00:07it's a 15 minute race, it's Barnaby Brewer and Dara McInerney

00:12revs rise, off they go, it's a staggered start
00:15so we don't normally get quite as much side-by-side action into the first turn
00:19and indeed Barnaby Brewer is able by the looks of it
00:22to convert pole position into the early lead
00:24having said there's no side-by-side action
00:26there we have Hayden Gray going to the outside of Luke Broadbent
00:29who was a little bit slow off the line by the looks of it
00:31Brewer with the advantage though, it is McInerney second
00:34and then Islin trying to fend off Neil Hampson for third
00:37but Hampson in the white VPC car is up the inside, he's sideways
00:42he's not the only one, Lewis Turkington with a huge slide on gold tyres
00:45and a couple further back as well
00:47and one pointing almost the wrong way
00:48somehow there Richard, they're all still going
00:50yeah thankfully they do, some good recoveries there

00:54he's a driver who's slowly improving

00:58getting better and better, quietly going about the job
01:00of impressing here, so is Hampson, he was great yesterday
01:03thankfully he got an interview, he finished fourth
01:05there was a little bit of confusion wasn't he yesterday
01:07with the red flag and going back a lot
01:08but we managed to have a chat with him
01:10and that's going to be an immediate red flag
01:13unfortunately with some cars involved
01:15Daniel Hartley involved there as well
01:17and so Barnaby Brewer
01:19that'll be a red won't it actually
01:20rather than a safety car
01:22so the cars will form up on the grid
01:26and lengthy recovery probably
01:28to get everybody back
01:30Barnaby Brewer, it looked like the car
01:31was bogging down a wee bit
01:34but he seemed to overcome it quite well
01:35I'm giving him the benefit of the doubt
01:37rather than saying he was having the problem off the start
01:39but yeah he launched quite well
01:40and I was expecting Dara McInerney
01:42to get away with that one
01:44there's Lewis Islin in the 12 car
01:46previous scholarship winner of course
01:48he won it and had last year
01:50last year's one
01:51I mentioned that he was at the
01:53motorsports school
01:54when I took my son down
01:55to get his arts course a while ago
01:56and he was work experiencing there
01:59but yeah Neil Hampson yesterday
02:00really impressive
02:01I'm so glad we got a chance to chat to him
02:03even though it was not only fourth place
02:05but by far and away his best result
02:07and he just seemed to click with Silverstone National
02:10which was so really lovely to see
02:12and great to get the chance to talk to him

02:14the fifth car in the group that we can see
02:17the only driver I think to my knowledge
02:18to have won in genetic
