van dykes and
34:52and manchester city with your diaz i think you need you need elite elite center and they can
34:58develop to that position the goalkeeper the center backs when you're talking about winning a title
35:02if i'm building the team if we you look back over the teams that have won the leagues over the years
35:08none of them any competition have won a league title without an elite level goalkeeper i don't think
35:13who's played consistency so that is the most crucial and sanchez can become that
35:18you know because his performances at the world club cup showed improvements but the spotlights
35:23on him when you're here because when you're at a big club and the expectations are there you have
35:27to keep your levels there all the time so that's going to be the area and i hope he does for him
35:31because he's a nice lad and i want him to do well but um the the goalkeeping area of the pitch is the
35:37most important position on the pitch where do you think they finish karen uh in the top four i'm not
35:43going to hang my hat in three games in but i think they will make the top four but i i think i
35:47still think the youth and the goalkeeping and the experience of the back line particularly
35:51center backs liverpool arsenal and city have the edge in terms of defense so i think they'll finish
35:57fourth i haven't gone there now i said it i think yeah i didn't mention saliva and gabrie yeah
36:02all the other clubs in the top four i think they're stronger in that area of the pitch and that's that
36:06ultimately talent attacking talent wins games defensive resolution wins titles so fourth for you as well
36:12third second yeah a little bit of an improvement right we're going to take it right when we come
36:19back we're going to talk about a couple of 18 year olds but teenage stars who have already been lighting
36:26up the premier league this season will esteval or josh king have an impact in today's west london derby

41:31Welcome back.
41:34We have snooker action starting soon on TNT Sports 2
41:38as the Wuhan Open final between Zhao Guidong and Gary Wilson
41:41concludes at 12.30.
41:43Guidong leads 5-4 in the best of nine-team match
41:46and you can stream that on Discovery Plus alongside the football.
41:50While in the house at Stamford Bridge,
41:53Alejandro Garnacho ahead of his impending move to the Blues.
41:58It looks like he's had a new cut and bleach ahead of the occasion today.
42:02Timothee Chalamet as well in the house.
42:05He got the golden ticket to be here today
42:08ahead of this West London derby between Chelsea and Fulham.
42:12John looks confused. He's Willy Wonka, Jor.
42:14Willy Wonka.
42:15This game kicking off in 20 minutes time.
42:18You've got four games underway at 3 o'clock today as well.
42:22Man United host Burnley hoping to respond
42:25after their humiliating night against Grimsby.
42:27Spurs hope to keep up their perfect start at home to Bournemouth.
42:31Newcastle leads in the late kick-off and tomorrow
42:34that's headlined by last season's top two going head-to-head.
42:37Liverpool welcome Arsenal.
42:41While the team headlines for Chelsea,
42:43they're unchanged from the West Ham game.
42:45So Moises Casado, who was a doubt, is fit to start.
42:49And with no Cole Palmer once again, it's Jao Pedro as the number 10 today.
42:54He'll be supporting Liam De Lappe.
42:56And 18-year-old EstevĂŁo makes his second Premier League start
43:00after starring in that win over the Hammers.
43:03Well, for the visitors, a big role for that man there in the midfield today.
43:09Sander Berger making his 100th Premier League appearance.
43:13Leading the line for the Whites, it's Rodrigo Meniz again.
43:17I'm sure hoping to replicate that winner at Stamford Bridge last season.
43:22And it's the third Premier League start for 18-year-old Josh King.
43:27Emile Smith-Rowe once again starting on the bench.
43:30We can hear from the Whites boss now.
43:32Marco Silva is with Becky Ives.
43:35Marco, a West London derby away.
43:37It was kind to you last time here.
43:39How are you feeling today?
43:41We're ready.
43:42We're ready for a very, very tough game.
43:45As always, between Chelsea and Fulham.
43:48And there's going to be another one.
43:49You came from a good performance last Sunday,
43:53middle of the week.
43:55Well done, the job from the boys.
43:57We changed eight players.
43:58And even so, we were able to get what we wanted from the game
44:02to play the next round of Carabao Cup.
44:04And you are ready for the game, of course, in terms of preparation.
44:07When you have a normal and a proper week to prepare,
44:10you have different...
44:12The time is completely different to be ready for it.
44:15It was not the case for us.
44:16It was Chelsea at that opportunity.
44:18But we are ready for the game.
44:19How do you feel you can exploit them today?
44:21We have our plan.
44:22Of course, it's not for us to talk about the plan right now.
44:25I would prefer for us to express it on the field.
44:28But we know their strengths.
44:30We know things that we can explore as well.
44:32I think the last few games that we have been playing against them.
44:35I think our performance showed that.
44:38And we know clearly what we want from the game.
44:40But we know that we are going to face a team with not just a lot of individual quality.
44:45Because they have, if they had last season, imagine how they strengthened the front line.
44:50For example, the good players that they have signed.
44:52And much more to come from the next few days for them.
44:56A collective point of view, a clear identity.
44:59But they know and it's clear that they know that they are going to face a tough opponent as well.
45:05And you are able to come and to match them and to play to get to three points.
45:11Good game ahead.
45:12And we get to see a couple of exciting 18-year-olds on display as well.
45:16Josh King starts again for Fulham.
45:19What stood out for you, Karen, so far in his performances?
45:22Look, I mean, he's keeping Emile Smith-Rowe out of the team in that position.
45:26He's an 18-year-old that's had a lot of promise from the football club and the academy
45:30and had a few appearances last season.
45:32But his season, in the two games that I've watched him, I think he's been their best player
45:36and their best attacking player.
45:38And okay, maybe in the final third, that little bit of a cutting edge and that decisiveness
45:43is maybe that he'll grow into that.
45:45But this is the things that I like.
45:46Dribbling, driving, he's reliable in possession.
45:48This pass, just a little bit, wait a pass, can you work on that?
45:51He's an 18-year-old.
45:53But the energy, the impetus, the strength, I loved about it as well.
45:56He was demanding it off players.
45:58So lucky there, to be fair to him.
45:59But he was demanding it off the back line, demanding to get into areas.
46:02And look, he will improve on this.
46:04I think this is just physicality, power that will grow into that as a young adolescent.
46:09But certainly, his confidence is there.
46:11And like I said, he's keeping a marquee signing, Smith Rowe, out of the team.
46:14So, I really like him.
46:15I love that when he was 11 as well, he walked out as a mascot with Tom Kearney.
46:19It's so lovely to see him getting in the team.
46:21It's so great.
46:22You know, it's so good to see all of these young, exciting players come sparking up all over the country.
46:27Fantastic.
46:28Some of the clips there were brilliant.
46:30What about Esteval then, Joel?
46:31Because he was called up at the last minute against West Ham.
46:33What did you think of the impact that he had?
46:35I thought he was brilliant against West Ham.
46:38He's mature.
46:39Because he's very difficult.
46:40Cole Palmer got injured.
46:42He got thrown into the Lions' den straight away.
46:45He lost the ball for the first goal.
46:47And he turned it round.
46:48But this is what he does, Linz.
46:50He drives at players.
46:51He can dribble off both feet.
46:52He receives the ball off the back foot.
46:54He can receive the ball off the front foot.
46:56He's exciting.
46:57And what he's got, what all great players have got, is when he gets the ball, the stadium lights up around him.
47:04They know that he's direct.
47:06He's going straight at him.
47:07He tore West Ham to pieces.
47:09He was picking up pockets.
47:11It was just a brilliant, brilliant performance from him.
47:13I love him.
47:14I hope that, I mean, that was a mistake that Enzo Maresco alluded to.
47:17But as you mentioned, Joe, this is the type of stuff that we want to see him doing in the attacking third.
47:21When he does things like this, I spoke about it last week.
47:24Football is about individuals.
47:26You know, teams have got so much data analysis, this defensive structure.
47:30What you can't defend against is people like that dribbling, driving and being direct and taking people on.
47:35And I think, you know, I'm sure he was seen as maybe a sub from Enzo, but I think he's going to force his way in.
47:42And I'm excited to see him today.
47:43And after the way they played in that draw at home in the first game of the season, do they kind of need that unpredictability that he can give them?
47:50Yeah, football needs the unpredictability.
47:52That's why these fans, they didn't know too much about him, but he gets the ball and they stand up and there's gasp.
48:01Because you don't want to know what every player is going to do when they get the ball every single time.
48:04And he's going to come out there and you're going to recycle it this way.
48:08He's going to get the ball when he's back to goal and he might do something that gets your team at the opposition.
48:13And that's what we watch football for. And he's really going to excite these punters.
48:17Looking forward to seeing him. Football needs Esteban. There you go. Let's see what he's got today.
48:22Well, this has been a one sided derby with Chelsea losing just three of 36 Premier League meetings between the Cottagers, but they can feel confident after that win at the bridge last season.
48:34Kickoff is on the way in this West London derby with Chelsea and Fulham looking to go into the international break on a big high.
48:46With football, there's a lot to consider. The Premier League on TNT sports proudly sponsored by Boyle sports.
