During a press conference on Tuesday, Rep. Jasmine Crockett (D-TX) said that a discharge petition filed by Rep. Thomas Massie (R-KY), which requests the Department of Justice's Epstein files, will expose which GOP members are "actors" over their concern for the Epstein files.
00:00Now, I was just going to add about that alleged mootness.
00:03After hearing their stories and talking about the fact that they have been trying to go to all levels of government since the 90s,
00:11what we should do is make sure that we do everything that we can to make sure that we finally get some semblance of justice for them.
00:19So if that means that there's an extra vote that doesn't really take us very much time,
00:23even if he believes that it's worth it so that those victims feel like we are actually serious,
00:30we need to pull every single lever that we have.
00:33And right now, I could hear and see within them, they kept saying, we're believing and we're trusting you, right?
00:42They were saying the words, but I can tell you that their body language was not giving off trust.
00:47Their body language, in fact, one of them said something to the effect of either you all are all very serious and honest about this or you're very good actors.
01:00We going to find out who's real and we're going to find out who the real actors are.
01:05And so that is why anyone who believes that this matters, they should sign the discharge.
01:11And they also, they being the Republicans, should go to their leadership and demand a vote be had.
