00:00Welcome to the special edition of Hannity.
00:04I'm Kellyanne Conway, in for Sean.
00:07And tonight, we are learning more disturbing details
00:09about the trans-Minneapolis church shooter.
00:12According to authorities, the shooter was obsessed
00:15with mass shootings and killing children.
00:18We are also learning that the shooter's mother
00:20has hired a criminal defense attorney,
00:22and she was initially refusing to talk to the police.
00:25Here now with the very latest, our very own Alex Hoff.
00:28Alex?
00:29Kellyanne, thank you.
00:30Yeah, police had said that they initially had a hard time
00:33making contact with the shooter's mother,
00:35but said they have now spoken with her.
00:37And we are learning that the shooter, born Robert Westman,
00:40had not been recently living with family.
00:42Fox News has obtained the search warrant for the shooter's home,
00:45which reveals that the 23-year-old,
00:46who is a teen, transitioned to identify as a female,
00:50recently broke up with a significant and or romantic partner
00:53and had been recently staying with a friend.
00:56Investigators now pouring through disturbing writings
00:58online videos that they believe are part of the shooter's plot history.
01:02Minneapolis police chief said that the suspect did have a fascination
01:06with mass shootings, but that there was no mental health diagnosis
01:09or history that police had been made aware of.
01:12Now, the suspect did attend Annunciation Catholic Church's attached school
01:16through the eighth grade.
01:17That is where memorials grow for the two children killed in the attack.
01:21Eight-year-old Fletcher Markle, he's remembered for his love of fishing,
01:25for playing sports and cooking.
01:27The family of 10-year-old Harper Moisky says that she loved to help her neighbors
01:30and build fairy gardens with her little sister.
01:34Now, Wednesday's attack is being investigated as an act of domestic terrorism and hate crime.
01:39And FBI data shows that these hate crimes with religious motivations
01:42have been steadily growing over the past several years.
01:45And Minnesota Governor Tim Walz, he's announced he has deployed state law enforcement
01:49to support public safety efforts around schools and places of worship
01:53because they're under attack, and there's always that concern
01:55after something like this that there will be a copycat.
01:59Alex, lies are shattered. Loved ones are lost.
02:01We have the pictures, of course, of little Harper and little Fletcher on the screen,
02:05and our hearts and prayers go out to those families.
02:07Do you think any other family member could be charged based on what we know so far?
02:10Yeah, it's an interesting question, and liability is always an interesting discussion
02:14following something like this.
02:15This was an adult that carried out this attack, according to police.
02:19But there was also this really large arsenal that has been shown in these videos and photos online.
02:24So who knew about that? Were there signs that were missed?
02:27That's always the question after these attacks.
02:29But the idea of liability, there are very limited scenarios
02:32where really another adult can be charged with another's crime.
02:36Well, we at Fox News will stay on top of this.
02:38Alex Hopf, thank you very much.
02:39Former President Obama is now the latest Democrat to come out
02:43against keeping Americans safe in crime-ridden cities,
02:47calling President Trump's efforts to crack down on crime a, quote,
02:50dangerous trend.
02:52But Obama's misguided comments come as President Trump's efforts are showing real results.
02:57Attorney General Pam Bondi touted another 86 arrests made,
03:01including that of one suspected Trendy Aragua gang member.
03:04FBI Director Kash Patel also posted on X, saying in addition, there were eight drug seizures made,
03:12adding, quote, lives being saved every day now.
03:16And earlier today, House Speaker Mike Johnson said a comprehensive crime bill
03:21in the Congress is a real possibility.
03:23Take a look.
03:24Is this a real possibility?
03:26And what would the broad parameters include?
03:29It is a very real possibility.
03:31We cannot allow crime to destroy our great American cities,
03:34and it begins with the nation's capital.
03:35President's instincts are exactly right.
03:37We're working together.
03:38We're going to be bringing legislation to the floor in the next few weeks
03:41to address that issue first, that city,
03:44to deal with juvenile crime in the way that that's been,
03:47and to talk about these restrictive policing policies
03:50that have prevented law enforcement
03:52from maintaining the safety on the streets
03:54for residents and visitors.
03:56So there'll be a lot coming forward.
03:58Do you think that you can get a bill to pass
04:00that would provide more funding
04:01to continue the National Guard presence in D.C.?
04:03Listen, I'm all for it.
04:05I told the president yesterday morning, we talked about this,
04:07and I said, we will give you the resources
04:09and the authority necessary to complete this job
04:11because it is wildly popular.
04:14Here with Reaction, author of the new book,
04:16One Nation, Always Under God,
04:18South Carolina Senator Tim Scott.
04:21Senator Scott, you have stated in the past
04:24that the lack of enforcement of our laws,
04:26the recidivism rates, the coddling of the criminals,
04:29it really hurts those who are in the most vulnerable communities.
04:32I live in the heart of Washington, D.C., sir, year-round,
04:36and I see that it's the white, rich, liberal people
04:39protesting this.
04:40It's the folks who are affected by crime and homelessness
04:43and the rest.
04:44They are saying thank you.
04:46Please make sense of this for us.
04:48Absolutely.
04:50Well, Kellyanne, you could just hit the nail on the head.
04:53We should stop and celebrate
04:54and thank President Donald J. Trump
04:57for delivering safety and security
05:00to the most vulnerable citizens
05:02in all of Washington, D.C.
05:04Even the mayor has had to concede
05:06that his efforts are effective.
05:09This is a great day, just like you.
05:11When I'm in D.C., there was literally,
05:13the place where I stay,
05:14there was literally a carjacking of a congressmember
05:18just a few months ago.
05:20President Trump is delivering.
05:22But more importantly, Kellyanne,
05:24Los Angeles, Detroit, Chicago,
05:26those residents, they want safety and security, too.
05:30We should make it easier for President Trump
05:33to enforce the laws of this country
05:34and keep the most vulnerable citizens safe and secure.
05:40Peace of mind coming your way.
05:42Thank you, President Trump.
05:44There's no doubt about it,
05:45and I know so many people are grateful,
05:47and so many people in other cities,
05:48Senator Scott, like Boston, like Chicago,
05:51are waiting for the National Guard to come
05:53despite what their mayors and governors say.
05:55Senator Scott, I read,
05:57I've learned that you and at least 21 or 22
05:59of your other colleagues in the Senate
06:01are thinking about something similar
06:03to what Speaker Johnson said earlier
06:05on America's Newsroom,
06:07that there could be a comprehensive crime bill
06:09in the Congress.
06:11Some people say, no, no,
06:12crime is a local or a state issue.
06:14Tell America why and how the federal government
06:16does have a role in this.
06:20Well, President Trump did it during his first term.
06:23He provided actual criminal justice reform
06:26in his first term,
06:27focusing on reducing the recidivism rate.
06:30Number two, why not bring safety and security
06:33and prevent crime?
06:34Not make it easier for those who are returning
06:37from incarceration to have better lives
06:39and safer communities.
06:41Why not prevent crime?
06:43Having a bill that provides more resources
06:46and more authority to President Trump
06:48and, frankly, to the federal government
06:49to enforce the laws of our country,
06:52that's a good thing.
06:52Having grown up in poverty
06:55in a single-parent household,
06:57my neighbors would have loved
06:59to have security and safety
07:02as you walk to school for our senior citizens
07:05as they come home from the grocery store.
07:07This is a blessing to have legislation
07:10that would make it easier
07:12for a grandmother to not be locked in her house
07:15for the time the sun goes down
07:17until it comes back up.
07:18It's good news for most of America.
07:20And, Senator Tim Scott,
07:22to your point,
07:2281% of Americans told pollsters recently
07:26they believe crime is a big, serious issue.
07:29Why is former president
07:31and frequent golfer Barack Obama
07:33on the other side of this 80-20 issue?
07:35This makes no sense to me.
07:36And let me just say,
07:37it must be great to live in Martha's Vineyard,
07:39which has very little crime,
07:41maybe if you don't pick up the canine discharge
07:43as you're walking your dog.
07:45I mean, this is really arrogant and elitist.
07:47How do you explain this?
07:49Yeah.
07:50You can't explain it.
07:51The only explanation, Kellyanne,
07:52is the Trump derangement syndrome is real.
07:55When I was growing up,
07:56North Charleston, South Carolina,
07:58was one of the hardest-hit areas of crime
08:01in the nation.
08:02In my young 20s,
08:03it was number seven or number eight in the country.
08:06The truth is,
08:07when we see relief coming,
08:08we all celebrate President Obama,
08:11maybe he's jealous,
08:12maybe it's the Trump derangement syndrome.
08:14At the end of the day,
08:16can't we just thank the good Lord
08:17we have a president who cares about all Americans?
08:20Whether you vote for him or not,
08:21we've got to look at D.C. and say,
08:23one thing is clear.
08:25The poorest citizens are safer
08:27and more secure in their places
08:29that they call home.
08:31That's great news for America.
08:33Amen, Senator Scott.
08:34The data, the metrics speak for themselves
08:36and the people are speaking up for themselves.
08:38Senator Tim Scott,
08:39you believe in keeping the criminals behind bars
08:42and unlocking these kids' potential in these schools.
08:44Thank you so much for being a leader
08:46on these school choice efforts as well.
08:49God bless you.
08:50They're connected.
08:51God bless you.
08:53President Trump is also working
08:54to make sure criminal illegal aliens
08:57aren't roaming our country streets.
08:59His efforts come as the left's new hero,
09:02not-so-Maryland dad,
09:03Kilmar Abrego-Garcia,
09:05is now asking for a gag order
09:07on Attorney General Pam Bondi
09:09and DHS Secretary Kristi Noem.
09:12Will this hold up?
09:13Here to weigh in on that,
09:14Fox News legal analyst Greg Jarrett.
09:17I mean, the people on the left,
09:18including this guy,
09:19this illegal alien,
09:21always want to silence the women on the right.
09:23A gag order against the Attorney General
09:25and the DHS Secretary?
09:27For what, Greg?
09:28Will he have his way?
09:30Well, you'll note, Kellyanne,
09:32that the defense isn't demanding
09:34to gag the president.
09:36That would be a bridge too far.
09:38But, you know,
09:39they do want to silence
09:40the Attorney General,
09:41DHS Secretary,
09:43and everybody underneath them
09:45claiming their remarks
09:46jeopardize a fair trial.
09:48I got news for them.
09:49It's too late for that.
09:51You'd also have to gag
09:52just about all the top officials
09:53at every federal agency involved,
09:56not to mention all the members of Congress
09:58and other public officials nationwide
10:01have been so vocal
10:02in what is a politically charged,
10:04polarizing case.
10:06And besides,
10:07the accusations are already widely reported.
10:10And what are you going to do?
10:11Gag the media as well?
10:12The Supreme Court has called that
10:14an intolerable prior restraint.
10:17And remember,
10:17the flip side here is
10:18there are plenty of sympathetic narratives
10:21out there,
10:22well-publicized,
10:23from the mainstream media,
10:24from Democrats,
10:26that tend to equalize
10:28any of the negatives.
10:30Not that judges pay any attention to that.
10:32I've rarely encountered a judge
10:33who doesn't love to impose
10:35a gag order
10:36by ignoring the inherent violation
10:39of the First Amendment.
10:40You know,
10:41the right to comment
10:42on matters of public concern,
10:44that's a fundamental right.
10:45So, you know,
10:46we'll see where this heads.
10:48Well, we have our
10:49chief legal analyst with us.
10:50I've got to address
10:51tonight's breaking news, Greg.
10:53Of course,
10:54the decision by the appellate court
10:56here in D.C.
10:57to strike down
10:58President Trump's tariff authority,
11:00both the reciprocal tariffs
11:01on other countries,
11:02but also these trafficking tariffs
11:04on China, on Mexico,
11:05on Canada,
11:06to stop the flow of fentanyl.
11:08This probably will go
11:08to the Supreme Court.
11:10How do you read today's decision
11:11and what can we hope for
11:12as it goes up to the Supremes?
11:13Yeah, Kellyanne, you're right.
11:17I mean, Trump will probably
11:19appeal to the Supreme Court,
11:21but I wouldn't hit the panic button yet.
11:23There are other legal authorities
11:25under several different trade laws
11:27that Trump could invoke
11:29or to maintain or reimpose
11:32these tariffs,
11:33including the Smoot-Hawley Act.
11:35So, even if he were to appeal
11:38and lose in the high court,
11:40you know, his tariffs
11:41don't necessarily vanish.
11:44At issue is here, you know,
11:45was Trump right to invoke
11:47the emergency powers
11:48under a 1977 law?
11:50And clearly, at the time,
11:52Congress did cede
11:53significant authority
11:55to the president
11:56to impose import fees
11:57and tariffs.
11:58So, the question is,
11:59was this an emergency
12:01under the meaning of the law?
12:03And the dissenting judgment said,
12:05yeah.
12:06The judges said,
12:08yes, it was an emergency,
12:10especially given all the
12:12staggering trade deficits
12:13and punitive tariffs
12:15that damaged our budget
12:17and economy.
12:18So, I do think the president
12:20on appeal has a legitimate argument
12:22that he exercised his powers lawfully,
12:26but it'll ultimately,
12:27as you point out,
12:28not kill in,
12:28be up to the Supreme Court.
12:30And just staying with this,
12:32the exercise of
12:33constitutional authority
12:34for the executive
12:35on a number of these cases.
12:37Greg, I'm curious
12:38if you have a take on
12:39what the president is doing
12:40with Lisa Cook
12:41at the Federal Reserve.
12:43Basically saying
12:44it's for a cause.
12:45This is the Federal Reserve
12:45Act of 1913.
12:47The president has
12:47very broad authority.
12:49There was a hearing today
12:50here in Washington, D.C.
12:52with Ms. Cook.
12:53How do you see that?
12:56Well, the president,
12:57the president has the right inherent
12:59in Article 2 of the Constitution
13:02to fire people
13:04in the executive branch.
13:05That has been repeatedly upheld.
13:08As for any of the governors
13:10on the Federal Reserve,
13:12the Central Bank,
13:14under the law,
13:15they can be fired for cause.
13:17Well, what is that?
13:19Cause is gross negligence,
13:21gross misconduct, malfeasance.
13:23Gee, I would say that dishonesty
13:27in cheating on mortgage loans
13:30to get lower rates,
13:32which is essentially, you know,
13:34defrauding the government,
13:35the IRS.
13:37Yeah, that constitutes dishonesty.
13:40And the law doesn't say
13:42that you have to be convicted first.
13:45If the president feels
13:46there's compelling evidence
13:48of rank dishonesty,
13:50he arguably has a duty
13:52to remove that individual.
13:55So, you know,
13:56I wouldn't expect Trump
13:57to win at the federal
13:59district court level
14:01because we know
14:02how that generally goes.
14:04But in the higher courts,
14:05he's on solid ground, Kelly Ann.
14:08Agreed.
14:08And we'll all be watching.
14:09They couldn't stop him
14:10at the ballot box.
14:11They keep trying to stop him
14:12at the courthouse.
14:13Greg Jarrett, thank you very much.
14:15Yeah, you're right.
14:16And tonight,
14:17according to one report,
14:18President Trump is preparing
14:20major immigration enforcement
14:21operations next week
14:22in Chicago
14:23while floating plans
14:25to use a naval base
14:26in the area
14:27to aid federal operations.
14:29This comes as President Trump
14:30continues to deliver
14:31on his promises.
14:33Since he took office,
14:35ICE has deported
14:36nearly 200,000 people,
14:39making them on pace
14:40for the highest level
14:41in a decade.
14:42And border czar
14:43Tom Homan this morning
14:44said the Trump administration
14:45has now located
14:46over 23,000
14:49unaccompanied children
14:50that were just lost
14:51under the Biden administration.
14:54Watch.
14:55Out of the 300,000
14:56children,
14:57I looked at the numbers
14:58just yesterday,
15:00we've located
15:01over 23,000 of them.
15:03So 23,000 locations
15:05of the 300,000.
15:06When President Trump's
15:07committed,
15:08we're not going to stop
15:09until we find every one of them
15:10or at least, you know,
15:11run every lead down
15:12one of those 300,000 children.
15:14That's a big,
15:15that's a big plus
15:16for the administration
15:17because the last administration
15:18wasn't even looking for them.
15:20So, but as far as what's Chicago,
15:22Chicago is coming along
15:23with every other sanctuary city.
15:25President Trump is committed
15:26that we're going to focus
15:28and prioritize sanctuary cities
15:30because that is where the problem is.
15:32We know for a fact
15:33they're releasing public safety threats
15:35to the streets every day
15:37rather than handing them
15:38over to ICE
15:39so we can deport them.
15:41Amazing.
15:42More examples of heinous crimes
15:44committed by illegals
15:45are coming to light.
15:46The DHS announced
15:47the arrest of a pedophile illegal
15:49living in a daycare
15:51while Secretary Noem
15:53announced the deportation
15:55of a Mexican national
15:56child sex offender.
15:58The Democrats are against this?
16:00Meanwhile,
16:01the Trump administration
16:02is blocking citizenship
16:03for illegal immigrant voters.
16:05Here with reaction to all of it,
16:07former acting DHS Secretary
16:09Chad Wolf.
16:11Chad, every time I speak
16:13with you privately
16:14or publicly in a forum like this,
16:15we just are amazed
16:16at the statistics.
16:17They keep piling up.
16:19I want to focus
16:19on the 23,000 missing children
16:23of the 300,000 or so
16:24missing children
16:25under the Biden administration
16:26that Tom Holman,
16:27our border czar,
16:28has said they have found.
16:30Tell America how that works.
16:31How do you find
16:32these missing children?
16:33How did they go missing
16:34by Biden who himself
16:35was missing in action?
16:39Yeah, well,
16:39thanks for having me on, Kelly.
16:40And look,
16:41I think this is one of the
16:42most underreported stories
16:43over the last several years.
16:44Not only what the Biden
16:46administration did,
16:47which is losing or losing
16:48track of over 300,000 children,
16:50but all the efforts
16:51that the Trump administration
16:52is trying to do to recover
16:54these children,
16:55to understand where they are,
16:57to make sure they're not
16:57in the hands of traffickers,
16:59human smugglers, and the like.
17:01And so it's a very difficult
17:02process that Tom Holman
17:04and the team is laying out at DHS.
17:06It's a lot of investigatory work
17:08to try to understand where
17:10are those sponsors that picked
17:11up those children and where
17:12are those children actually been.
17:14But this is a larger point.
17:16This is what happens when you
17:17open the border for four years
17:19and you allow over 500,000
17:21children to come across that
17:23border and then release them to
17:24sponsors you know very little
17:26about.
17:26You don't follow up with them
17:28and you don't understand where
17:29they're going.
17:30And you don't have the interest
17:31of these children,
17:33some of our most vulnerable,
17:34obviously, children in mind.
17:37This is what happens.
17:38And so the best thing that you
17:40can do for these types of
17:42individuals and for these
17:44children that are being
17:45trafficked is you shut the
17:46border down.
17:47You make it very difficult for
17:48the cartels to do what they
17:50inherently want to do, which is
17:51to make money off of these
17:52children.
17:53And that's exactly what
17:54President Trump has done.
17:55And so he should be given a
17:57lot of credit.
17:57His team should be given a lot
17:58of credit.
17:59But the hard work, as you
18:01indicated, is in front of them
18:02trying to find these children.
18:04And as you know, beginning in
18:05the first Trump term where we
18:06worked together, Chad Wolf, the
18:08president has been very focused
18:09on breaking the back of this
18:11fentanyl and illegal illicit drug
18:13crisis.
18:14Now he's bringing that right into
18:15Mexico, threatening the
18:17cartels.
18:17You've got Mexico turning over
18:19some of the cartel members to
18:20us.
18:20It looks like there's great
18:21progress.
18:22What are the prospects for real
18:24progress there so that we see
18:26the amount of drugs coming over
18:28our border into our
18:29communities and into our
18:30kids' veins reduced?
18:34Well, I think what you can be
18:35sure about is that President
18:36Trump is taking this threat
18:37seriously, right?
18:38He's designated the cartels as
18:40foreign terrorist
18:40organizations.
18:41And that includes not only ones in
18:43Mexico, but in other places in
18:45Central and South America.
18:46He's sending Navy warships off to
18:48the coast of Venezuela, not only
18:50because of Maduro, but also from
18:52TDA, which is also, you know,
18:53another FTO designation there.
18:56And so he's trying to attack this
18:58at multiple sources along the
19:01route, making sure that it's not
19:02only human trafficking that's
19:03stopping, but it's also the
19:05illegal narcotics trade that these
19:06cartel members are very adapt at.
19:09And so, look, he's going to, the
19:11Trump administration has got a
19:12difficult task ahead of it.
19:13What can they do in concert with
19:15the Mexican government?
19:16And what can they do on their own
19:18understanding that there are
19:20limitations on what the
19:21Mexican government can and can't
19:23do?
19:24But there's other things that they
19:25can do as well.
19:26And I think he's pushing as hard
19:29as he can.
19:29They need to continue that.
19:31We're only seven or I would say
19:32maybe eight months now into this
19:34administration.
19:34And more has been done on this
19:36issue than the previous four by a
19:39long shot.
19:39So I think there's certainly more
19:41to come here.
19:42And, Chad, in the remaining
19:43moments we have, obviously, when
19:45people were coming up through the
19:46border under Biden, they were
19:48wearing shirts.
19:48Thank you, Biden.
19:49They knew it was open for
19:50business.
19:51Just come on, come along, 10
19:52million plus, maybe more.
19:54Is the opposite true now that
19:56folks see these 200,000 being
19:58deported by ICE and it's a true
20:00deterrent effect on folks to not
20:02come here?
20:04Well, absolutely.
20:06Look, everything that you do,
20:07most everything that you do when
20:09you talk about law enforcement is
20:10about deterrence.
20:11You're making sure that people are
20:12adhering to the law.
20:13And if not, there's a
20:14consequence to that.
20:15And we saw for four years under
20:17the Biden administration, if you
20:18broke the law, there's no
20:18consequence to it.
20:20So more and more people,
20:21obviously, broke the law.
20:22And under the Trump
20:23administration, they have flipped
20:24that on its head.
20:25They're saying there's going to be
20:26accountability here that if
20:27individuals want to choose and
20:29knowingly break the law, come into
20:31the U.S. illegally, well,
20:32guess what?
20:32They're going to be apprehended,
20:33they're going to be detained, and
20:35they're eventually going to be
20:36deported.
20:37And they may go back to their home
20:39country, they may go back to
20:40other countries.
20:41And it is about deterrence,
20:42making sure that those that need
20:44protections that the United States
20:46government provides that are
20:47truly in need, get them quickly,
20:49but the vast majority will never
20:50qualify for those protections,
20:52asylum protections and others,
20:54and let's remove them from the
20:55country quickly so that more and
20:57more do not come and we don't see
20:58the crisis that we did under four
21:00years of Biden.
21:01It's just been an incredible first
21:03seven, eight months, as you say.
21:04Chad Wolf, thank you.
21:06And coming up, Democrats are trying
21:08every trick in the book to keep
21:10their sinking party afloat.
21:12Gavin Newsom is trying to act like
21:13President Trump on Twitter.
21:15Good luck with that.
21:16You won't believe who's following
21:18in Newsom's footsteps now.
21:19We'll explain next.
21:20Welcome back to the special edition
21:30of Hannity.
21:31The Democrats are struggling right
21:33now with Trump racking up massive
21:35wins.
21:36There's not much to celebrate on the
21:37left.
21:39Some Democrat governors are trying to
21:40stand out by talking tough, but
21:42doing literally nothing.
21:45Governors like J.B.
21:46Pritzker in Illinois, Gavin Newsom
21:49in California, and now Wes Moore in
21:51Maryland, who recently mocked
21:53President Trump in a post on X.
21:56And while they all seemingly
21:57prepare for presidential runs,
21:59rank-and-file Democrats are up to
22:01their tired, old, woke tricks.
22:04Like taking time for a Native
22:05American land acknowledgement
22:07before their pathetic summer
22:09meeting in Minneapolis this week.
22:11Even James Carville has said
22:13enough.
22:14Take a look.
22:15understand this.
22:17The DNC does not exist
22:19to right wrongs.
22:22It doesn't exist
22:23to acknowledge
22:24the more unpleasant
22:25parts of history.
22:27It doesn't exist
22:28to make people feel good.
22:30It exists,
22:31get this through your head,
22:32to win elections.
22:35Now, do you think
22:35that is going to help us
22:37win elections
22:38by talking about
22:40land theft
22:42from the Dakotas?
22:44We're not.
22:45What is Ken Martin doing
22:46doing that?
22:48You don't have but one job, Ken.
22:50It's to win.
22:51You're supposed to try
22:52to win f***ing elections.
22:54Here now with Reaction,
22:56our Fox News contributor
22:57Byron New York,
22:58co-host of the Two Ways
22:59Morning Meeting,
23:00Dan Turrentine,
23:01and Texas Congressman
23:02Ronny Jackson.
23:04Wow.
23:05So, Congressman Jackson,
23:07when you listen to James Carville,
23:08Raging Cajun,
23:09and you take a look
23:10at what they talked about
23:11in Minneapolis this week,
23:13why can't the Democrats
23:14subscribe to that old adage,
23:15if you can't beat them,
23:17join them.
23:17Join President Trump
23:18and Republicans in fighting
23:20crime and lowering taxes
23:21and reducing regulations
23:22and getting men out of
23:23women's sports
23:24and passing school choice
23:26measures.
23:27Are any of your Democratic
23:28colleagues going to come
23:29forward and say,
23:29you know what,
23:30we are so bereft of ideas,
23:31we're going to start
23:32taking yours?
23:34Well, you know,
23:35we'll wait and see.
23:36I don't know if they can learn
23:37from their mistakes, Kelly Ann.
23:38I mean, first off,
23:39it's kind of hard
23:39to take James Carville serious
23:40anymore.
23:41He looks like a Muppet
23:42that somebody threw
23:43into the Washington machine
23:44now, and he just rants,
23:45you know, just aimlessly now.
23:48But I don't think
23:50that they can figure out
23:50what's going wrong.
23:51I hope that they continue
23:54down the path
23:54they're going down right now
23:55and they double down
23:56on all this woke garbage
23:58because all it is going to do,
24:00it's going to give us
24:00more influence
24:01and it's going to give us
24:02more seats
24:03in the midterm elections.
24:04We are going to win
24:05it big for a variety
24:08of reasons,
24:09first and foremost,
24:09because President Donald Trump
24:11is changing this country
24:13and taking this country back
24:14and fulfilling the promises
24:15that he made.
24:16But we're going to win it
24:17as well because
24:18they are morons.
24:19They are idiots
24:20and they cannot figure out
24:22how to win.
24:23And for me, I'm all in.
24:24I think they should just
24:25continue.
24:26So I hope they double down
24:27on the stupidity
24:28that's happening right now.
24:29Well, Dan Turnentine,
24:31over to you now
24:31to respond to that.
24:32But before you do,
24:33let me just talk about
24:34this new Twitter explosion
24:37from people like Gavin Newsom
24:38and now Westmore in Maryland.
24:40I got to tell you,
24:41as a woman,
24:41when we want to see
24:42if men are tough
24:43and strong and resolute,
24:45I don't check
24:46their social media feeds.
24:47There's this thing
24:47called social media muscle.
24:49Anybody can look like
24:49a tough guy,
24:50a tough girl on it.
24:51It makes no sense to me.
24:53But do you think
24:54it's working
24:55and who is it inspiring
24:57in the party?
24:58And why can't your party
24:59be tough offline,
25:01like on crime or on gangs?
25:04Well, on your first part,
25:05it's working for Gavin Newsom.
25:07Like, I will say this.
25:09He's showing he's got
25:10a little game
25:10because, you know,
25:11there's the old adage,
25:12be first, be bold
25:13and be aggressive.
25:15And what he's done
25:16is he's gotten
25:16the whole entire party
25:17to kind of rally around him
25:19because what he's really
25:20trying to do
25:20is mock Donald Trump.
25:22I mean, we can argue
25:23if that's good policy
25:24or not a good idea.
25:25But he's picked up
25:26three and a half million
25:27people on social media.
25:29And why is that important?
25:30You need two things
25:31for a campaign.
25:31You need volunteers
25:32and you need money.
25:33And he's building
25:34a pretty comprehensive list
25:36right now.
25:36He's also rocketed
25:38out of the pack.
25:38You know, there are 20
25:39people thinking
25:40about running.
25:41His poll numbers
25:42have gone up.
25:43And nothing says
25:44that you've made
25:44some progress
25:45like Wes Moore
25:46is now following
25:47behind him.
25:48Unfortunately for Wes Moore,
25:49he's being led.
25:52He's not leading.
25:53So I give Gavin Newsom
25:54credit.
25:55The next thing, of course,
25:55is he's got to get an agenda.
25:57And right now
25:57the party doesn't have one.
25:59Yeah, voters want a leader,
26:01not a tweeter.
26:02And the way President Trump
26:03used it, he's just one of one.
26:05People know he didn't
26:06win on style, Byron York.
26:08You've interviewed him.
26:09You know him.
26:10You've covered him
26:10for over a decade now,
26:12at least.
26:13He won on substance,
26:14middle-class tax cuts
26:15and reforming our trade
26:17imbalances and immigration
26:19policy in the border
26:20and all of it.
26:21But let me ask you
26:22about this strategy,
26:24this style over substance,
26:26this early in the cycle
26:28when the Democrats
26:29are bereft of ideas
26:30and leadership.
26:31Are you afraid of any
26:32of these people
26:32taking on a Republican
26:33in 2028?
26:37Not so far.
26:39I mean, first of all,
26:40the Democrats don't have
26:42a leader right now.
26:43There's no Democratic
26:44Speaker of the House.
26:45There's no Democratic
26:46President.
26:46There's no Democratic
26:47Senate majority leader.
26:49They don't have any of that.
26:50So what happens
26:51in the absence of leadership,
26:53you have some of the strongest
26:55and wildest voices out on
26:57the fringes getting the most
26:58attention.
26:59And with Gavin Newsom,
27:01I mean, Dan's right,
27:02he is getting a lot of
27:03attention among Democrats
27:05who seem starved for somebody
27:07who they see as fighting
27:09Donald Trump.
27:10Apparently, millions of
27:11Democrats believe that the
27:13party is being too nice to
27:15Trump up until now.
27:16And now they need to get
27:17tough with him.
27:18So the Gavin Newsom thing,
27:20adopting President Trump's
27:21true social style to parody
27:23him on Twitter gets them a lot
27:26of attention.
27:26They think it's really funny.
27:28But what you just suggested
27:29is they've left out the
27:31substance of why Trump
27:32has been successful.
27:35Yes, attention is not
27:37authenticity.
27:37I feel when it comes to
27:38these Democratic, even the
27:40governors, you can curse on
27:42podcasts, you can scream on
27:44TV, you can play the
27:45tough guy act, but you've got to
27:46deliver real results.
27:48Uh, Ronnie Jackson, you're,
27:50you've had your name on a ballot.
27:52You're an elected official.
27:53Is there any Democrat out there
27:55that worries you?
27:56No, not at all.
27:58And I'll tell you, Gavin Newsom
27:59may be making a little bit of
28:00headway, but Gavin Newsom will
28:02never, ever, no matter how hard he
28:04tries, will he ever have President
28:06Trump's political mojo.
28:07It's not going to happen.
28:08And, uh, so, uh, there's nobody
28:10out there I see right now that can
28:12compete with President Trump or
28:13with the Republican Party and the
28:14way it's headed right now.
28:15And we are going to finish four
28:17years strong and we're going to
28:18get another eight years.
28:19I can't wait.
28:20Dan Tarantino, let's, let's
28:22pretend for the moment that the
28:23model is President Trump.
28:24You have a very successful,
28:27globally known entrepreneur that
28:30people understand has created jobs,
28:33built buildings, golf courses, had
28:34the number one show on TV, is a
28:36wildly successful American dream
28:38story, but is a political outsider.
28:40Who's that in the Democratic orbit?
28:44Oh, if I knew I'd be in Las Vegas
28:45right now, we don't have anybody
28:47like that.
28:48I mean, I think, you know, even
28:49with all due respect to J.D. Vance,
28:51he's J.D. Vance.
28:52He's not going to be Donald Trump.
28:54And, you know, if I still had to
28:55bet today, I would put my money on
28:57J.D. Vance.
28:57But, look, no candidate three and a
29:00half years out, Kellyanne, is
29:01putting out white papers and
29:02getting people excited.
29:03The first thing you got to do is
29:05break out of the pack, get your
29:07party excited, put the
29:09mechanics together, and then, as
29:11you say, Donald Trump's got game
29:12and he had an agenda.
29:14And that is his secret sauce.
29:15We don't have the agenda yet, but
29:17I have confidence people are going
29:18to start road testing it soon.
29:20Byron, New York, a slight shift
29:22in topic.
29:22President Trump is making this
29:23country safer, more secure, more
29:25prosperous, more fair to each of
29:28us.
29:29Are your colleagues in the media
29:31starting to cover him more
29:32fairly?
29:32Do you see a difference this time?
29:36Well, I think if you look back
29:38to the first year of the Trump
29:41administration in 2017, I would
29:43say that even though the president
29:45is getting overwhelmingly negative
29:47coverage today, it is nothing like
29:50the degree of negativity that existed
29:52in 2017.
29:54The fights are more over the
29:56substance of what Trump is doing,
29:58over his tariffs, over the crackdown
30:00in Washington, all that sort of stuff.
30:03But actually, he's getting a better
30:05shake from the media now than he did
30:08in those terrible days of 2017.
30:10I agree.
30:11I think being lied to by Biden,
30:12Harris, and everybody who covered
30:14up their crimes of incompetence
30:16and intransigence has paid off.
30:19Gentlemen, thank you.
30:21Coming up, one of the new leaders
30:23of the Democratic Party, socialist
30:24Zoran Mandami, is now trying to
30:26distance himself from his prior
30:28radical positions.
30:29We'll tell you what he said and get
30:31that reaction from candidate
30:32Curtis Sleba.
30:41Welcome back to the special edition
30:42of Hannity.
30:43The Democratic nominee for mayor
30:45of New York City, Zoran Mandami,
30:47is an avowed socialist.
30:49But now Mandami says he does not
30:51support the agenda of the Democratic
30:52Socialists of America.
30:54He says he's running his own campaign
30:56and claims that just because he's
30:58a socialist doesn't mean he'll do
31:00everything that the socialists say
31:01they want to do.
31:03Are we supposed to believe that?
31:05Are we supposed to believe this guy
31:07is not a socialist even though he
31:09just joined Al Sharpton for a
31:10quote, march on Wall Street and
31:12said this.
31:14As we stand here in the wealthiest
31:17city, in the wealthiest country in
31:19the history of the world, as we
31:22stand here by Wall Street, where
31:24last year they had more than $40
31:27billion in bonuses.
31:28We ask ourselves, how is it that
31:32one in four New Yorkers are still
31:33living in poverty?
31:35They're all shouting.
31:37And while Mandami makes the other
31:39Democrats in the race look sane on
31:40economic issues, they still have
31:42their own quirks.
31:44Incumbent mayor Eric Adams now says
31:46he looks forward to hosting leaders
31:47of Bronx gangs at the mayor's
31:50mansion for peace talks.
31:52You really can't make it up.
31:53Here now with more on this is
31:55Republican candidate for New York
31:57mayor, Curtis Leewa.
31:58Curtis, it's great to see you.
32:00Thanks for joining.
32:00First, I want to talk about the
32:02mayor bringing into Gracie Manchin
32:04gang members for, quote, peace
32:06talks.
32:07You're the leader of the Guardian
32:08Angels.
32:09You think this is a good idea?
32:10Absolutely not.
32:12Kellyanne, I've spent two weeks in the
32:14Bronx talking about the blood flowing
32:16and the shots being fired by gangs
32:19at one another.
32:20The New York police don't even take a crime report
32:22unless somebody has been hit by what
32:25they call the trigger pullers.
32:27So now the mayor's been forced to
32:29address the blood flowing in the Bronx.
32:31So he wants to put together a gang
32:33summit in Gracie Manchin, which is
32:35where he lives, which is the
32:37people's house.
32:38He wants gang members and
32:40trigger pullers.
32:41Now, understand what a trigger
32:43puller is.
32:44That's somebody who shot somebody.
32:45That's somebody who's killed
32:46somebody.
32:47So to put it in context of
32:49organized crime, I was shot by a
32:52hit man June 19th, 1992, five
32:54times with hollow point bullets.
32:56His name, Michael Iannotti, on the
32:58orders of John Gotti Sr. to John
32:59Gotti Jr. and the Gambino crime
33:01family, Shira Shinlan, federal
33:03judge, sentenced him 20 years.
33:06Imagine he's now out.
33:08If he would be invited to Gracie
33:09Manchin to maybe forget his evil
33:12ways of being an organized crime
33:14hit man.
33:15This is ridiculous.
33:16The mayor doesn't even, doesn't
33:18even invite into Gracie Manchin
33:20young people who have become
33:22scholars in the community, young
33:24people who have advocated for law
33:26and order and protecting the
33:28elderly and not reverting to
33:29violence.
33:30This is capitulating the gangs and
33:33violent crime.
33:34And worse, it's never worked.
33:36It's never worked in New York City
33:37years ago, Chicago or Los Angeles.
33:40If anything, it emboldens gang
33:42members.
33:42They go back into their
33:43neighborhood and they say, you see,
33:45the mayor's afraid of us.
33:47The police commission is afraid of
33:48us.
33:49They had to meet with us and beg us
33:51to stop shooting one another.
33:53I'm the only candidate in this
33:55election that says lock them up.
33:56You have Andrew, no cash bail,
33:59Cuomo, who turns him loose in the
34:01streets.
34:02And as you mentioned, Zohan Mandami
34:04does not believe in prisons.
34:06He doesn't believe you should go to
34:07jail for shooting somebody, sexually
34:10harassing, raping somebody, or
34:12assaulting battery of somebody.
34:14He believes in what they call
34:16restorative justice.
34:17So, Kellyanne, just imagine somebody
34:20assaulted you with a baseball bat.
34:22They call it a random attack.
34:24Under Zohan Mandami, that person
34:26would not be arrested nor face
34:27incarceration.
34:28He would sit in a room with you and
34:30a counselor.
34:31He would be forced to apologize,
34:33Kellyanne Conway, and swear to you
34:35he'll never do it again.
34:37And then walk out that door and
34:38he'll do it to another woman and
34:40another woman and another woman.
34:41I say lock them up, put them on
34:44trial, incarcerate them if they're
34:46guilty.
34:47I'm the only Republican running for
34:48mayor.
34:49On crime, Curtis, I'm going to put
34:51you down as a hard yes to invite in
34:53President Trump's team and the
34:54National Guard to help you clean
34:56up the streets of New York.
34:57We would all welcome that.
34:59Curtis, you very recently called
35:00Mandami a phony.
35:02I hear this often about him.
35:03He's got chauffeured security.
35:05He's never had a real job.
35:06I don't know many 33-year-olds who
35:08need to reinvent themselves based on
35:10things they said yesterday.
35:12But there he is.
35:12But he is a phony.
35:14I'm just concerned we're going to be
35:15calling him mayor.
35:17He's scary.
35:19And we all look at the polls.
35:20I'm a professional pollster.
35:21I know they go up, they go down.
35:23This guy's at 41%.
35:24I want to say this to the audience.
35:25I think Mandami's floor and
35:27ceiling are dangerously close
35:28together for him.
35:29He's not going to get, he's
35:30nowhere near 50% of the vote.
35:32Curtis, what is the date by which
35:34you or one or two of the others
35:36will drop out and consolidate
35:37behind somebody just so you can
35:39take this guy on and not leave
35:41New York City into socialism?
35:42What do you say to people who
35:43say that to you?
35:44Kellyanne Conway, we've already
35:46had Zoran Mandami before.
35:48His name was Bill de Blasio.
35:50Although he didn't refer to
35:51himself as a socialist, we got a
35:53taste of what that's like.
35:54Zoran Mandami says he wants to be
35:57just like Bill de Blasio.
35:59Nobody's dropping out of this race.
36:01Andrew, no cash bill.
36:03Cuomo is not dropping out.
36:06Eric Adams, who has been mired in
36:08corruption, he's not dropping out.
36:10I'm the only other major party
36:11candidate.
36:12I'm the Republican.
36:13I'm the person who believes that
36:15undocumented aliens should not vote.
36:18I don't believe in sanctuary cities.
36:20I believe in locking up criminals.
36:22Why would I drop out?
36:24I'm the only person who can save New York City,
36:26Kellyanne Conway, because all of them
36:28are Democrats and Cuomo and Eric Adams
36:31are nothing more than Zoran Mandami-lite.
36:33There you go, Curtis Lee, but he's not
36:35dropping out, but he's speaking up
36:38and putting up and showing up.
36:40Good luck to you, Curtis.
36:41All the best to you.
36:42And coming up, Cracker Barrel is still
36:44in hot water over its failed
36:46disastrous rebrand attempt.
36:48Things are so bad that the company's
36:5093-year-old co-founder is now speaking out.
36:52We'll tell you what he said straight ahead.
36:54It's time for our other News of the Day segment.
37:05Cracker Barrel is still in hot water
37:06over its failed rebrand, and the troubles
37:09don't seem to be going anywhere soon.
37:12Fox News Digital tried to ask the company's
37:14CEO, Julie Messino, some questions,
37:16but she dodged them.
37:17Take a look.
37:18Why is Cracker Barrel changing its logo back?
37:29What's Cracker Barrel's plans?
37:44Wow, she had a lot to say before, nothing now.
37:46Things are so bad that Cracker Barrel's
37:4893-year-old co-founder slammed the rebrand attempt
37:51as pitiful during a recent interview.
37:54Check it out.
37:54This logo rolled out the other day.
37:58Oh, that's crazy.
38:00That's nothing.
38:00It's a bland nothing.
38:04It's pitiful.
38:06They're trying to modernize,
38:09to be more like the competition.
38:13Cracker Barrel doesn't have any competition.
38:15And the food is something that you need to work on.
38:19Spending $700 million to do that
38:22is all I'm doing.
38:24I'm just throwing money out the street.
38:27I love this guy, Isabel Brown.
38:29Thank you for joining us from The Daily Wire.
38:31I love this guy because the 93-year-old founder
38:35of Cracker Barrel talking about the food
38:37and the rebrand, I think he should be on the logo.
38:39It's bland nothing, he says,
38:41which I think is a perfect encompassment
38:43of just how out of touch Cracker Barrel really was in this process.
38:47Look, Kellyanne, to bring this to the 30,000-foot level,
38:50beauty matters.
38:51And it sounds so silly and trivial to use the word beauty
38:54when we're talking about the interior design
38:56or the logo of Cracker Barrel.
38:58But this is part of a much larger, sinister undertow of our culture
39:02led by the radical Marxist left throughout my lifetime
39:04to rid our society of intricacy and detail.
39:08We see it in our architecture, we see it in our art museums,
39:11we see it in our churches,
39:12and of course we see it in corporate America as well.
39:15And that's exactly what you see inside of these sterile, bland,
39:19totally rid of any sort of beauty or intricate detail,
39:23Cracker Barrel rebrands that we're seeing
39:25take the storm across the nation.
39:27But I find it really fascinating
39:28that in the midst of that removal of detail and beauty,
39:31America is running back to traditional Christianity,
39:35to the family, to beautiful art,
39:36the classics in academia again.
39:38And so this just goes to show to me
39:40that these woke, elitist CEOs
39:42are so unbelievably out of touch.
39:44But what Americans really want
39:46is classic Americana tradition
39:47and that foundation of Western civilization again.
39:50It's so obvious.
39:50We saw it with all the sororities and fraternities
39:52and other college students coming out
39:54and dancing and showing their patriotism.
39:57And it's not just the families
39:59and the folks in the churches,
40:01it's actually our president.
40:02He is authentic all the way,
40:05but he's also, I think,
40:07taking control of these areas
40:09that used to belong to the left,
40:10the arts and sports and entertainment
40:12and media and tech and culture.
40:15And look what he's doing at the Kennedy Center,
40:17look what he's doing at the universities,
40:18look what he's doing with sports.
40:21So it's super exciting.
40:22I just have a question for you.
40:24This whole thing with Cracker Barrel
40:25felt so COVID-y, 2020, 2021-ish.
40:30Did this woman not live
40:31through the Bud Light debacle?
40:33I ask myself this of almost
40:35every corporate CEO these days.
40:37Every company seems to be making
40:38the same mistakes over and over and over again.
40:41And then you see some light come through
40:43with American Eagle, for example,
40:44in the last few months,
40:46where all of a sudden you're seeing
40:47this cultural tug of war happen
40:48with corporate branding
40:49and with PR and messaging to Americans.
40:52What's rising to the top
40:53is very clearly that energy
40:54set at the top in our culture
40:56by our president and so many other loud voices,
40:59building a country we're proud to call home again
41:01and bringing what's good
41:02and true and beautiful back to society.
41:04Really well said,
41:05especially ahead of Labor Day.
41:07You may remember earlier this month,
41:09this video you see on your screens
41:11of a Rhode Island prosecutor getting arrested.
41:13It went viral.
41:15In it, you can hear her warn the cops
41:17that they'll regret arresting her.
41:20Tonight, we have new details on the situation.
41:23According to a report from the Boston Globe,
41:25the assistant attorney general
41:26has been placed on six months
41:28of unpaid leave.
41:31Wow.
41:32So, she got her just deserves.
41:34She's got a lot of time to think
41:35about how important she was.
41:37She sure does.
41:38And this is the same behavior
41:39that's incredibly troubling to me
41:41from the left of this idea
41:42of a two-tiered justice system
41:44but also a two-tiered culture
41:46where the rules for everyone else
41:48don't apply to them
41:48and the basic standard
41:50for how we govern our day-to-day lives
41:52doesn't as well.
41:52Let's not forget,
41:53this is the same party this week
41:55that has gone viral all over the internet
41:57and the airwaves of television
41:58mocking Americans for praying for children
42:01who were shot in Catholic mass
42:03at a Catholic grade school
42:05because prayer doesn't work somehow.
42:08The sheer level of out of touch
42:09with where Americans are truly at
42:11in our day-to-day lives
42:12is baffling to me
42:13from the Democrat Party.
42:15It's baffling
42:15and now it goes all the way up
42:16to President Barack Obama.
42:17I mean, he's basically warning
42:19it's a dangerous trend
42:20to have the National Guard
42:21help clean up the streets.
42:23I noticed, Isabel,
42:23that when he was president,
42:25he got there,
42:26there were about 445 murders in Chicago
42:30and then by the time he left,
42:31eight years later,
42:32it had almost doubled.
42:34It sure has.
42:34And meanwhile, here in D.C.,
42:35we're going on two weeks
42:37without a homicide
42:37thanks to the leadership
42:38of President Trump.
42:40But I'm sure excited
42:41for whatever happens
42:42in the next few months
42:42and years ahead.
42:43It's been amazing.
42:44That's called causation,
42:45not coincidence.
42:46Isabel, thank you so much
42:47for joining us.
42:48Thanks for having me.
42:49And coming up,
42:50more Hannity after the break.
43:00Unfortunately,
43:01that is all the time
43:02we have left this evening.
43:03As always,
43:03thank you for being with us.
43:05As we celebrate
43:07the official end of summer
43:08through Labor Day,
43:09I'd like to say,
43:10if you're doing work
43:11in this country,
43:12your social achievements
43:13and your economic achievements
43:14are to be appreciated
43:16and celebrated.
43:17But folks,
43:18you're doing it
43:18in the world's greatest country.
43:20Appreciate that most of all.
43:21God bless you, USA.
43:23Greg Gutfeld is next.
43:24Have a great weekend
43:24and happy Labor Day.
