Police in Lucknow recovered 20 kg of suspected beef from a black Mahindra Thar parked at the multi-level parking in Hazratganj on September 2. The vehicle, without a registration number, belonged to Mohammad Wasif, who was present at the spot and arrested immediately.  Sub-inspector Shivani Singh led the operation. Police sealed the car, registered a case under the UP Prevention of Cow Slaughter Act, and sent the seized meat for laboratory testing.
