00:00It's the latest phase of the investigation into a suspected doomsday cult in Kenya.

00:05Gruesome exhumations at Shakama Ranch in Kilifi County have been suspended to allow for DNA analysis

00:13after more than 100 body parts and 34 new bodies were uncovered.

00:18The site lies just two kilometres from where over 400 bodies were discovered two years ago,

00:24linked to controversial preacher Paul McKenzie, who remains in custody on murder charges.

00:28Police say this second round of exhumations coincides with the regrouping of former cult members.

00:35A multi-agency team is investigating what led to these new deaths,

00:39including recent arrests of 11 suspects held after a woman reported the deaths of her children.

00:45Government pathologists are now preparing to conduct autopsies, starting with x-rays as the probe deepens.

00:52Authorities are also analysing money transfers to the suspects' phones,

00:55suspecting that cult operations were still being quietly funded.

01:00Police say the cult members had rented homes in Manlindi before relocating to the remote forested Shakama Ranch.
