00:00Oi, I'm PC World. You have the right to remain silent. Anything you say can and will be used against you unless you book your Aladdin Pompey Pantomime tickets.
00:12I'm very excited to be here in Pompey. I've never worked in this theatre before. It's a beautiful theatre.
00:21So I hope that a lot of people come and get that magical feeling that only theatre can give you.
00:27Having a live show is fantastic. Phenomenal. And I'll be coming back here to do my one woman show, which is going to be amazing.
00:37And Jack Edwards will be presenting me. So you all know Jack and I'm sure you know me, but you don't know all about me.
00:46So come along. Even the princess, Princess Anne was amazed to hear that I could sing. So come along. We'll have a great evening as well.
00:55Hello, guys. My name is Aladdin. No, sorry.
00:59Well, I am so excited to get to know the cast, I think. More than anything, we've had our first day together today and we're all just buzzing.
01:06So happy to meet each other. So I think I'm really looking forward to getting to know everyone.
01:10And we don't start rehearsals until, what is it, end of November?
01:13End of November.
01:13So, yeah, we've got an exciting Christmas to come.
01:16I can't wait for the read-through. We're going to do a read-through. So we'll see how the script works with everyone, how we interact with each other.
01:24And, yeah, just bring everything to life now because we've been waiting for a while. So we cannot wait. So excited.
01:30So back at the Kings in South Sea is absolutely a dream come true because I had such a brilliant time two years ago playing hook.
01:37And I really wanted to come back. And luckily this year is the part of Abanaza, which I have played before, I'll be honest with you.
01:44I love playing the baddie. Absolutely love it.
01:47When I first left EastEnders because Barry was a fairly decent guy, I got the parts like Buttons and, you know, Idle Jack or whatever.
01:55And it is all right, but you can't beat playing the villain. It's so much more fun.
01:59It's just a great show from start to finish. We've got some great songs in this year, as there is every year at South Sea.
02:06Like I say, there's these wonderful moments, the magic carpet ride.
02:09There's always a wonderful triumphant entry into the village at the start of Act Two.
02:13We might even have the ghost gag bench. You never know. It's been in for a while now.
02:19That one might be coming back and there'll be the old 12 Days of Christmas with the toilet rolls.
02:24All the favourites will be in there, but some new stuff as well. So, you know, plenty to look forward to.
02:29Excellent. And maybe a little bariocchi as well?
02:31I think I'll put a little bit of bariocchi in this year. I think I'm singing a bit of Queen.
02:35Not quite sure yet, but I think we're singing a bit of Queen this year.
02:38And in fact, the character is called Abba Barinaza.
02:42I can't escape him. Don't want to, really.
02:45It's been absolutely brilliant. Everybody is coming. Everybody is really excited.
02:50It's a bit like the first day at school. I mean, I know we've got rehearsals starting,
02:54but this is the day where everyone really comes together.
02:57We've got a script read later on, which is really exciting.
03:00So it's going to be the first time that we're all sat around a table and read the script for the first time.
03:04So that's nervous for me because I write the scripts and it's going to be to see if it's actually funny, hopefully.
03:10But yeah, I mean, everyone is just lovely.
03:12They're incredible. It's a real proper West End cast.
03:16So we're really, really lucky.
03:18A West End cast with a East End hint, haven't you said?
03:21West, that's very good, Habs.
03:22West End cast with a hint of East End.
03:25But yeah, it's going to be very special this year.
