00:00hi viewers welcome to truth and trends deepak last week my cousin told me to eat amla daily
00:14he said it's the fruit of immortality honestly even ads call it miracle fruit
00:21ah yes amla one of india's most hyped superfoods people believe it boosts immunity
00:27sharpens eyesight prevents hair fall even reverses aging let's test those claims today
00:34i heard ayurveda calls amla rasayana meaning anti-aging that's why many eat amla murabha
00:41or chavan prash true culturally it was seen as divine but back then people didn't know vitamin c
00:49or antioxidants so they gave it spiritual importance that made it more believable as
00:55magical but deepak amla has lots of vitamin c right isn't that enough proof it's a superfood yes
01:02it's rich in vitamin c but not unique oranges guavas and even capsicum have plenty and cooking
01:10or storing amla destroys most of that vitamin c anyway so the superpower often gets lost in reality
01:18then why do so many doctors and ads push amla juice for immunity marketing amla has antioxidants
01:25and mild benefits but no solid proof it prevents cancer hair fall or aging the hype is bigger than
01:33the evidence if you eat it as a fruit fine healthy but don't treat it as a magic pill at least it's safe
01:41right i mean what harm can a fruit do in moderation safe but too much amla can cause acidity worsen kidney
01:49issues or interfere with some medicines and sugary amla candies definitely not healthy pregnant women
01:58and kids eating too much is not advisable so basically amla is healthy but not divine medicine
02:03exactly respect it as food not worship it as cure all dear viewers this is why scientific temper matters
02:12question claims ask where's the proof before believing right so friends do you think amla deserves its superfood crown
