A youth named Sitaram was beaten to death in Jahaspur, Bilwara on Friday following a car collision with a vegetable cart near Takya Masjid. The incident occurred around 6 pm when Sitaram and three others from Tonk arrived in Jahaspur. Despite apologising and offering compensation for spilling onions, a mob attacked Sitaram, resulting in his death. The incident has sparked communal tension in the area, leading to market closures and heavy police deployment. One accused has been arrested, and another detained as police investigate the case. Jahaspur MLA Gopichand Meena visited the hospital and demanded strict action. The police are working to maintain peace and conduct a thorough investigation.
