The Inside Out – Bringin’ It All Back 1968 (USA, Garage-Psychedelic Rock)

A band from Monmouth, Illinois. The members were still in high school when, in 1968, they recorded their only album, *Bringin’ It All Back*, at Fredlo Recording Studios in Davenport, Iowa. According to a local newspaper article, the album was recorded in nine hours and served essentially as "promotional material" for the five-piece group. The album contained twelve tracks—all of which were cover versions. The article also notes that the two best songs from the record, "Hold On" and "Let’s Spend the Night Together," were released as a single. Both the album and the single were produced by Bob Fry (father of Bill Fry). Beginning in the late 1960s, the band performed throughout western Illinois for about a decade. Notably, the group placed fifth in a Chicago-based "Battle of the Bands" competition. In late 1975, the band released another single—this time on the Golden Voice label—featuring the tracks "Please Promise Me" and "It’s Livin’." By that point, Bill Fry was the only remaining member from the original lineup.
