00:00Get used to the car and how it has been weathered through the course of the opening half an hour or so.
00:06So because of that, you have to spend five extra seconds in the pit lane.
00:10All cars to drive through the grid boxes.
00:14Two parallel lines for the start, please.
00:17So here we go. Bright and early, five past nine at Spa-Francorchamps.
00:21One hour of Ligier European Series racing about to burst into life.
00:25A cracking result yesterday for the 18 car in JS2R for the 22 Loire Van.
00:31Oh, but there's problems on the main straight as one or two didn't get away well at all.
00:37And there's a pile up accounting for one, two, three, maybe four cars.
00:41Now a spin for the repair number six.
00:43And another car goes into the gravel as a result.
00:46Roman Bacler's ahead of all of this, though.
00:48And the sixth car, which was leading the championship, still is leading the championship by a much smaller margin coming into Sunday.
00:55gets away with Max Dodd still at the wheel.
00:58But he's lost a handful of places in the process.
01:01It happened right in front of our commentary position.
01:04And I noticed that mid-pack, one or two cars just did not or could not pick up the pace.
01:08We're straight into a safety car.
01:09That's not a massive surprise.
01:11Because looking out to the right-hand side of our commentary box, I can see one, two cars not going to go any further.
01:18It did seem to me, Johnny, has one of the cars, one of the JSP4s bogged down and was collected from the rear initially by another of the JSP4s.
01:2633 cars involved.
01:2719, the trajectory's car is in the gravel at Lecombe.
01:30And the 60 car in trouble right at the start.
01:33Let's watch again what happens here.
01:35Look to the right.
01:36It was the second row.
01:39It was the 33 car.
01:40It was then collected.
01:42Well, actually, it was almost avoided by the JSP4s, then collected by one of the JSP4s.
01:48It was almost as if Christian Brooks got on the brakes because he realized he was getting far too close.
01:52But that's a huge wallop into the back of Mateo Pianetzola's car.
01:57Then Matisse Poulet and the 19 car tangled with Maxwell Dodds.
02:02And the sixth car almost got away with it, but then was clattered by this car.
02:0717, 17, started by Miguel Angel Romero.
02:13So, at the moment, that is basically bodywork only.
02:18But there will be also some front and damage to the sixth car because that car, I think, ran over the top of it.
02:23It's the 83 and the 33.
02:25So, the 33 clearly is damaged.
02:30Serious damage, though, to the 83 car.
02:32I think clattered the rear of, I think, this car, the 60.
02:37So, it's Christian Brooks who did the second stint yesterday.
02:40Christopher Preen opened things up on Saturday.
02:44And now Christopher's not going to get a drive.
02:47But Christian Brooks, whether he thought he was a bit too close to the car immediately ahead of him on the grid,
02:52which was Matisse Poulet in number 19.
02:55But there was just a big cloud of brake.
02:58Yeah.
02:58A big cloud of tire smoke, in fact.
03:01So, that was him checking up.
03:02Was it?
03:03And then the ripple effect.
03:04I wonder if it was him checking up or was it the car behind him trying to avoid?
03:08Which he did, initially, before he was collected by the JS2R.
03:12I wonder if the smoke we saw came from Christian's car or from the 60 car behind him.
03:18Yeah, possibly.
03:19So, that was Matteo Pianazzola, who has had a terrible day or terrible weekend at Spa-Francorchamps because he's been involved now in two separate incidents.
03:27One of his own making in the wet as he was trying to generate tire temperature on Saturday afternoon and nosed into the barrier.
03:34was told to pit to repair that damage and then they didn't have the spares in order to do that.
03:40Remember that the repair work, it's not really as part of a schedule in a mini endurance race like this,
03:46but it all has to be done in the endurance pit lane and there's very little space there.
03:50Everyone's going to be threaded through, actually, the Grand Prix pit lane because that is the safer option with so much debris out on the racetrack.
03:57There's a couple of cars that need to be recovered as well and flatbeds on the scene.
04:01But remember, this is all counting towards the race distance because the race clock began ticking down at exactly five past nine.
04:10Remember, too, if you're following this race with the aid of online timing and scoring, these will count as a pit stop, even though they're not stopping.
04:17Well, most of them won't.
04:18So, at the moment, we have the number 60 car in pit lane undergoing attention.
04:23The 19, the 33 and the 83 stationary.
04:26And as we saw, it was the, which car was it, the 84, no, it wasn't, it was the 17 car, wasn't it, in trouble as well.
04:35Watch again.
04:36So, Christian Brooks in that teal and black car, was that the car to lock up or was it the one immediately behind?
04:43I think the smoke comes from Christian's car.
04:45I think you're right.
04:45And then Pianna Zola has nowhere to go.
04:48Well, he actually reacted fairly well.
04:50He did.
04:50It was the 83 then into the back, which is Martin Lacquaman, who collided with Pianna Zola and pushed him into Christian Brooks.
04:58But, in fairness, I think Lacquaman was completely unsighted by it all.
05:02Then there was the secondary moment, which was Maxwell Dodds tangling with Matisse Poulet.
05:08Poulet ended up in the gravel, is running again.
