debut album. In the late 60s in Germany there was a pop band Fashion, often speaking as a warming of the concerts of visiting the British progressive rock stars. Feeling a taste for the execution of such music has got hold of the Englishman and vocalist Chris Williams, in 1971 they became a group of Abacus (which probably means "abacus" - the ancient Greco-Roman counting board). In August 1971 was recorded unexpectedly strong resulting self-titled debut album and single Seasong / Love You Till The Cows Come Home (1972 Polydor), distributed in England label, Polydor. In February-March 1972 was recorded by the material of the second disk - Just A Day's Journey Away. Balancing on the verge of pop music, Abacus sang then "priblyuzovanny" rock with clear Bit intonation, individual "nod" towards The Move and the Bonzo Dog Band and psychedelic touches.
