00:18He said Muwar had traditionally been regarded as an UMNO seat and there could be voter dissatisfaction

00:22if PH were to field a candidate.

00:25However, James Chin of the University of Tasmania argues that PKR is well-positioned to win

00:30Muwar if it contests against Saeed Sadiq, pointing out that his previous success came from PKR's

00:35support base.

00:36Chin said Saeed Sadiq's support base was not as secure as it seemed given the substantial

00:40number of Chinese voters in Muwar who would vote for PKR and DAP.

00:45He also said Muda would struggle to remain relevant in a three-cornered fight, saying

00:49the contest will basically be PKR versus Pricata Nacional.

00:53The Ohor PKR had recently announced its intention to contest the Muwar, Paghoh, and Mersing

00:57parliamentary seats, with state PKR chief Dr. Zaliha Mustafa singling out Muwar as a seat

01:03with high winning potential.

01:04She said PKR was confident of securing support from voters.

01:07Saeed Sadiq won in Muwar in 2018 on a PKR ticket while still a member of Persatou.
