00:00Liverpool keep up their perfect start to the season, beating their rivals and their neighbours,
00:05winning all five of their opening matches in a Premier League campaign for just the third time.
00:10They stick top with 15 points, showing their mentality once again today after a tough week for them
00:18with Atletico on Wednesday night.
00:20But Peter coming through both those games in the way they have, a perfect week really.
00:25Yeah, of course it's a perfect week, it wasn't a perfect game, didn't have it all their own way today.
00:30Certainly first half, I thought they were fantastic at Liverpool, but everyone came out second half
00:34and gave a really good account of themselves, I think they struggled in the wide areas against, certainly Grealish and...
00:39I think they gave a good account of themselves, but listen, it's maximum points for Liverpool, it's a great day in the end.
00:47Well, we saw three brilliant goals in that game today, the second one scored by Hugo Eckert-Tipes.
00:53We can hear from him now, he's alongside Jules.
00:56Hugo, your first taste of the Merseyside derby, and you've come out on the winning side, how good does it feel to beat Everton?
01:04A very good feeling, we knew it was going to be a tough game, it was, we had to fight until the last minute.
01:11But yeah, I feel proud, it was a good test for me, so yeah, to have scored my goal and the win at the end, you know, you can be just proud and happy for the team, and we just have to keep going.
01:23The fans already love you here, but scoring in the derby will make them love you even more. What was the key to scoring your goal?
01:31I mean, we made good movement, I see Ryan, I had space behind and yeah, I just took it and I make the difference, I'm a bit lucky because they both go under the legs, but yeah, it's good.
01:44You started today ahead of Alexander Isak, but can that competition for your place in this team make you perform even better?
01:52I mean, he's a very, very, very good player, I always watch him before I came here, so for me, him being here, it's really good, you know, I can learn and improve myself.
02:04And, you know, it's just competition, but I know we're going to play together, we're going to make a difference, and yeah, I hope one day we're going to share the pitch.
02:13But nice for you to score today and give the manager a bit of a headache before the next game, I imagine?
02:17Nice for you to score today and give the manager a bit of a headache on who starts the next game.
02:22Yeah, yeah, no, it's good, it's good. It's a coach problem, me, I just do my job, so yeah, it's really good.
02:28Well, congratulations, well done today.
02:30Thank you very much.
02:31Thank you very much, Jules.
02:34Hugo Eketike with his first Merseyside derby goal.
02:38What a strong start he has had to his life here at Anfield.
02:43In that 2-1 victory, Ryan Gravenberg with an absolute stunner to open the scoring.
02:48Idrissa Gay made it a real battle with a great goal in the second half, but Hugo Eketike taking all the adulation as he walks down the tunnel at Anfield.
02:58And we've got more on this game on the way and so much live football to look forward to.
03:03In Serie A, we've got Inter hosting, newly promoted to solo at 7.30.
03:08The Milan Giants hoping to avoid slipping further behind the early pace setters.
03:13Napoli, they welcome Pisa on Monday.
03:15We've got the Europa League back next week.
03:19Nottingham Forest to travel to take on Real Betis on Wednesday and on the same night, Celtic in Serbia to face Red Star.
03:26On Thursday, Aston Villa kick off their campaign against Bologna, a side they beat in the Champions League at home last season.
03:33Rangers welcome Belgian side Geng to Ibrox and our next Premier League game sees Manchester United travel to Brentford on Saturday.
03:41All the build-up from 11.
03:44And of course, it is not just football.
03:47The Sluka Home Nation series continues with the English Open at the semi-final stage.
03:52Mark Selby taking on Zhao Yulong right now on TNT Sports 2 and the score currently 2-0 to Yulong.
03:58And tomorrow, it's the final day of the World Athletics Championship.
04:05Britain have two medal hopes in the 800-metre final with Keeley Hodgkinson and Georgia Hunter-Bell in action.
04:12You will not want to miss that on TNT Sports 4.
04:17Well, Liverpool have extended their winning start to the new Premier League season, making it five on the bounds, beating Everton 2-1.
04:25A bit of magic from Ryan Gravenberg, a great goal from Hugo Eketike as well.
04:32And the Reds now basking in their post-derby glow.
04:36It's bragging rights for the Reds and five wins in a row for Liverpool in the Premier League who churn out another victory.
05:03Meeting Everton 2-1 in the Merseyside derby.
05:06The Toffees gave it all they had in the second half with a brilliant consolation goal for Idrissa Gueye.
05:12But Gravenberg and Eketike on the score sheet give on a slot side all three points.
05:19Crouchy and Jolion watching alongside me.
05:22No need today for any last gasp winners for Liverpool.
05:25But they didn't make it easy for themselves in the second half, Peter.
05:28No, they didn't.
05:29I mean, there's a credit to Everton.
05:31I thought, you know, first half, you could only see one winner.
05:34But second half, they really came into it.
05:35In the wide areas, they were a real danger.
05:38I do think Everton missed a cutting edge up front.
05:41I think that was really the difference.
05:43They didn't really have anyone keeping the ball.
05:45They didn't really feel like they could score.
05:48But, you know, Liverpool got through again and they're top of the league.
05:51So it's all good.
05:52They got through again and it still feels not hitting top form yet, Jolion.
05:58But what does it say about their character and what's possible for them?
06:01The fact that they still keep churning out these wins.
06:03Yeah, the character, the quality they have, especially the first half.
06:06I thought they looked comfortable just before the half time.
06:09Everton got back into the game.
06:10But, yes, Everton were on top in the second half.
06:13But there's still an element of control from Liverpool.
06:15And they still had opportunities to score late on and on the counter-attack.
06:18So, yeah, the game went on and it got stretched.
06:20Probably not what they expected here.
06:22But it's a derby and anything can happen.
06:24And what did you make of Everton's overall performance?
06:27Especially that second half, the way they started it.
06:30Yeah, like I said, just before half time, I thought they were the better team going into half time.
06:33But it's kind of easier to do that sometimes when you're 2-0 or when you're behind.
06:37But second half, definitely, whatever the manager said, inspired them, encouraged them.
06:41The change helped slightly as well.
06:42And I think, yes, overall, they'll be frustrated.
06:47But, yeah, Liverpool scored two magnificent goals in the first half.
06:50And you can't make the mistakes.
06:52And a big day for Hugo Ekotike as well, Peter.
06:55Because with Alexander Issaac on the bench today, to get that goal, just how big is that for him?
07:01Yeah, it's huge.
07:01I mean, he just want to keep scoring goals.
07:03You know, I've been in that situation before.
07:06You just feel like no matter what you do, you're not going to get a game.
07:09But he's got off to a flying start here.
07:11The crowd have really taken to him.
07:13He's an absolute class act.
07:15He took his goal really, really well.
07:16But what a place to be for Arna Slott to have two top-class centre-forwards.
07:21And you can see a huge smile on the face of Ryan Gravenberg as he walks down the touchline.
07:26Another ridiculously good performance from him today, Jolian.
07:30Yeah, two goal contributions.
07:32Correctly touched on that before the game.
07:33Can he add that to his game to become world-class?
07:35But even without them goals, I think his control, his determination to win the ball back is exceptional.
07:41So, yeah, he's in fine form, the young man.
07:43I bet he's really pleased to be out here in the rain.
07:45Yeah, right.
07:46Pleased to come out in the rain.
07:48Thank you so much for coming out to join us while it's chucking it down here.
07:52Congratulations on the win.
07:53Your first Merseyside derby goal as well.
07:55How did that feel, especially to do it in such spectacular fashion?
08:00Yeah, I'm really happy with the goal.
08:01Last season, I didn't score a lot, so I'm happy that I could score, especially in the Merseyside derby as well.
08:10Two goals already this season as well.
08:14And look at the way you did it here.
08:16Just talk us through it.
08:17What did you think of the ball from Mo?
08:18We know if Mo got the ball, get the ball.
08:21He has the, yeah, incredible pass.
08:23And we know if, like, someone is on the ball side, they have to go through and the space is coming in behind.
08:31So I saw it and I went in behind and, yeah, I did a thing.
08:35Unbelievably difficult skill that, you know, to take it across you on a greasy surface as well.
08:39I can easily get away with you, get away from you, that ball, but fantastic technique.
08:43Yeah, if I see it now.
08:45I'll be happy with that.
08:46I'll be happy with that.
08:46We'll watch that again later.
08:47Yeah, for sure.
08:49You can be very proud of that one.
08:51And also, as well, after such a tough week with Atletico and then a derby, an early kickoff today,
08:58just how good an achievement is that for the team to come through with two wins?
09:02Yeah, really happy with that as well.
09:05We know we had three games in seven days, so we know in England it's really tough, but we prepare as well.
09:11And at the end, yeah, we are happy with the three points, so we keep going now.
09:16I have to say, it was quite a difficult second half for you in the end.
09:20You know, the first half was fantastic, but what kind of, what were the difficulties Everton were posing you in the second half?
09:27First, the goal, what we conceded.
09:28I think that didn't need to happen, but it was that.
09:33And then we know if they scored a 2-1, they will come, they will come, they will come.
09:37And we were a little bit going back and going for the counter.
09:41And I think we had chances to score again, but we didn't, and then it will be difficult.
09:47Ryan, before the game, the guys were saying that right now they feel that you're one of the best midfielders in the world right now.
09:54How do you feel like you've taken your game to another level this season?
09:58Yes, the coach that gave me the confidence and not like this season, we have more freedom in the midfield.
10:07Last season, I was like only on the sixth, like deep, deep, and now I can go more forward, which is what you see today.
10:15And I think my strength is also there, so I'm happy with that and also happy with the goal.
10:22What are Arnest Lott's biggest strengths as a manager?
10:25What do you love about working with him?
10:28You know, he's very clear.
10:31And when it comes to his mind, he tells you.
10:33And also the tactic part is really good, so, yeah.
10:39Absolutely, and a tough period coming up as well, but such strength and depth in this squad.
10:44Do you feel like you've still got lots of gears to go to as a group?
10:50Of course, of course.
10:51We know we have a good group.
10:53They're both players as well, really good players.
10:55So, we know it's not only the starting XI, it's the whole team, and we are like a family, so we push each other, and you see now, for example, Hugo scored today, and then Isaac comes in and gives it all, so I'm really happy with the squad.
11:11You all combined as a midfield for Ekotike's goal.
11:16How nice is it to play in that midfield three with the three you've got in there?
11:19We know we have a lot of quality in front.
11:23Nice combination with all three of you here.
11:25Yeah, you see, also, quality in the midfield, I mean, I know when I got a ball, Hugo was going in behind, and yeah, the finish was really good.
11:35Would you like to add more assists and goals to your game?
11:38Your all-round game is so good, but can you add more goals and assists?
11:43Yeah, that's what I said.
11:45Last season, I think I didn't even score.
11:48So, of course, I want this season, yeah, more goals and assists.
11:53So, yeah, I'm really happy with today.
11:55And I think this is your fourth Merseyside derby.
11:58You're unbeaten, Ryan.
11:59So what does it mean for the rest of the weekend?
12:01How much do you enjoy that now you've got the win?
12:03Yeah, we are now for the top of the league.
12:07And yeah, it's always nice to win a Merseyside derby.
12:10So I'm really happy going to recover, and we keep going on Tuesday.
12:15And I think Crouchy's got a little award for you there, the player of the match.
12:19It's not a surprise.
12:20It's not a surprise.
12:21This one is nice.
12:22Congratulations, mate.
12:23Well-deserved.
12:24Well-deserved.
12:24We're going to let you go, because you're not dressed for the weather as well, wearing the sliders there.
12:28Thank you so much for coming out to join us.
12:30Thank you very much.
12:31Have a good afternoon.
12:32Well played.
12:34Cheers, Ryan.
12:34Yeah.
12:36Just one of the best players in the league this season so far that we've seen in the entire game.
12:40Yeah, one of the nicest fellas as well, by the way.
12:42What a lovely fella.
12:43I mean, he's got every right to be happy right now.
12:45Yeah, oh my God.
12:46Listen, we talked him up before the game.
12:48I just hope sometimes he doesn't go out and have a shocker.
12:51He literally talked him up that much.
12:53But, I mean, he just proved it again.
12:54I think he's been Liverpool's best player this season.
12:56There's no dressing it up.
12:58I mean, an absolute class act.
13:00You know, the way he moves through midfield, he breaks the lines with, you know, by going past people.
13:05He touches in and around the box.
13:06He's an absolute class act.
13:08But not only that, he works hard and he does his defensive tutors as well, Jolien.
13:12Oh, 100%.
13:12I think he has capabilities to dictate games in possession.
13:16But also the capabilities like here.
13:17You see the close control and just to slow the tempo down, recognise what the game needs.
13:21And when he needs to, he has got the physical attributes, whether it's running in behind or strong physical presence to just dictate play.
13:29And that's a sign of a tuck-tuck player and someone that wants to get on the ball.
13:32He's got it all.
13:33Yeah, without that, yeah.
13:34You can see he's talking with the smile on his face because last year he was very much, as he said, in that sixth role.
13:40Now, I think with Zbosla in there and McAllister as well, he's been given licence to get forward a little bit more.
13:46Just a little tweak, really.
13:47Yeah, a tiny tweak.
13:49I mean, listen, you'll still do his defensive side of the job as well as he always has done.
13:54But he can add a little bit more going forward as well.
13:57Is it even more impressive to come in from Bayern where he wasn't starting games?
14:02I think he only made four starts for Bayern Munich.
14:05Not really getting in that starting line-up.
14:07To come here and really get up to those levels that he has.
14:11Super impressive because we've seen other players from Germany come here and struggle that have been starting in their team.
14:15So, to come and not probably have the rhythm that other players had, he's come in and he's a focal point now.
14:20He has to start in Liverpool's midfield and I don't think anyone predicted he was going to be so influential when they signed him.
14:26They hoped he would grow into the role, but to have it so quickly and be so important to the team is huge for him.
14:32Well, let's hear from the blue camp as well now because we can hear from Jack Relish.
14:37He's with Jules Breach.
14:39Jack, your first Merseyside derby as an Everton player.
14:42How did you find it out there?
14:43Yeah, no, it was probably what I expected.
14:48Coming here, it was hostile.
14:50It was a fast start.
14:52I don't think we played well at all really in the first half.
14:57We come in at half-time and had a bit of a chat between ourselves and with the manager.
15:02I thought we'd bust a game in the second half.
15:05It's frustrating now because you go in there and you say, if we would have played like that from the start, if we would have pressed like that from the start, it would have been a different game.
15:15But, yeah, in the end, we couldn't get that last goal.
15:18You gave it absolutely everything in the second half, as you say.
15:20And with the way Liverpool's season has gone so far with letting Leeds slip away, was there always a belief that there was something in this for you?
15:26Yeah, no, even myself, you know, when I've watched them this season, they've been so good.
15:31But there have been a few times here where they've gone 2-0 up, like the other day, for example, against Atletico.
15:38And, yeah, they conceded too.
15:40So we always had that belief that we could do it.
15:42We got the one back, you know, a great finish from Madrid.
15:46And, yeah, like I said, we couldn't get that last goal.
15:50And, yeah, it was a bit frustrating in the second half.
15:52You know, I think they obviously were trying to slow the game down at times.
15:55And we had time, you know, I've never seen a player in my whole life get booked for taking a quick free kick.
16:02I don't know where that rule's coming.
16:04So, yeah, I don't think, even the stoppage time, I think, what was it, three minutes and one minute?
16:11Like, come on, I've never seen that in the Premier League in the last two, three years.
16:16So, yeah.
16:17Were there a few frustrations at the referee today?
16:20Yeah, of course, because I think, you know, there was time.
16:23Listen, I get, you know, sometimes you want to let the game go.
16:27I completely get that.
16:28But then you can't not give something for us.
16:31And then the two seconds later, one of their defenders gets touched in the back and he goes down.
16:35And then he gives it.
16:36I'm just like, you can't do that.
16:38And obviously, I get it sometimes, you know, you come to these stadiums and the crowd are on there.
16:43And, you know, I think they feel like they feel a bit, you know, like they've got to give it.
16:47But, yeah, like I said, Kiernan now is on, I think, four yellows.
16:51I think he's got one more and he gets yellow today for taking a quick free kick.
16:55Like, we want to get the game going.
16:57You know, we're losing the game.
16:58So, yeah, I've never heard of that in my life.
17:01Well, despite the result today, you've had a really good start to the season personally.
17:05Was this move to Everton exactly what you needed to resurrect your career?
17:08A hundred percent.
17:10And, you know, I think the manager has come out and says, you know, a few times,
17:14it's not down to me, it's down to Jack, which sometimes I disagree with because, you know,
17:19I've come here and he's been so, so good with me.
17:21You know, I've absolutely loved playing for him.
17:24And I've said before, you know, in interviews, as soon as I spoke to him,
17:28when I was on a holiday, you know, I just knew that I wanted to come and play for him.
17:32So, yeah, I thank him, you know, for giving me my love back, you know,
17:37and waking up on a match day and wanting to, you know, smile and play again.
17:42So, and the fans as well, you know, they've been so good with me.
17:46But I want to come here and make a difference in games like today.
17:51Obviously, it weren't meant to be, but we've got important games coming up.
17:55So, hopefully we can get back on track.
17:57Appreciate your time. Thank you.
17:58Cheers. Thank you.
17:59Jack Grealish not happy with some of the officiating.
18:04Firstly, though, he really wanted to thank David Moyes there and give him credit
18:08and said that he's given him his love back for football, Julian.
18:13Yeah, I think that was obvious to see.
18:14Knowing Jack, that was a big thing for me last season,
18:17especially just seeing him not smile enough on the pitch.
18:20He's someone that, like I said before the game, wants responsibility,
18:24likes the pressure of being the man.
18:25And if you give him the opportunities to produce moments, he will.
18:30He'll frustrate opposition players and just make the team tick,
18:34whether it's slowing it down, speeding it up.
18:36He has a great understanding of what the game needs and when it needs it.
18:39So, what we're seeing today and what we've seen today shouldn't necessarily surprise us.
18:43It's great that we're seeing a new Lisa life in Jack and I'm so pleased for him
18:48and hopefully he can emulate today's performance with better results, obviously,
18:52being the outcome.
18:53But, listen, today's performance was typical of Jack Grealish.
18:56It feels like we're seeing Jack Grealish, the showman, again, Peter.
19:00Yeah, that's it.
19:01He's credited David Moyes, which is great there,
19:04because he put it all on Jack before the game, the manager.
19:07But, yeah, he's playing with a smile on his face.
19:09It feels like when he's at his best, he's going past people both sides.
19:13You know, quite often at Manchester City, he was going down the line,
19:16cutting back and you'd always feel that he'd pass it back.
19:18This time he's getting to the byline sometimes.
19:20I mean, some of his best work was going on the outside
19:22and we haven't seen enough of that, you know?
19:24And I thought he was first class today and unlucky to be on the losing side.
19:28Why do you think that love went away at Manchester City, Jolien,
19:33and why we're sort of seeing the best Jack Grealish again now
19:36under David Moyes?
19:37Yeah, just frustration with himself.
19:40Probably the system, the way the season went for Man City in a whole.
19:43There's loads of variables.
19:45I don't think it's going to be one thing, but, like I said,
19:47Jack Grealish is at his best when he's smiling
19:49and if he isn't doing that and he isn't enjoying it,
19:51for whatever reason, you're not going to get the best version of him.
19:54So, it was key for him to make a decision for his career
19:57with a World Cup year coming as well.
20:00This was a great opportunity and he's given Thomas Tuchel an option as well.
20:04So, the fact that Jack Grealish is loving his football
20:06only bodes well for Everton and hopefully England.
20:08If he keeps up this form, and I guess that's the challenge
20:11to maintain this level in a World Cup year, as Jolien said,
20:15can you see him getting called back into Thomas Tuchel's side?
20:17Without a doubt.
20:18I mean, the only reason he kind of came out of it was,
20:21you know, it was a couple of probably disappointing seasons,
20:23but was that because the shackles were on him?
20:25Was that a tactical thing?
20:26You know, and obviously probably a lack of confidence.
20:29The minute he's arrived here, he looks like he's ready to be
20:32the Jack Grealish that we all know.
20:34And, you know, even in the interviews there, he's a character.
20:37You know, he's talking open and honestly.
20:39He's someone that we want playing in the Premier League
20:42because he's exciting to watch.
20:44Absolutely.
20:45And another good performance from him today,
20:48even though he was on the losing side.
20:50That whole attacking trident, though, with Jai on the other side.
20:54And then you've got Keenan Dewsbury Hall as well,
20:56who's done well since he's coming in.
20:57Does that just give Everton a lot of belief in every game now,
21:01having that flair up front?
21:02Yeah, Dewsbury Hall, I thought, was exceptional as well.
21:04I think he was key to them winning the ball back,
21:07especially in the second half.
21:08But like we actually touched on just after the game,
21:09I think they were strikers short from being a real threat.
21:13I think the wide men in the wide areas,
21:14they can cause a lot of problems.
21:16And Dai, Jack, that they're able to create moments of brilliance.
21:19But I just think there's moments in the game
21:21where you need the striker just to hold the ball up
21:23and absorb some pressure.
21:25But you see the goal, Drewsse Gaye plays out wide
21:27and a mixed, a delayed run into the box.
21:29But like Crouchy said, Jack Grealish going down the line,
21:32but that's a great touch from him, Dai, and a super strike.
21:34He probably should have done that in the first half
21:35when he got one cut back.
21:36But this strike is exceptional.
21:39Top-class goal, that.
21:40I mean, like I say, Grealish going down on the left-hand side.
21:44Great ball in.
21:45Beautiful touches.
21:46Great awareness, the calmness to bring him to play
21:50and a great finish.
21:51But I mean, Grealish touched on it in the interview
21:54about the wingers were so key to the game.
21:56And obviously, Drewsbury wanted to get the game going
21:58nice and quick.
21:59We're right next to David Moyes,
22:01and he's screaming,
22:02get it wide, get it wide,
22:03because he knew that the wingers were so important
22:07for Everton.
22:08And then the referee, time and time again,
22:10kept pulling it up.
22:12The fact that they were taking quick free kicks
22:14and then to book him for it,
22:16as he said,
22:16I was just flabbergasted.
22:18He was really.
22:18It does seem pretty mental.
22:20And of course,
22:20we want to get on with the game.
22:22You know,
22:23Everton are losing.
22:24They need to get the ball in the box.
22:26They need to play quickly.
22:27And the referee just kept stopping.
22:29He can get booked for time wasting,
22:31but also then get booked for doing it too quick.
22:33It just,
22:34like Jack said,
22:34it doesn't make sense.
22:35It doesn't,
22:36it's frustrating,
22:36especially when you're behind.
22:37You just want to get the game going.
22:39You've got the momentum.
22:39You need to get a goal.
22:41So yeah,
22:41it was a strange decision.
22:43But listen,
22:44Everton,
22:44over the course of 90 minutes,
22:46didn't do enough to get anything out of the game.
22:48I'm really unhappy with just three minutes added on
22:50at the end as well.
22:52Yeah,
22:52I think,
22:53again,
22:53I think Ali and Fletch touched on that.
22:54I think the subs alone would warrant more than three minutes.
22:57Then there's goals added into that.
22:58So surely,
22:59you have to compensate for all that.
23:00I don't know the ins and outs
23:01and the actual ruling of how you allocate
23:05or add on time,
23:07but it seemed like there should have been
23:08more than three minutes.
23:10Flipping it back to Liverpool,
23:11he was up against Conor Bradley today,
23:13who made his first start of the season piece there.
23:17What did you think of how he did against Jack
23:19and that battle between them?
23:21Well,
23:22you know,
23:22Ali and Fletch in commentary,
23:24you know,
23:24mentioned Julian Dixon,
23:25Stuart Pearce.
23:26I mean,
23:28he was aggressive,
23:29right?
23:30He was,
23:30he was,
23:31you know,
23:31in his face.
23:32He was,
23:32he's really,
23:33but this,
23:33he had a tough afternoon,
23:34but I thought he held his own
23:36and gave a really good account of himself.
23:38I think defensively,
23:39like,
23:39he is a rash at times,
23:40you know,
23:40he wants to get in people's faces
23:41and he's got good quality as well.
23:43And I definitely think there's a,
23:44there's competition for places,
23:46shall we say,
23:47I think,
23:47because on the other side,
23:48I think Robertson was a little bit unlucky to miss out.
23:51Having said that,
23:52I thought Kerkhez had his best game in a Liverpool shirt today.
23:55Great leap on him,
23:57you know,
23:57he can win headers,
23:58he was strong,
23:59he was good going forward.
23:59So,
24:00real positive signs in the fullback areas,
24:02I think.
24:03Yeah,
24:03how good was it for him to come back and play like that,
24:06Kerkhez?
24:07Bearing in mind,
24:07he was hauled off against Burnley
24:09with Arna Slott
24:10implying he was a bit of a,
24:12a card waiting to happen
24:13and he,
24:14and he had no choice but to take him off.
24:15To,
24:16to then put him in from the start
24:17and such a highly charged fixture.
24:19Yeah,
24:19I think the managers recognised what the game needed
24:21and,
24:22and against Burnley,
24:22he needed to come off.
24:23He was,
24:23he was liable to get sent off.
24:25But today,
24:25like Kerkhez said,
24:26that's his best game.
24:27That'll give him the,
24:27the world of confidence.
24:29I think,
24:29was it,
24:30the Fulham game or,
24:32I think he got beat at the back stick.
24:33No,
24:33the Newcastle game when he got beat at the back stick
24:35and today he was exceptional.
24:36I think he won three or four headers,
24:37so important.
24:38So,
24:39like,
24:39listen,
24:39it's a lot of pressure to come to a club like this
24:41and have to perform every week
24:43and be scrutinised.
24:44I mean,
24:45you're probably used to just being on TV once
24:47every couple of months for,
24:49for Bournemouth.
24:49But,
24:50yeah,
24:50today we'll give,
24:51doing the world of good because he,
24:52he performed well.
24:53Yeah,
24:54spoke for choice with the options he has on that bench
24:56on a slot.
24:57Another win,
24:58top of the league,
24:59Liverpool with 15.6 points clear.
25:02They are after five wins out of,
25:05five.
25:05And we're going to go from the champions of the
25:08Premier League to the champions in rugby as well
25:11because we're heading to Bath,
25:13who welcome Exeter in the Prem Rugby Cup.
25:16Ugo Monje and the team are there for us.
25:18And be honest,
25:19Ugo,
25:19how distracted have the guys been by the football?
25:25Thank you very much,
25:26Lindsay.
25:27Yes,
25:27we're at the recreation ground.
25:28I'm here with a couple of former rugby players
25:30with massive football fans.
25:31Look,
25:31they've even got their names on the back.
25:33How cute is that?
25:34Austin Healy.
25:35It should be 16.
25:38You must be pleased with that.
25:39You said that the title was done.
25:41Yeah,
25:41it might as well be over.
25:42Yeah,
25:43potential banana skin today against our noisy neighbours,
25:46but no,
25:46put them in the place.
25:47Good win.
25:47Momentum.
25:48We just keep,
25:48keep building.
25:49I love the fact he calls me a neighbour.
25:51He lives in London like every Liverpool football fan.
25:53I do promise you we will be talking rugby after because it is Bath up against Exeter in the Prem Rugby Cup.
25:59So don't go anywhere.
26:01Back to you,
26:01Lindsay.
26:03Yeah,
26:03Danny cares.
26:04So the title is done.
26:05We'll put that to the guys in a minute,
26:07but we'll look forward to it,
26:09Ugo.
26:09It is Prem Rugby Cup action up next on TNT Sports 1.
26:13And for more reaction and interviews following the Merseyside derby with Jolyon and Peter,
