00:24President Ferdinand R. Marcus Jr. has newly appointed Public Works and Highways Secretary Vince Dizon to clean up the Department of Public Works and Highways, or DPWH, amid controversies over anomalous flood control projects.
00:40After taking his oath of office, Dizon announced a series of reforms, including the immediate call for courtesy resignations from DPWH undersecretaries, assistant secretaries, division heads, regional directors, and district engineers.
00:55The reforms follow revelations of alleged tongpats or kickbacks involving DPWH officials linked to failed and fictitious flood control projects.
