00:08In a statement, Code Pink said,
00:10while the White House wasted at least $7 million a day on reckless military operations,
00:17it is drastically cutting funds for precisely what could address drug addiction in the country,
00:23medical care, treatment programs and education.
00:26They also emphasized, we refuse to allow Washington to drag Latin America and the Caribbean
00:31back into an era of gunboat diplomacy and imperial control.
00:37The war machine must be stopped.
00:39Finally, they emphasized Venezuela has the right to sovereignty.
00:43The Caribbean has the right to peace.
00:45We demand an independent investigation, an end to U.S. military buildup in the region
00:51and full accountability for any violations of international law.
