00:00But at the start of an NFL season, a lot of bettors out there are like, you know what?
00:03Let me just take the better team out there.
00:05Moneyline parlays here.
00:07Take them straight up.
00:07It doesn't matter.
00:08Did you know last year, Joe, 195 and 77 was the record for the favorites straight up last year against their counterparts, the underdogs.
00:18The favorites had their way last year.
00:20Now in betting and also in the history of sports, things usually get back to their level.
00:25Is this going to be the return of a lot more upsets or are the favorites continue to beat down the underdogs here in 2025?
00:33Yeah, if I remember correctly, it was one of the most profitable public betting seasons in the NFL in a long time.
00:41And those happen.
00:42But you know what else happens, Sonny, is they very rarely have back to back winning seasons where the public cash is out.
00:51But, you know, September football is a little bit different than October, November, December NFL football.
00:59So let's see what we get early on.
01:03There's a lot of different trends that tell us in September, whatever we see in September, you don't spend a lot of time on it because that has nothing to do.
01:11These football teams will not be the same come October and November.
01:15But it remains to be seen if the public is going to be cashing as many tickets as they did last year.
