00:00This season on Project Runway, thousands of fashion hopefuls from across the country
00:05auditioned for the chance to show America that they are the next great American designer.
00:11You have a lovely day now.
00:13We picked the 15 most talented and flew them to New York to compete for the opportunity of a lifetime.
00:20Tonight, all 15 meet again for the first time since they gathered in New York.
00:24We'll see exclusive unseen footage.
00:26The designers will answer your questions, we'll give $10,000 to the winner of this year's fan-favorite competition
00:34and revisit the most memorable moments from Season 4 of Project Runway.
00:42Hello, designers.
00:43Hello.
00:44Welcome.
00:46Tim Gunn and I would like to welcome you back to your old stomping grounds, Parsons, the new school for design.
00:53They look a little bit more relaxed today, no?
00:55They do, absolutely.
00:57Absolutely.
00:58They used to be very tense, standing there in the spotlight.
01:01Different circumstances today, but we're thrilled to be with you again and it's wonderful to see you.
01:07Do you know what?
01:07We have so many millions of fans to thank.
01:10And later tonight, we will announce the winner of the fan-favorite competition.
01:15The winner will receive a check for $10,000.
01:19Nice.
01:20Thrilling, huh?
01:21Very nice.
01:22It's been a while.
01:22I haven't seen you guys in such a long time.
01:24You've been out and about in the public again and it's been airing.
01:27How has it been?
01:28It's weird.
01:29Why is it weird?
01:30Because our lives haven't changed as far as our jobs.
01:33So when you're walking around doing your normal routine, it's like people just stop you.
01:37I want to know, Simone, how has it been for you?
01:39You left us a little bit on the earlier side.
01:41I did.
01:42I left early.
01:42It's been good, actually.
01:44Kit and I were in the airport and there was a group of kids that were all flying together and they rushed up to us.
01:48And I'm like, we want your picture.
01:50Yeah.
01:50Yeah, I get a lot of emails from like eight-year-old little girls and they send me like scans of their illustrations.
01:56Yeah.
01:57They ask me for my advice.
01:58And it's the coolest part is to be a positive inspiration to, you know, young kids who want to design.
02:03These little girls that come up and they recognize me and that's amazing because they're just like, you gave me such hope that like, you know, it's okay if I think differently and it's okay if I don't do things the way everybody else does.
02:13That part's really awesome.
02:14My favorite part is when celebrities accost me.
02:18Who's accosted you, sweet pea?
02:20Jack Black said I was his favorite.
02:22Oh.
02:23Catherine Keener.
02:24Like Brad Pitt was in the vicinity and I was like, Brad Pitt's right there.
02:28Why does anyone care that I'm here?
02:30And they were like, they want to meet you.
02:31And I'm like, are you kidding?
02:33I loved it.
02:34Victoria, I want to know how it's been for you.
02:36And you just had a show for Fashion Week.
02:38Yes.
02:39Congratulations.
02:40Yeah, congratulations.
02:43And that was your first fashion show, yeah?
02:45Yes.
02:46And how was that?
02:48A lot of work, but the turnout was great and I've gotten some write-ups.
02:53Congratulations, really.
02:54That's a wonderful achievement.
02:56What I would like to know from you guys, when you first came and you all met each other,
03:00who did you think would be showing at Fashion Week?
03:04I thought Carmen right off the bat.
03:06You're so sweet, Miriam.
03:08I was actually impressed by everyone.
03:10Like, to be honest, I thought everyone was really good.
03:13Steve, who did you think was really, really good?
03:15You know, I remember during that very first challenge, watching Rami play with that gray
03:19fabric for four or five hours straight and never picking up the scissors and just thinking
03:24to myself, Jesus, that kid is screwed.
03:27And then all of a sudden I turned around and I'm like, you've got to be kidding me.
03:32Just where did you pull this out of?
03:35I was really blown away by him straight off the bat.
03:37I want to cut to the chase now.
03:38Great.
03:39Go for it.
03:40And bring out our finalists.
03:41Yay.
03:42Okay?
03:43Our first designer was the winner of the final challenge of the season.
03:47Our young prodigy, Christian Siriano.
03:55Welcome.
03:55How long did you spend on your hair today?
03:59I don't know.
03:59I did it like four times.
04:01It's fierce.
04:02Our next finalist represents the women in fashion, Jillian Lewis.
04:11We missed you all.
04:12You are.
04:14Our third designer, draping master, Rami Kashu.
04:25Our last designer is known for his dramatic flair and his over-the-top personality and designs.
04:31Chris March.
04:40Welcome.
04:41Did you miss everybody?
04:43Yeah.
04:44This year on Project Runway, the judges were gridlocked in their deliberation about who to move forward to Fashion Week.
04:51So it ended differently than it has in any previous season.
04:55Let's take a look.
04:57Designers, this was a difficult decision.
04:59Only one of you will move on to compete at Fashion Week.
05:04Chris, you're in.
05:09Rami, you're also in.
05:13What?
05:13We're going to give you both an opportunity to create collections for Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week.
05:24Now, don't get too excited because only one of you will make it there.
05:29When you return to New York for Fashion Week, you will show us your three strongest looks.
05:34We will determine which one of you will move on to compete at Fashion Week and which one will be out.
05:41We're both in.
05:44We're here.
05:45We'll choose one of us after we do the collection.
05:49How did you guys feel?
05:54It still chokes me up to even think about it because when you said that I was in, I was just like in total, absolute, mortified shock.
06:04And then when you said Rami was in, I was like, oh, they're not doing this.
06:10You caught me off guard.
06:11But it kind of brought us closer together because we kind of like knew that we had the same battle ahead of us.
06:17So Rami and Chris, how are you each feeling about your collections?
06:20I love my collection.
06:22I think it's, what is it?
06:24It's a little, maybe a little kooky.
06:26Um, not too much, though.
06:29And whether or not it ends up being in the finals, I'm really thrilled with it.
06:34Rami?
06:36I'm very proud of what I've done.
06:38I feel very strongly about it.
06:40I could only be hopeful that it will impress the judges in the end and that I will get to speak my voice as a designer.
06:46What would it mean to you to go to Fashion Week?
06:48It would mean having beaten him, for one thing.
06:51And it's the world stage of fashion.
06:53I mean, it's the Super Bowl.
06:56I would just like, like, look.
06:59Well, there's another person sitting right here who we all had high hopes for.
07:05You know, we thought was going to maybe make it to the finale, but due to health issues, didn't.
07:11Let's see what happened.
07:12Oh, God.
07:15I had what I thought was like a pimple in the inside of my nose, and it's getting progressively worse.
07:21I have had skin staff infections twice before, and I'm kind of concerned.
07:26Are you hurting?
07:27I'm not hurting.
07:28I just, the treatment is really hardcore, and I'm afraid I'll have to leave and to do it.
07:34Jack definitely looks a little swollen.
07:37It's kind of scary, you know?
07:39Hey, Dr. Bowen.
07:40Hey, Dr. Bowen.
07:41So, basically, what's going on is I am almost, you know, I'm 95% sure I have a MRSA in my face again.
07:48For me, it is important for people to know that I've been HIV positive for 17 years, but my immune system's not suppressed at all.
07:56So, it wasn't about that.
07:58Anyone can get what I got.
07:59It's a dangerous bacteria.
08:02Obviously, I have some health issues going on.
08:05It's certainly not the way I wanted to go out, but I think I have to go to the hospital.
08:09And I think I need to leave this out.
08:15We have to support your getting better.
08:17I know.
08:19That was probably one of the hardest decisions I've ever made in my life.
08:23It was absolutely heartbreaking.
08:26Jack and I just had a discussion, and I just want Jack to share it with you.
08:31Well, you all know I've had this infection in my face.
08:35I'm just concerned about getting better.
08:39I had so much fun.
08:40I certainly don't want to leave like this, but I just don't feel comfortable being here anymore.
08:46Jack's made the decision to leave.
08:48It was so nice to meet all of you.
08:52Well, I had the best time of my life.
08:54Literally.
08:58It was such an honor.
09:01I didn't know you felt.
09:06I'm crying now.
09:07Are the tissues?
09:08Jack, we all, of course, want to know how you feel now.
09:11It was very serious, and I made the right decision, but shortly thereafter, I was fine.
09:17But you were in the hospital, what, for a week?
09:18Yeah, I was in the hospital for five days.
09:20It was very serious.
09:21As quickly as it came, it kind of healed itself.
09:24But, you know, it's very emotional for me.
09:27Christian, how did that affect all of you?
09:29I just felt really close to Jack.
09:31Having just worked in a team challenge with him where we had such a great time, it just
09:36like, it hit us like a big storm, and it was sad, but I'm glad I get to see him now.
09:41Victoria, you were very upset also, and a little angry.
09:48I'd say I was upset.
09:50I don't, I'd say upset is probably the key operative word for me in regards to that situation.
09:57Victoria's always a bit uptight, no?
09:59Or is it just me?
10:00No, it's not just you.
10:04Do you think about coming back for next season?
10:07I get asked that all the time.
10:09So, actually, the top questions I get are, is Tim that nice, is Heidi that pretty, and are you coming back next season?
10:15I swear to God, that's what everyone asks.
10:16I want to know all three answers to all three questions.
10:20Yes, yes, I don't know.
10:21All right.
10:23The next question is for Maurice.
10:24This was actually texted to us, to the Project Runway Mobile fan club, and he asks,
10:31Kevin, are you sure you're not gay?
10:32Well, um, I've been hanging out with Jack a lot.
10:40I've probably been in every gay bar in the city.
10:43But no, no, I live with my girlfriend.
10:45Everything's kind of cool in there.
10:46I don't know about this.
10:47Are you convinced?
10:49Not entirely.
10:53Because we have so much great footage that we have to look at right now.
11:00Get ready.
11:01I have plenty of quote-unquote girlfriends now.
11:05Kevin, what are you trying to say?
11:07But of my, no, no, you don't, like, it's of different gender.
11:09I don't know, the same gender.
11:11Ah, snap.
11:13You're going to speak blue and gay by the time you leave here.
11:25Is jealous Jack Newdower?
11:27Every morning, Jack's running to the bathroom in his underwear, freezing his ass off, like,
11:36oh my God, I'm so cold.
11:37I'm like, for the love of God, please put some clothes on.
11:40I'm trying so hard on this show not to be gay.
11:43It was too fruity.
11:45It looks fruity.
11:46Fruity?
11:47Jesus, she calls my outfit fruity.
11:49Like, I would not like my husband walking around like that.
11:52If I had to make an outfit for Seal, I would have made the same one, but I made it even more
11:55feminine.
11:56Whoa!
11:57I think Kevin's adorable.
11:59It was really freaking weird, like, sleeping alone last night.
12:02Aw, I can't sleep with you.
12:06Maybe I was gay in my former life.
12:07I have no idea, but, um, I mean, it doesn't bother me.
12:16Wow.
12:18I just have to say, if being on Project Runway didn't turn you gay, nothing will.
12:22No, no.
12:23That's true.
12:24Oh, my God.
12:24Do you want to come sit next to me?
12:25All right, everybody.
12:30Coming up on Project Runway.
12:32Are any of you upset about anything you saw or heard others say about you on the show?
12:38Yes.
12:39Yes.
12:39It was very hurtful.
12:41One of you was able to laugh it off.
12:50Welcome back to Project Runway, season four reunion.
12:53I would like to go to our first question from bravotv.com, and that question is from Molly.
13:00Designers, who do you think will win the fan-favorite competition?
13:04Oh.
13:04Chris.
13:05Chris.
13:05Lovely Chris.
13:07It's between Chris and Christian.
13:09Sweet pea.
13:09I wish.
13:10I want the money.
13:12I voted for Tim.
13:15You know one question I get asked most of the time?
13:18What's that?
13:19Is it really as grueling as it appears on TV?
13:22Oh, God.
13:23Yes.
13:24It's way worse.
13:27It's a tranny mess.
13:29A hot mess.
13:30I haven't made too many bad food.
13:31Christian, tell everybody how it really is.
13:33We work so much.
13:35And we eat Chinese food.
13:37And I mean, girlfriend, that is not cute for everyone.
13:41I thought it was the best diet ever.
13:43Like, I lost like 10 pounds in a week.
13:45Yeah.
13:46I have a very great quote from Kit.
13:48Uh-oh.
13:48My boyfriend put a woman on the plane, and he's going to get back a 13-year-old boy.
13:53When women lose weight, that first 10 pounds, it's here and here.
13:58It's all gone.
14:00Bloop.
14:00Chris, how was it for you?
14:02The weird thing to me was, you know, being a big fan of the show for so long.
14:07It's like all of a sudden, the first day, here's Tim, Heidi, runway, so something, everything.
14:13It's like, I'm on the Project Runway that I've watched for three seasons.
14:18And you don't have time to stop and think about it.
14:21You just keep going and going and going and going and going and going.
14:24And then it's all a big blur.
14:25Mm-hmm.
14:26I know that the long hours and the lack of sleep made all of you feel as though you were
14:30living in a different world, maybe even a different planet.
14:33Yeah.
14:33And there was one of you about whom it was speculated may be from another planet, owing
14:38to your unconventional methods.
14:40Let's take a look.
14:42Elisa is a very intriguing person.
14:46Oh, it's already wet.
14:47I know, I just did a spit mark.
14:49What do you mean?
14:49You spit on it?
14:50Yeah.
14:51What is going on?
14:53Sometimes I spit mark it, which seems to be really disturbing.
14:56What?
14:57And you just go, bing, bing, bing, bing.
14:59Okay, got it.
15:00And then you go, and then you go, okay, great.
15:03And then you sit down and you sew the seam and you sew that seam and you pull it up and
15:07it's a pinata.
15:08Or you pull it up and it's a couture dress.
15:11What planet are you from?
15:13I'm coming to your planet, but with gifts.
15:15I know in this context of Project Runway, they really see me as someone from another planet.
15:22I had a dream last night that I got dropped in it on an alien planet and they were cannibalistic
15:29humanoid.
15:30Elisa, she's just cuckoo.
15:33She writes backwards in her journal.
15:37She's like Mork from Mork and Mindy.
15:38Like a little, like, that's a technical term.
15:44My brain is going.
15:48Elisa is on some happy planet in the galaxy.
15:52I'm not sure of the name.
15:53What do you do to spray on that?
15:57The spells negative energy and rejuvenates and makes people happy.
16:01Keep your brainwaves off me.
16:03I know that no one gets what I do, but that doesn't make what I do not good.
16:09If this, like, spitting in three spots gives you that kind of sleeve, then keep on spitting.
16:15Just don't tell anyone about it.
16:16I mean, you have to say, that was a technique no one has ever heard of before.
16:23You're really blessing.
16:25There's words that go with it.
16:26So when you're marking the fabric, I mean, that's what my clients pay for.
16:28There's a blessing that goes with it.
16:30Apparently, you also write backwards.
16:32I do write backwards.
16:33My idol when I was about 18 was Leonardo da Vinci.
16:36And so I decided to start teaching myself to write backwards so that I could come up with
16:40my writing and my poetry that wasn't so conscious.
16:42And then it just became like a thing that was fun to do.
16:45What's my name backwards?
16:46What does it spell?
16:48Well, I can tell you this is Tik Pak Yawner instead of runway.
16:52It's Yawner.
16:55Aha.
16:56On that note, we have another question for Marissa from Lincoln, Nebraska.
17:01Designers, what has been your favorite challenge this season?
17:05Weight loss.
17:06Kevin, why was your weight loss one the favorite?
17:08Those ladies were great.
17:09I mean, transforming the whole clothing situation on their bodies, making them feel good.
17:14It was really, it was amazing.
17:16And Christian?
17:16I liked the avant-garde challenge.
17:19And I liked the last challenge a lot because it was so inspiring.
17:23Me too.
17:23Yeah.
17:24Well, whether it was a fun challenge or a difficult challenge, the stress and pressure took its
17:30toll on one of you.
17:31And let's have a look.
17:33I'm an emotional person, yes, but I don't cry all that much.
17:39All right, so, Ricky, can you just tell me your full name and your age and where you currently live?
17:45Take a moment.
17:50I'm very emotional, but I can control it.
17:56I love the hair, too, and the makeup.
17:58Just tell me about hair and makeup.
18:02She was telling me what she liked, and we went over to the accessory wall, and...
18:08What's up with you?
18:12This is like a roller coaster.
18:14You don't know where to go.
18:15You don't know if you suck, if you don't suck, and...
18:19Next day out.
18:21I feel like I sucked.
18:22I just feel like, wow, I suck.
18:25I suck so bad.
18:27You really are pushing my buttons.
18:29I'm not trying to push them.
18:30I know, but...
18:33I didn't know this was going to be so emotional.
18:41Sorry I cried.
18:42Okay, Ricky, Alexander from Cleveland, Ohio, has a very obvious question for you.
18:54Why do I cry so much?
18:56And I'm not going to cry.
18:57If you can be really good TV, though.
18:59This whole experience was really emotional for me.
19:01I was discovering who I was as a designer.
19:04You know, I didn't realize I was going to cry like a woman.
19:07Oh!
19:07At some point, I think all of us cried on the show.
19:16At the end of the day, I really don't care what people say, because, you know, so what?
19:21I cry.
19:21I commend you, Ricky.
19:23I mean, it's nice to be able to show your emotions that easily, and I don't think there's
19:26anything negative about it, and I think I see beauty in it.
19:29I just have to say, though, I was so thrilled for you when you won, and you even turned that
19:33into a crying jag.
19:34Like, we have another question via bravotv.com, and it comes from Lucas.
19:41Designers, are any of you upset about anything you saw or heard others say about you on the
19:47show?
19:48Yes.
19:49Yes.
19:50Yes.
19:50It was very hurtful after the challenge.
19:53I felt that I wasn't missed at all.
19:55Sweet Pea said, well, I'm just glad it wasn't me.
19:57And then the other comment was, the kid said, is even if she did finish the outfit, it just
20:01wasn't good enough.
20:02And that was very hard for me, because it means a lot to me what you guys, you know.
20:09Oh, it was not.
20:13You know, it was hard.
20:14It was hard.
20:15You know.
20:16You have to know that you were dearly missed, and it was so hard to have a vacancy.
20:20I mean, especially for Jillian.
20:21I didn't expect you to go that soon either.
20:23We were just, like, enjoying your presence.
20:26And that was the first, like, confusing thing to happen.
20:30Like, we were all getting close, and then all of a sudden, you didn't come home with us
20:34that night.
20:34And I really missed you, and I know that they missed you, too.
20:37And they expressed that to me.
20:38I also think that we know the state of dress that we were all under, and so I give everyone,
20:43like, some license.
20:45I think it's fair to say that regardless of what was said, most of you had a very good
20:48sense of humor about it all, and were able to laugh it off.
20:51And one of you was able to laugh it off.
20:53I think he laughs a little loud on purpose.
21:23I understand.
21:36Sorry.
21:37It is cute if you hear it a couple of times, but if you hear it all day long...
21:41They start to get a little bit painful.
21:48Chris's laugh, in general, is out of control.
22:01Oops.
22:06Laugh us into the break.
22:08Really loud.
22:10Yes, you can.
22:17Coming up on Project Runway.
22:19There was one challenge that broke the poker-faced veneers of our judges.
22:24Oh, okay.
22:26Who had the worst single design?
22:29Oh, wow.
22:30Neen.
22:31Welcome back.
22:36Are you wondering what these two chairs are doing here?
22:39Yes.
22:41Please welcome Nina Garcia and Michael Kors.
22:44Yay.
22:48Good to see you guys.
22:53Hello.
22:53Hey, guys.
22:54As you all know, Heidi and Nina and Michael have judged a lot of challenges over the last
23:01four seasons.
23:02But this season, there was one challenge that broke the poker-faced veneers of our judges.
23:10Let's have a look.
23:11Oh, my.
23:12We were all thinking, what are the judges going to say for this challenge?
23:20What is Nina Garcia going to say about a pink spandex outfit with grindstones on it?
23:25When Ricky's model came out, she was very over the top.
23:30And at the end of her last post, she did like a super sexy move.
23:36Michael Kors just lost it.
23:38It was contagious.
23:43Like, I started laughing.
23:45And Michael Kors could just not stop.
23:48It was like a kid in church.
23:57There's like one too many ridiculous things in this kind of ridiculous runway show.
24:02Michael is losing it.
24:03The laughter, I think we all agree, was probably one of our classic moments.
24:33Being here, it was really unexpected to see Michael Kors crack like that.
24:39the whole thing i just thought was so hysterically funny i don't know
24:59it was a fun challenge though totally but i i've never cracked up this is the first time
25:05oh well while the judges had a difficult time with this challenge you all sought inspiration
25:12from it and tapped into your own personal divas and we're going to have a look at that
25:21the wwe divas were pretty tough but i think that the designers have a really good chance of winning
25:28and a good old-fashioned cat fight my wrestling name is ferocia couture my signature move is hair
25:37spray in the eyes and then i pull a really tight braided ponytail and make the girls bleed
25:42my diva name would be toughy my signature move would be a pirouette into a kick and i would kick
25:48someone right in the face i would kick out of all of those girls if i was a wrestler i'd have to be
25:56wonder woman i suppose my signature move would have to be smothering people with my large breasts
26:05i would be raw malicious my signature move would include a draped piece of fabric that's wrapped
26:12around my arms where i confuse the person i'm fighting with to mislead them and i run around
26:18them and kick them in the back and pin them to the ground my wrestling name is spread eagle my move
26:24is to get people in a headlock with my thighs and break their neck if i was a wrestler i'd probably
26:31call myself like the mexican jumping beat my signature move it would be a little tour with a cake
26:37what would your name be oh my god a diva name yeah um probably polysyllabicus
26:58who do you think is the toughest judge heidi this season you're pretty tough you're pretty
27:02tough this season so you guys think she's gotten tougher yeah look at her face that's so weird i
27:09don't know i don't think of myself like that but i just really say what i think i think it corresponds
27:14to the level of talent you all are so good that it's raised the whole level of conversation i'm just
27:20glad that there's more bad cops this season someone came up to me and they're like you're mina garzilla
27:25and i was like oh that's your wrestling name yeah that's the wrestling name maybe the reason that
27:34you guys think i am tough sometimes is because i try to judge you guys to what i am seeing out in the
27:41market and that is my job but ultimately real fashion people they understand that every designer is
27:47different and they want you to be your best i was up there the most i think but all the information that
27:54was given shown or not shown it was worth it michael we have a question for you sure and it's from
27:59victoria she asks heidi introduces michael as a top american designer but i've never seen him wear
28:06anything but a plain black t-shirt black blazer and blue jeans i can't even imagine how easy it must be
28:13to get ready in the morning that's the point you got the point i mean i have to say that you guys would
28:19absolutely die if you saw a picture of me at 18. i was the most trendy victimiest you cannot even
28:29imagine 20 pairs of leg warmers hair down to here hats with jewels wrap belts i wore shawls diaper pants
28:37i did you name it man i did it okay and then when i started working i was like i don't want to think
28:43about what i'm wearing you know with one extra pair of pants one white shirt one black turtleneck i could
28:49go to the white house and i could go to like a rave but on the other side of the coin i have to say
28:55i would never give up the idea of being young and ridiculous in fashion i loved it um so you know
29:02i say go for it but that's why i stick to my guns excellent heidi yeah we don't have a question for you
29:09just some of your greatest hits uh oh take a look uh as you know in fashion one day you're in
29:18and the next day you're out one day you're in and the next day you're out in this way out that way
29:26i think heidi is great she's very honest it looked to me very home sewn i was thinking britney spears i'm
29:33like okay now we just need the the denim hat it looks slumpy you put too much on your plate you
29:39were really hungry shoved it all on there and couldn't eat it well of course my favorite judge
29:44has to be heidi klum because she is german like me i've been dangling the sausage in front of your
29:52noses all the time now it's going to fashion week who's going to eat the sausage
29:56you're out christian you're crazy you are out hi i have a problem for words sometimes you know
30:12sometimes i'm gasping for the right word it takes a long time until i get to the point but you get
30:17there ah but eventually i get there i hope okay coming up we're going to give you guys the opportunity
30:22to grill us and announce our season four fan favorite we'll be right back coming up on project
30:30runway the winner of our fan favorite competition by a landslide is
30:39welcome back to project runway season four reunion
30:43each season on project runway there are memorable looks some good and some bad we have a question
30:49from martha via bravo tv.com about the bad she writes judges this season who had the worst single
30:58design oh that's mean ouch i know the hardest challenge the hardest challenge was the men's
31:06men's hands down that was hands down trying to make men's clothes look slick and professional
31:12and that much time we weren't riveted to any of them quite frankly yeah we saw jackets with no shirts
31:18under i mean it was really thank you heidi thrown together they were all they were all they were all
31:25very difficult what about the best design or the best challenge my favorite was the hair challenge yeah
31:32mine too first off i think that the quality of work that came out was really best spectacular and then
31:40although i'm sure you guys were ready to slit your wrists when you heard that you had to do the second
31:45version i thought that was the greatest thing in the world because it really showed as a designer
31:51how are you going to turn all of this into a business and it was a great collaboration between
31:56chris and christian i mean they worked great together and it looked effortless yeah which one
32:02you guys think was the worst design maybe my wrestler challenge mine i think that would be the worst
32:09they're all like yeah you're right next question is for tim from jen in this season the judges often
32:19seem to go in a different direction than you might do you ever make your opinions known to the judges
32:24outside of tim's take no i don't um and i have to say i know what happens in the work room i know where
32:31you've been and where you end up with each challenge and i'm nothing if not encumbered by that which is
32:36why i wouldn't be a good judge because i couldn't truly be objective the way that that the three of
32:40you really can be for as much as we would want to find out what's happening i don't want to know in
32:46the work room it it's better that we don't know because we really are judging you without any
32:52no information whatsoever and now is your time to grill us questions for the judges
32:58what do you guys write on the cards like is there like a number system we have a number system yeah
33:07the scores are from one to five five being the highest score i see like write like words like oh
33:12my god are horrible or something i write like my quick visceral like when it comes out i'm like
33:17it was blue it was kind of fabulous hate the skirt whatever it's just writing little notes about your
33:23immediate reaction designers who among you feel that you were sent home before your time me jack
33:30chris but you came back i came back marion what about you for you well for me to be dealt a 15
33:37dollar challenge which is not my forte i do think i should have gone home because i i didn't perform
33:43but it was sort of sad because i am a little more on the avant-garde side
33:47and i did want to show that and i just didn't have the chance to do that and this brings us to
33:54a question from scott via bravo tv.com and he is asking how could you have sent kevin home in the
34:01prom challenge this was the worst decision the judges have ever made wow i thought she just looked
34:08older matronly yeah the entire thing did not styling issues bit issues issues color i mean we're back
34:16here again jesus christ she was like 15 going on 59. my whole prom challenge is almost like everyone
34:23was like off their game and i'm like i couldn't have squeaked by on this one what's your next question
34:29over there my next question was actually to christian because did you think that you were going in that
34:33moment too uh yeah it was really ugly what do you think kevin do you think that he should have gone
34:41instead i was looking at it like this kid's way too good he's got so much more to show if if you guys
34:47had asked me in that moment whether it should have been him or i i should i would have said i'll go
34:51because i mean i want to see what he's capable of i love you no i'm serious my whole thing was yes i mean
34:57i probably wouldn't have wanted to go home but i had a really tough situation i actually would have
35:04loved to have his model you know because she was cooperative and friendly and fabulous and my girl
35:10wasn't i've got to tell you between the two of them i at least felt that you had put a lot of work in
35:15it and yours the work wasn't there no definitely rami do you have some advice to future project runway
35:22designers i would say to anybody who's considering doing the show it's not as easy as you think um
35:29but i think one thing for sure it's not just to be seen i really think you really need to love what
35:35you do and have a passion for what you do can i add though that it's in addition to the work that
35:40you produce and how that's judged and evaluated it's also your qualities of character are being judged
35:45and evaluated in terms of how you handle situations i think for probably all of us it's a difference of
35:51being who we are on television and then going out in the real world and being who we are for real
35:57what does that mean what we do here doesn't necessarily apply to who we are and what we do
36:02in the real world did the rest of you feel the same thing like you weren't being real on the show
36:06we are being ourselves but it's under a different environment it's under different constraints you are
36:11putting all these creative people together you're putting them in a petri dish they're isolated they're
36:16working under unusual circumstances and then they're asked to produce amazing things and that's
36:21something that i think that people coming into the show need to be prepared for people who haven't
36:26gone through the process they have no idea this is just showtime times a thousand unfortunately we
36:33don't have much time left anymore but we have to unveil the winner of our fan favorite competition
36:39sponsored by bluefly.com and the winner by a landslide is
36:46do you know what is him yes who is it then it is christian
36:53is
37:08to bring out your check oh who is it
37:10oh my god
37:16it's michael knight hello
37:24hi michael's passing the baton because you won the ten thousand dollars last year
37:29congratulations thank you very much yes they were just talking about how you need money i know i'm
37:33so poor i have a big check right thrilling we're gonna share it cocktails for everyone well not
37:41everyone up in here michael what did you do with your ten thousand dollars i actually just invested
37:47it into my um my business i'm actually in the process of releasing my very first fragrance
37:54awesome congratulations good for you oh dude tonight i'm wearing it now that sounds good i was like
37:59oh michael knight yeah and i would have to agree that um you are fierce and we're going to see why
38:11i'm kind of a big deal because i'm kind of fierce and i'm kind of a celebrity in my own head
38:18i'm like kind of a celebrity i'm a really big deal and i'm like almost a legend do you think my hair
38:26do you think my hair looks fine i love a crazy hairstyle because i can't picture myself with anything else
38:33i wash my hair every morning and i have to blow it dry
38:39i flat iron the entire flawlessness and i create this little like shape you know this is party and this
38:46is business and this is the money maker so that's how it works my hair actually is looking fierce
38:51today it was fierce it was pretty fierce how many times do i say fierce in one day it's gonna be fierce
38:59fierce fierce fierce really fierce more fierce fierce fierce fierce fierce fierce fabulous and flawless
39:07all the above oh god even tim is starting to use it as a descriptive word i think it's fierce
39:13it's fierce it really is it's so fierce to hear the word fierce one more time so fierce that squeaky
39:23little voice could just be like nails on a chalkboard that's fierce oh god i'm not saying it one more time
39:35on the entire show i would like to thank nina garcia for coming also michael kors and you michael knight
39:43thank you stay tuned because when we come back we're going to discuss which one of these four
39:47designers have what it takes to win project runway coming up on project runway i would like to hear your
39:55prediction who you think will be the winner of project runway the last four are all incredibly talented
40:00people it's really anyone's game at this welcome back so now that we are without our final four i
40:09would like to hear your prediction who you think will be the winner of project runway i'll say rami
40:14i just think he'll come up with a something that's a little ready to wear and also his experience i think
40:20will help him i think it's really anyone's game at this point you know of course christian has a lot of
40:26new and fresh ideas and yet at the same time you've also got jillian who also puts just delightful
40:32little pieces out there consistently carmen what do you think i love christian and i love jillian i love
40:37them both but i just think that america would be a little more ready for what rami would have to
40:42present i i think that the last four are all incredibly talented people you have jillian who just as
40:48steven said you know just these delightful very sort of i could wear that i mean if i'm thinking i can
40:53wear jillian then i think that's a really great leap and then what chris did from the first challenge
40:58to what he's done so it's going to be really hard for you guys to decide kit i also am most excited
41:04to see jillian she always has a new surprise every challenge and she grows i agree i think she's
41:10exciting victoria what do you think christian why i think i believe most in his talent i think he is
41:16the one designer with the most talent kevin christian or uh jillian marion what are your thoughts
41:24i believe it's going to be rami i think he is going to do something different than what he's
41:28done in the past but also incorporate what he does now jack who do you think will win i mean for me
41:35it's like rami's known as a great technician and obviously we've seen that chris marsh can do amazing
41:40things you can see from his portfolio he's got this crazy talent you never know it's anyone's game
41:45well heidi i don't envy you and michael and nina and our guest judge because having seen the
41:49collections i wouldn't want to have to i know it's going to be very very hard but i honestly i cannot
41:55wait it's been such a long time and it's been so amazing but we'll find out who will be out
42:00and who will be the winner of project runway and until then next on project runway for your next challenge
42:14you'll be creating a collection of 12 looks for fashion week all i can see is winning
42:24i just feel like i want you to pull it back a bit so here's the most probably provocative
42:29thing that i have going on in my collection my gag reflex is kicking in
42:34are you gonna be nice to me are you gonna be nice to me christian that's really arrogant and if
42:43someone pisses me off i'm gonna let them know rami and chris as you know only one of you will be
42:49moving forward sorry i'm just feel like i'm all over the place i'm hoping for the best but i really don't
42:55know great on you the whole idea of actually making it to bryant park is like could this really happen
43:03who is this woman that you're dressing the dress at the end it's really unflattering
43:10chris rami one of you will be out visit bravo tv.com to learn more about the fashions you've seen on
43:18today's show
