Transcript
00:00Teams, StreamEast, the world's largest illegal sports streaming platform,
00:06has been shut down after a year-long investigation, per The Athletic.
00:10The network of 80 unauthorized domains generated 1.6 billion combined visits over the past year,
00:19providing free access to global sports fixtures such as the Premier League and Champions League,
00:24as well as the NFL, NBA, and MLB.
00:27So the soccer's probably driving a lot of this.
00:29It's my understanding this is like an Egyptian company or Egyptian website.
00:35It's probably based in Egypt.
00:37That don't necessarily mean it's Egyptian.
00:39Right.
00:39It's somebody from around the world that's probably saying, oh, this is a good spot to set it up.
00:44Well, I can't help but notice this illegal streaming website that's the biggest in the world.
00:53It's two days before the first NFL game of the year.
00:57Then it got busted.
00:59I'm not saying that Champions League and EPL and all these soccer is not huge,
01:05and we know hockey and basketball is coming up, and that's huge.
01:09But, like, they took this joint down two days before the NFL opens.
01:13In the United States.
01:14Yeah.
01:15And it says a lot.
01:17And the NFL all of a sudden has gotten more and more streaming partners, right?
01:20Amazon, YouTube, Netflix, not to mention just NBC, CBS, Fox.
01:26I understand.
01:28Listen, it's all business and it's all money for the NFL, but I'll say this.
01:33Don't get caught up as a young person.
