HANNITY (FULL EPISODE) | OCTOBER 16, 2025
Transcript
00:00Welcome to Hannity. We begin tonight with a Fox News alert. At this hour, we are tracking
00:07multiple major breaking news stories, including two very contentious debates from hotly contested
00:13races in Virginia and New York City. Yep, that mayoral race. In the Commonwealth of Virginia,
00:19you have the Republican incumbent Attorney General Jason Meares finally got a chance to
00:25confront his opponent, Democrat Jay Jones, over recently unearthed text messages where Jones is
00:31fantasizing about the murder of the Republican leader in the state legislature and his young
00:36children, along with several police officers. Take a look. Let's be clear. There is a reason why
00:43the Fraternal Order Police, the PBA, and every single major law enforcement association in the
00:48state of Virginia has not just endorsed me, Jay. They have said you need to drop out. And I find
00:53it a little bit stunning that today you say one of the pillars of your public safety platform
00:57is protecting children. Were you protecting Jennifer's children when you said you wanted
01:02to see them die in their mother's arms? How can anybody who's ever worked in any of the crimes
01:07against children, all of the areas of federal and state local law department, how can they ever take
01:12you seriously, be the top prosecutor, knowing that you view that children should die to advance a
01:17political agenda? It's unconscionable, and if you were truly sorry, you would not be running for this
01:22office because you disqualified yourself. By the way, for the record, a well-moderated debate,
01:29not like in New York City. And in case you're wondering, Jay Jones responded, oh, predictably,
01:33let's attack Donald Trump. In fact, Jay Jones talked about Trump ad nauseum. You would think Trump
01:39is running for attorney general in the Commonwealth. Anyway, Jason Meares will join us in just a moment.
01:46That's coming up straight ahead tonight. Also, New York City mayoral candidates, Curtis Sliwa,
01:51he will be here. His debate against both Andrew Cuomo and devout socialists, we call him Zoran
01:57Kami, the Marxist Mamdani, just wrapped up. Take a look.
02:00Thank God I'm not a professional politician. We have the architect and we have the apprentice
02:08of no cash bail, which has been a disaster. We have the architect and the apprentice here
02:13of raise the age. My own son was almost killed because of that in a gang attack.
02:18All right. Just to be clear, put this in perspective, probably the single worst moderated
02:26debate in the history of this country. But we'll have highlights of both debates. It's
02:31coming up straight ahead. Plus, big new polls out of Virginia and New Jersey. Wow. Both
02:38races have tightened dramatically. When you see these numbers, you will be surprised. Both
02:44blue states. Anyway, we'll check in with Matt Towery and Robert Cahaley. They are here. We
02:48also have breaking news tonight from Maryland. Ex-National Security Advisor John Bolton has
02:53been indicted by a federal grand jury on 18 counts surrounding the alleged mishandling of
03:00classified national defense material. Remember, not long ago, it was Bolton. He was out there
03:05cheering for the lawfare against President Trump and called on him to withdraw from the 2024
03:11election. Jonathan Turley, Trey Gowdy weigh in. Tonight, it is clear. Trump haters across
03:18the country, they're not doing well. On Capitol Hill, Democrats are humiliating themselves.
03:23They are hurting everyday Americans in what is a giant performative stunt that never stops.
03:29They are still refusing to open the government. Unless, of course, Republicans agree to a whopping
03:34$1.5 trillion increase in spending for their far-left pet projects, including health care
03:42for illegals, NPR, PBS. But in a shameful example of gaslighting, these Democrats now are blaming
03:49Donald Trump for the shutdown. No, it's not him. He supports the continuing resolution fund
03:54government at their current levels. Americans, they're not buying it. Take a look.
03:59How do you think this shutdown reflects on Chuck Schumer's leadership?
04:02Well, I think it reflects more on Mike Johnson's leadership and President Trump's leadership.
04:10This is a leadership which said it's okay to give a... Well, how do you feel? You tell
04:15me. Think it's a good idea to give a trillion dollars in tax breaks to the richest people in
04:20the country and then make massive cuts to health care for working class people?
04:23I think Chuck Schumer has voted for continuing resolutions 13 times in the last four years.
04:28And he has the opportunity to vote for one again, but he's refusing to come to the table.
04:32Well, I take... Look.
04:35The House passed the bill. Now it's Chuck Schumer. Shut down Schumer. You know, there you go.
04:39The person who joined Bernie on the stage might just be the actual cause of the shutdown.
04:45That's Socialist Congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez reportedly poised to primary minority leader
04:52Chucky Schumer from the left. And he is desperate to prove himself to his party's radical base.
04:58Therefore, he's going to put aside a lifelong position of never supporting a shutdown.
05:03But don't take my word for it. Take a look at the reaction from Bernie and AOC when fake news CNN
05:09asked about this very topic. Take a look.
05:11Are you saying that Senator Schumer should not be worried about a primary challenge from you?
05:16I mean... No. Let me jump in on this one. Let me... This is what we're talking about.
05:23This is what we're talking about. This is what we're talking about.
05:25You have a country that is falling apart. We are in a house... housing crisis, a healthcare
05:30crisis, an education crisis, massive income and wealth inequality, a corrupt campaign
05:35finances, and the media says, oh, you're going to run. What are you going to run for? Nobody cares.
05:39Nobody cares. It's the House Speaker and President Trump and the Vice President saying it. Pardon?
05:45Well, of course, they're saying it to deflect attention away from the real issues. Exactly.
05:49Ah, fight the oligarchy tour and take your private jet with you. Truth is, it doesn't matter what Chuck
05:56Schumer does. That's the truth. These are the leaders, the true leaders of the Democratic Party.
06:01Hakeem Jeffries, Chuckie Schumer, they're leaders in name only. But if you look at AOC, Grandpa Bernie,
06:07that is the brain trust. It is the Democratic Party's heart. It is their soul. And that should
06:13be concerning to every American. For example, here's another moment from the fake news CNN town hall.
06:18AOC proclaiming that Deloitte, an accounting firm, was causing rivers to burn with pollution. Okay, take a look.
06:27You know what this country looked like before the EPA? Rivers in rural areas were on fire
06:33because of corporations poisoning the people who lived in those areas. Poor middle class communities
06:41getting poisoned and dumped on by corporations like Deloitte and 3M pouring chemicals into these
06:47places. And they want to call it a democratic priority. And that's why they want to eliminate the FDA.
06:54Ah, the answer, New Green Deal Communism. AOC is deeply concerned about, quote, drinkable
07:02air. Can't make it up. Take a look. They're trying to make this about political tabloids
07:09and political intrigue and horse races. Exactly the kinds of things that people are sick of in this
07:15country. We're sick of it. We're sick of talking about these horse races. And we're sick of leaders who
07:22only want to spend their time talking about that instead of talking about real issues that affect
07:27our lives. Instead of talking about health care. Instead of talking about wages. Instead of talking
07:32about having air that's drinkable. I mean, air that's breathable and water that's drinkable.
07:40One or the other. Anyway, but maybe the biggest priority for AOC and our fellow comrades is taxpayer
07:45funded health care for illegal immigrants. Now, which, by the way, the congresswoman is calling
07:50a human right. Take a look. Do you think that taxpayers should be paying for the medical care
07:56of immigrants that are in the country illegally? Thank you. Well, we already know. And this is a
08:04common, this is a common lie that Republicans have been repeating. Do you think undocumented immigrants
08:10should have access to federally? You know, I, I believe personally that health care is a human
08:15right. I believe that every person should be able to go to the doctor, but I believe that right now,
08:20federal law is the federal law. If you could choose, do you believe that the federal law should be
08:24changed? I don't. I believe in a single payer health care system where if you go in and you need
08:29a doctor, you can get the medical attention that you need. Of course, I believe in, in health care,
08:35taxpayer funded health care for illegals and all the other services you can think of. To be clear
08:40right now, this is the very best the democratic party has to offer. At least AOC is somewhat honest.
08:48The rest of the party, you know, is a performative far left clown show, you know, filming themselves,
08:53pretending to resist Trump, pretending to stand up to Speaker Johnson, pretending to work hard
08:59to reopen the government. But in reality, it is all just one big ploy for attention that nobody is
09:07buying. Take a look. In the past, Democrats and government shutdowns, whenever there's been even
09:14a possibility of it, they would stand tall that that's not the way to do things. Always. The
09:20government does not have to be shut down. It doesn't have to be shut down. We can, we can
09:24fix this here in a matter of just a couple days. I mean, this could, this could be easily solved
09:31by sitting down at the table. To get past 60, to get past 60, you need some Democrats to reopen.
09:38That's what's going to have to happen. Senator, you close the government down because you're,
09:43you want 1.5 trillion for all these different things that Schumer wants. It's obvious to everyone,
09:48although, you know, maybe you can convince the public that it's the Republicans, but it's not.
09:55Now, this dumpster fire will no doubt impact November's off-year elections. And of course,
10:00it doesn't help the Democrats are once again running terrible candidates. And in Virginia,
10:04Republicans might just pull off an upset. Look at this new poll out tonight from Trafalgar. That's
10:11Robert Cahaley. Insider Advantage, that's Matt Towery. Look at this. Gubernatorial candidate,
10:16Winsome Sears, has closed a double-digit gap, now trails by only two points, well within the margin
10:23of error. Republican incumbent attorney general, Jason Meares, now leads by five. And in New Jersey,
10:31look at the big blue state of New Jersey. This poll just dropping right now, this hour,
10:38a big pickup for the GOP. Republican Jack Cittarelli is within about a point of Democrat
10:47Mikey Sherrill. Here with more. Insider Advantage pollster, Matt Towery, and chief pollster of the
10:53Trafalgar Group, Robert Cahaley. Good to see you both guys. You're the guys I trust. All right,
10:59Matt, you went in the field, you wanted to test and see if all these controversies in New Jersey
11:08with Democrats and Virginia were having an impact on the race. Clearly it is.
11:15Yeah. Well, I mean, like in Virginia, you just saw that debate tonight. Goodness,
11:19that guy's dragging everybody down on the Democratic side in Virginia. And in New Jersey,
11:24there's been a shift in politics in New Jersey. The northern portion of New Jersey,
11:28that used to be big time Democrat is now more Republican. It's all, it's all flipped.
11:33So these states are very competitive. I happen to think New Jersey is exceptionally competitive.
11:37I think that race is closing very fast. And the candidates, the Democratic candidates for governor
11:43in both of those states, they have had very bad debates. They've had bad responses. They're just not
11:48putting on a good show. Yeah. And okay. And New Jersey, Robert is cracking me up. I mean,
11:55the Democratic candidate, Mikey Sherrill, I have no idea how I made $7 million. I just,
12:00I don't know. I looked at my bank account one day and it just magically showed up.
12:04I have no idea how it got there. She won't commit to not raising taxes in a very high tax state.
12:10And we can't get a straight answer. As a matter of fact, we get shifting answers.
12:15Why she did not walk at graduation, uh, at the Naval Academy. Uh, because first she said,
12:23uh, I wouldn't tell authorities what I knew and that's why I got caught up in it. Then she said,
12:27well, I told them everything I knew. Uh, I think she's got a problem with telling the truth. Is that
12:31impacting that race? Now she ought to go on a book tour. If she can teach people how to put $7 million
12:38in their bank account without doing anything, she sent a lot of books. You don't need to be
12:43governor, but no, absolutely. The, that scandal along with whatever happened at the Naval Academy
12:48that kept her from, uh, walking is having an impact and, and really kind of making it.
12:56I mean, right now with, when people are very frustrated about taxes, New Jersey,
13:00and so they have no reason to trust anything she says. And, and I think that that has given
13:07a Republican to realize a very strong advantage. And that's the kind of state that, uh, I think
13:12taxes are going to move, uh, that election. And it's just a matter of, uh, you know, it's all get
13:18out the vote at this point. I mean, leading by one down by one, these are all get out the vote questions.
13:26You're both telling me the, that these races now have narrowed dramatically. And I don't want to,
13:31I never liked to be Pollyannish. I don't want to raise false hope in people,
13:36but it seems my interpretation of your polls, Matt Towery is if people get out and vote in New
13:43Jersey, if they want change, they have a shot in Virginia, they have a shot right or wrong.
13:51Yeah, they have a shot. I mean, they have the wind at their back because President Trump just
13:55pulled off one of the greatest miracles of diplomacy of our lifetime. Of course, the polls
14:00won't show that because the polls never want to show how Trump is really doing, but there's so much
14:05positive going right now nationally. And then you have these candidates fumbling on the Democratic
14:10side. Let me say one thing about turnout though. In Georgia, there are two public service commission,
14:15commission races. Those seems like small things, but they're very big in Georgia.
14:18Down there, the turnout is massively Democrat right now, not Republican. We're able to track those votes
14:25and it's a very low turnout. So if you get a high turnout, like in New Jersey and Virginia,
14:29Republicans can win. If they don't get their act together in Georgia and those little races,
14:34that could be bad news for setting up Georgia for the next round for governor.
14:39You know, Robert, I watched both the AG debate in the Commonwealth of Virginia. I watched the
14:45the debate in the New York City mayoral race, and it seems like, you know, all that the radical leftists
14:52want to talk about, you would think Donald Trump was running simultaneously in all those races
14:56because they spent an inordinate amount of time talking about him. Is that going to be an effective
15:03strategy for them? Well, you obviously have the concern with the government shutdown, and I think
15:12that's having an impact in Northern Virginia and how that is going to affect turnout. But these people
15:18are kind of insiders that work in Washington, and they might know a little bit more about what the real
15:23reason for the shutdown is, and Schumer not going for the continuing resolution. So, you know, I just think
15:29constantly focusing on Trump isn't going to get there. You know, the car tax is tremendous in Virginia,
15:35and you know, they have to, it sounds like that
15:40Sears has a better plan on doing that.
15:43Transgender bathrooms is still a big deal, and holding her accountable on that attorney general. And, you know,
15:49if she can't be some independent courageous person, if she will not back off, you know,
15:54she says she's not partisan, and she's beyond all that, but there's no other reason. She came out
15:59quickly against Northam, but yet she won't do the same thing with the attorney general, and that issues
16:05move in that election. It's going to be, some of the GOP's best are handling the turnout up there,
16:10but it is going to be a turnout all the way to the end.
16:12All right. You have a shot. Virginia, you have a shot. New Jersey, New Jersey, you have a shot.
16:21All right. Thank you both. And up next tonight, right here on Hannity.
16:24You had three years to say you're sorry, Jay, and you didn't. Three years to actually recognize what
16:30you did was horrific. You chose to stay silent. All right. Tonight, the Virginia attorney general
16:36running for reelection, Jason Meares confronted his opponent, Jay Jones, over those disgusting,
16:42vile, violent text messages, calling for, oh, I'd shoot the speaker and take out his kids too.
16:51That came up a lot in the debate tonight. He will join us live also tonight.
16:55We also have to ensure that it addresses the conditions that preceded this. Conditions
17:02like occupation, like the siege and apartheid. I've said time and again that I recognize Israel's
17:07right to exist. I've said that I will not recognize any state. I said that I will not.
17:11As a Jewish state.
17:14All right. Curtis Lewa, Zoran, Kami, Mamdani, Andrew Cuomo all facing off in the New York City
17:19mayoral debate. Curtis Lewa will give us his first reaction straight ahead.
17:24All right. Earlier tonight, Virginia's attorney general candidates, they squared off in a debate
17:35and Democrat Jay Jones was finally confronted head on about his vile text messaging. And he
17:43repeatedly failed to respond to any attack from the current attorney general running for reelection.
17:48Uh, Mearis, look at this. You're also going to hear from my opponent about text messages that I
17:55sent that I deeply, deeply regret. Let me be very clear. I am ashamed. I am embarrassed. And I'm sorry.
18:06You had three years to say you're sorry, Jay. And you didn't. Three years to actually recognize what
18:11you did was horrific. You chose to stay silent. Carrie Cornier called you out then. You doubled down.
18:17It was after she called you out for these text messages that that is when you said you advocated
18:22for violence against children. He keeps saying that he is sorry. Jay, if you're really sorry,
18:28you wouldn't be running. If you really understood the ramifications of what you said about an innocent
18:33mom and her children, you know, Todd Gilbert, you served with him. Jennifer would come to the
18:40General Assembly. She would bring her children. We would see them run in the hallways. They were two
18:45and five years old at the time. I find it a little bit stunning that today you say one of the pillars
18:49of your public safety platform is protecting children. Were you protecting Jennifer's children
18:55when you said you wanted to see them die in their mother's arms? How can anybody who's ever worked
18:59in any of the crimes against children, all of the areas of federal and state local law department,
19:04how can they ever take you seriously, be the top prosecutor, knowing that you view that children
19:10should die to advance a political agenda? It's unconscionable. And if you were truly sorry,
19:15you would not be running for this office because you disqualified yourself. How could Jay Jones lead
19:19the extraordinary men and women in the attorney general's office in Virginia, when he wouldn't
19:23himself pass a background check to take on this role? We now know who Jay Jones is by his own writings,
19:30that he wants to piss on the grave of his political opponents, that he wants to see Todd Gilbert with
19:35two bullets in his head. And then he wants to see a child as young as two years old die in his mother's arms.
19:43He said all of it and piss on their grave. And if he had two bullets and Pol Pot and Hitler
19:49and the speaker in Virginia, oh, he'd use both bullets on the speaker, then go after the kids. Now,
19:56Attorney General Mayaris also called out Jay Jones for his vote, allowing men to compete in women's
20:02sports and share locker rooms. Take a look. But I do find that amazing, Jay, that you talk about
20:07the importance of protecting women when it was your vote and your advocacy that put biological men
20:13in women's sports teams, in their locker rooms, and their private spaces. I'm proud of the work
20:18we've done standing up for women. Now, Mayaris also touted his work tackling the illegal immigration
20:25and drug crisis caused by Joe Biden, Kamala Harris, and Mayorkas' wide open borders. Take a look.
20:32My job is to protect the innocent and go after these violent transnational gangs that are hurting
20:39Virginians, which we have done. As I've noted, my office alone has prosecuted and removed enough
20:45fentanyl off the streets that would have taken the lives of 7 million Virginians. And so I think it's
20:50important for us to recognize that what we are attempting to do is remove illegal immigrants
20:56that have committed violent acts and broken and committed felonies against Virginians.
21:00And the 1.4 million illegals that have already had a court hearing under the Biden administration
21:06were already ordered to leave the country. And in the previous administration, it was never enforced.
21:12Now, needless to say, the debate was in a mitigated disaster for Jay Jones, who dodged and
21:17deflected questions about his represent, uh, reprehensible past while the attorney general
21:23Mayaris frankly gave a master class in debating landing one attack after another while defending
21:29his stellar record in office and the Virginia attorney general, uh, now running for reelection.
21:34Jason, uh, Mayaris is with us now. I watched it start to finish. First of all,
21:39unlike the New York city mayoral debate, you actually had a real debate with a real monitor moderator.
21:45And you know what, after seeing the next debate, yeah, I really came to appreciate the fact that
21:51he gave you both time to speak, but wow. Um, that was powerful. Um, he finally got called out
21:59on both of those issues. I think this is all going to also going to impact the, uh,
22:03the gubernatorial race there. Your thoughts.
22:08Well, listen, the Virginia state bar did a great job for us to share our competing visions,
22:12but essentially what you saw on stage was Jay Jones trying to defend the indefensible because
22:18we're at this moment in Virginia. We have this moment of choosing where the eyes of the world,
22:22the eyes of the nation are upon us. And that really, it's a question of decency. The idea that
22:27someone is running to be attorney general, which your number one job, Sean, is to stop violence,
22:32to be someone that is advocated to get for violence, not just against his political opponents,
22:37but children as young as two and five children that he's met. He's met Jennifer Gilbert. He knows
22:43Todd. He's worked with them. I just find that unconscionable. And the idea that you don't have
22:48any major Democrats in Virginia that have asked him to withdraw from the race says so much about
22:53where we are. But Virginians, we don't follow. We lead as governor Youngkin likes to say,
22:58we have this moment of choosing here in Virginia. They could stand with a prosecutor like myself
23:03that wants to work to keep Virginians safe, or somebody who has a criminal first,
23:07victim last mindset, who's never been a prosecutor a day in his life. I think the contrast is stark,
23:13and I look forward to this closing argument to Virginians the rest of this campaign.
23:18Let's get your analysis, Matt Towery, Robert Cahaley, their new poll out tonight. They have you leading
23:23by five in your race. They now have Winsome Sears within two. That race has narrowed dramatically.
23:33I believe the two issues that was discussed extensively during your debate will also impact
23:38the gubernatorial race. What are your thoughts?
23:42Well, yeah, because, you know, listen, Virginia is not a blue state or red state. It's a common
23:46sense state. Virginians see this, and they're scratching their heads. They recognize that any
23:51party right now that seems to turn the blind eye on political violence against people they disagree with,
23:57there's real questions of their judgment. And so this is now a movement that we've seen in
24:01Virginia. I've gotten calls from all over the nation that this election has become nationalized.
24:07And so for Virginians and Americans that want to say no to this type of left wing rhetoric about
24:13violence against kids, you simply go to standwithjason.com, stand with us to retire Jay Jones and put him
24:20permanently in the private sector because he is not a prosecutor. He's a left wing politician seeking
24:25a promotion. Gentlemen, ladies and gentlemen of America, Jay Jones does not deserve a promotion.
24:32Uh, you rightly pointed out those text messages, you couldn't pass a background tech test. He
24:38couldn't be working in for an attorney general, nevermind be the attorney general. Uh, great job
24:45tonight. I think people can learn a lot for how you handled yourself. You did a great job. Also tonight,
24:50we had the first very first debate from the New York city mayoral general election campaign. It was
24:57a historic moment because Republican nominee Curtis Sliwa was not wearing his signature red
25:03beret tonight. That kind of shocked me. Uh, but he looked great. Take a look. Curtis Sliwa is without
25:09his iconic red beret because I'm talking to the people of New York city about the really serious
25:17issues of affordability, the cost of living. And obviously what I spent most of my life doing,
25:23which is public safety in the streets and the subway. And now Curtis did find time to remind
25:31the viewing audience that his two democratic opponents are responsible for New York's no bail
25:36nightmare. Uh, if you live in New York city, do you feel safe and secure? Do you think there's law and
25:42order? Do you like defund, dismantle, re-imagine the police as Zoran Kami Mamdani wants? Uh, or do you
25:50believe in safety and security? That's your choice in this election. Take a look. Thank God. I'm not a
25:55professional politician. We have the architect and we have the apprentice of no cash bail, which has been
26:02a disaster. We have the architect and the apprentice here of raise the age. My own son was almost killed
26:09because of that in the gang attack. We have the architect and we have the apprentice of closed
26:14Rikers Island, which would just release criminals in the street. Thank God. I'm not a professional
26:20politician. And for his part, Zoran Kami, Marx's Mamdani got the opportunity to continue trashing
26:28the state of Israel predictably. Take a look. I, like many New Yorkers, am hopeful that this ceasefire
26:35will hold. I'm hopeful that it is durable. I'm hopeful that it is just. And for it to be just,
26:39we also have to ensure that it addresses the conditions that preceded this. Conditions
26:45like occupation, like the siege and apartheid. I've said time and again that I recognize Israel's
26:50right to exist. I've said that I will not recognize any state. I said that I will not. As a Jewish state.
26:56If I would be allowed to finish. Okay. That I would not recognize any state's
26:59right to exist with a system of hierarchy on the basis of race of religion.
27:05By the way, I couldn't give Donald Trump credit. Those hostages were released because of Donald
27:09Trump. And once again, Mamdani confirmed that he wants to raise taxes big time in New York,
27:15one of the highest taxed cities already in the entire country, uh, whether he's allowed to
27:20or not allowed to take a look. Making buses fast and free costs about $700 million a year.
27:26Making universal childcare reality costs about five or $6 billion a year. If you raise the state's
27:31top corporate tax rate to match that of New Jersey, you'd be raising 5 billion in and of itself.
27:38All right, here with reaction, fresh, fresh off the debate stage, the Republican nominee for mayor
27:42of New York city, Curtis Lee was there. You look good without the hat. I, although I'm kind of used
27:47to the hat. Um, first I have to comment maybe the single worst formatted moderated debate in the history
27:57of debates. You have 30 seconds. Okay. I want to respond. The moderators were infuriated. It had to
28:05be infuriating to you. Was it? It was, but, uh, Sean, I was able to get in my points. I could not believe
28:13that both these guys who, as you know, combined are not tougher than me think they can pump up
28:21their testosterone and take on the most powerful man in the world, president Donald Trump.
28:26That's not the way you deal with Trump in the administration. You sit down, you negotiate,
28:31you try to save some of the money that we desperately need in New York city, but no,
28:36you're not going to win the battle against Donald Trump. Both these guys are so desperate to fight
28:42Donald Trump and the people of New York city are going to suffer as a result of that. And I took the
28:47position of look, president is going to do what he feels he has to do in the best interests of the
28:51country. I, as the mayor have to support the people of New York. That's when you negotiate. That's
28:56when you see what can I do, Mr. President, to make this easier for the people of New York city.
29:02If you go back and you remember Castro and early interviews and David Asman has hit on this and,
29:09and Castro was smiling and friendly. Oh, I'm not a Marxist. I'm not a socialist. Uh, and,
29:16and then what did he do? The crackdown began, the oppression began. And, um, I look at mom,
29:23Donnie smiling and it's so fake and so he's such a fraud. I, I wonder if the people of New York
29:31city will see through that. Sean, remember the song by Sade in 1984, smooth operator.
29:38Oh, he's smooth. Yeah, I do. And he learned from the best Barack Obama. He probably watched
29:45film after film after film. And what I describe him as. So people understand because he is affable.
29:52Nobody really knows him a year ago. Uh, his own neighbors didn't know who Zoran Mandami was.
29:57Now he's either infamous or famous, depending on your political ideology. He's Bill de Blasio on
30:03steroids. What that means is by the time Bill de Blasio took a wrecking ball in New York city,
30:09especially after the summer of George Floyd, where he had the, the police actually bend the knee
30:15to black lives matter, uh, actually retreat instead of go out there and take back the streets.
30:21You understand that this Zoran Mandami is a twin of Bill de Blasio. The left hated him,
30:27the right hated him. That's what I have to do. Look, I'm Rudy Giuliani 2.0. I proved that tonight
30:32in that debate. I was a law and order candidate and Andrew Cuomo, his time has come and gone.
30:38If he had done a halfway decent job as governor, there would have never been room for Zoran Mandami.
30:43If Eric Adams had been a halfway decent democratic mayor, it would have been round two again,
30:48Curtis Lee versus Eric Adams, and he would have had a distinct advantage. But the Democrats have
30:53turned their party over to the socialists. Sean, we are the only answer. We were the answer to save
30:58New York back when Rudy Giuliani was elected mayor and George Pataki governor. And I promise
31:04your audience, when I'm elected the next mayor of New York as a Republican, I'm paving the way for
31:09Elise Stefanik, the great Congresswoman of New York to take out Kathy Hochul. And then we can be,
31:15bring sanity, peace. We can, we can actually eliminate the corruption and the chaos that has
31:22plagued the city of New York and the state of New York, like Giuliani and Pataki did back in 93 and 94.
31:30And if people want to get in touch with you, how do they do it?
31:32All you got to do is go to Sliwa4NYC.com. That's Sliwa4NYC.com. Hey, I delivered a good
31:40knockout punch for all Republicans across the country. Help me save New York City so that New
31:46Yorkers don't flee to your states and then they become purple and God forbid blue.
31:51No, no, they can stay, they can keep the liberal policies. But for the sake of you
31:56and Mark Simone and my friends in New York, I, I, I do hope you win this race. Curtis, thank you.
32:01Thank you, Sean. Earlier tonight,
32:03And earlier tonight, former Trump national security advisor, John Bolton was indicted by a federal grand
32:11jury in Maryland, Bolton facing eight counts of transmission of national defense information,
32:1710 counts of retention of national defense information. Now the indictment says Bolton
32:22illegally shared classified material with two relatives and stored classified information
32:28inside his personal email account. Uh, that email account was later allegedly hacked by Iran,
32:35exposing of course, our nation sensitive secrets to a major adversary. Now, according to Fox News
32:41Digital, a probe into Bolton's mishandling of classified information started years ago,
32:47but was later shut down by the Biden administration for quote, political reasons. And then he went on,
32:52Oh, became one of the biggest Trump haters out there. Bolton has hired a lawyer, uh,
32:58who turns out to be none other. And he's a good lawyer, Abby Lowell in a statement. Lowell says Bolton
33:03was just keeping a diary like anyone else would. And that none of that information was classified in
33:09a statement of his own. John Bolton said he is dedicated as a public servant who's looking forward to
33:15the legal fight over these charges here with an analysis, Fox news contributor, uh, Jonathan Turley
33:21and the author of the color of death. I never knew he had this dark of soul, but I mean,
33:27this is deep and it is dark and it is a page turner. Uh, he's the host of Sunday night in America.
33:33Uh, Trey Gowdy. Trey, we'll start with you. Uh, let's look at this case. Um, these charges are real.
33:40We knew this was an issue when he was writing his book. I think it was Joyce Lambert, the, uh,
33:45the judge that chastised him for wanting to put this information in her book, right?
33:49Sean, I cannot tell you and your viewers how serious the information that John Bolton both
33:59disseminated to his wife and daughter. That's who the unindicted co-conspirators are and retained.
34:05It is the gravest secrets that this country has. It's the kind of information that gets people killed.
34:12Millions of documents over years. And he's out there lecturing, whether it's Hillary Clinton,
34:18Donald Trump or anyone else, there are so many clips in this indictment of him having notice
34:24and knowledge of how to handle material all the while he was breaking it. I cannot stress to you
34:31the job that Kash Patel and John Lee Radcliffe did in bringing this case to indictment. The gravest
34:37possible danger could have been done to this country and may well have been done because Iran
34:42accessed his email at his home. This is very, very serious.
34:49Now, you know, as I look at these, Jonathan Turley, either Letitia James said that this home in
34:55Virginia was her primary residence or not and said it on multiple occasions and put it in documents.
35:01Either John Bolton had this information or he didn't have this information. He shared this information
35:08or he didn't. They seem kind of cut and dry. The real charges against Comey, unfortunately,
35:13I felt the statute of limitations had run out. Let's get your thoughts.
35:18No, they are cut and dry. As a long-time criminal defense attorney, I got to tell you,
35:2218 counts of this kind really concentrates the mind because the jurors tend to look at this
35:29as a very simple question. Did he have classified information? Did he mishandle it?
35:35And two arguments will not work in that courtroom. One is that this is all old classified information.
35:42It doesn't matter if it's old or brand new. If it's still classified, you violate the statute.
35:48The other argument is that everyone does this, that this is, as Abby said, you know, everyone has
35:55diaries. Well, that's not going to fly either in that courtroom. I mean that, you know, he's going to
36:00try, just as Comey's going to try and James is going to try, to bring up a vindictive prosecution
36:06claim. Generally, courts don't, and also a selective prosecution, so both of those, generally courts do
36:13not go for those. If you have a viable criminal case that comes out of a grand jury, they tend not
36:19to want to look at motivations. This indictment looks pretty serious. I mean, the level of classification
36:25is very high, but also the fact that he was repeatedly warned. He was in this, this real battle with the
36:32government over his book, and he basically didn't yield to them. And then finally, you have that decision
36:39by Lamberth, where he said, look, I can't force all these books to be destroyed. But he said, you really did
36:45undermine national security here. Yeah. All right. I'm going to ask you both an exit question. Trey, how does this play out?
36:53Uh, he is convicted and he spends the remainder of his natural life in the custody of the Federal
37:02Bureau of Prisons. Wow. That's a prediction. How about Letitia James? As long as we're,
37:09you know, you're dispelling all this good news for people that believe in justice.
37:13Well, I think the facts in Bolton's case are stronger than the other two.
37:22Okay. Jonathan, what do you think?
37:25I think that I'd like to try to pick my lottery numbers for next week, because that's the certainty
37:30that I lack. Look, this is a blue state. It's a good jury pool, really, for Bolton. I think that
37:41the odds still favor the government in these cases, but I think it could be, it could be a hard fought
37:46case. Jonathan, Trey Gowdy never lost a single case as a prosecutor. I don't want to ever be in
37:55a courtroom against him. All right. And, or against you either, to be honest, Jonathan. Thank you both.
38:01Yeah. And up next, up next tonight here on Hannity. Why did you refuse the National Guard
38:07on January 6th? Shut up. I did not refuse the National Guard. The president didn't send it.
38:18That is priceless. Another day, another Democrat having a meltdown on camera. Joe Concha reacts
38:23straight ahead as we continue. All right, tonight in our other news of the day segment,
38:36Nancy Pelosi has officially lost it. In case you didn't know, yesterday on Capitol Hill,
38:40she was asked about refusing the National Guard on January the 6th. Remember, Donald Trump on record
38:46days before, you know, reached out, offered the guard. In writing, Muriel Bowser said no. Nancy Pelosi
38:52admitted she turned it down. And then she went ballistic when confronted on this, all while
38:58holding on to her aid for support. Take a look. Congresswoman Pelosi, are you at all concerned
39:05that the new January 6th committee will find you liable for that day? Are you at all concerned
39:09about the new January 6th committee finding you liable for that day? Why did you refuse the National
39:16Guard on January 6th? Shut up. I did not refuse the National Guard. The president didn't send it.
39:23Why are you coming here with Republican talking points as if you're a serious journalist? The
39:27American people want to know. We still have questions. Thank you. With reaction, Fox News
39:33contributed Joe Concha. Joe, I have on tape President Trump, Mark Meadows, Cash Patel,
39:39Acting Defense Secretary Miller, and in other papers, General Milley, all saying that he was
39:47asking for the guard to be called up. And in writing, Muriel Bowser turned it down and Nancy
39:52Pelosi never requested it. And she's in charge of security with the Sergeant of Arms. So, yeah,
39:58that was a fair question. Yeah, she didn't act defensive there in any way, super form, Sean. So
40:04maybe that's actually she completely did. And this is how Democrats seem to react when they're asked a
40:09question that actually makes them uncomfortable once in a while. I mean, Pelosi telling a reporter
40:13to shut up, my goodness, that's just a chilling attack on our free press and our free speech.
40:18And last week, Nancy also jumped down the throat of a reporter who asked her if AOC was actually
40:23running the party after AOC said that she would negotiate with Republicans directly right out of
40:28her office. It was a fair question. And Nancy lost it there, too. We saw what happened with Katie
40:33Porter last week when one reporter had the audacity of asking follow up questions and now her chances of
40:38winning in California appear to be finished. So it seems more and more that the Democrats need
40:42anger management courses, I guess, and then maybe some Xanax on top of that.
40:48Maybe another bottle of wine or two might help, too. I actually can't watch that tape enough. I mean,
40:55shut up. I mean, it was great. Anyway, Kamala Harris just can't seem to stop swearing during the same
41:02interview where she was bragging about being the single most qualified presidential candidate in history.
41:07She went on an angry rant about Secretary RFK Jr. saying that it's she's fed up with what is HHS is
41:17doing to America. Take a look. Push misinformation and lies at the highest level of government.
41:25It's criminal. And people will die because of what they're doing. I can't laugh about that. I'm sorry.
41:32It's f***ed up. It's f***ed up.
41:37All right, Joe. This book tour is very interesting, to say the least. But every time she does speak,
41:44it's a reminder how grateful I am to the American people for what they did November 5th of last year.
41:50Yeah, that's a hell of a clip you just played there, Sean. It looks like I picked the wrong week
41:56again to stop sniffing glue. I mean, Kamala Harris, the human Chernobyl, I mean, continues this train
42:01wreck of a bookstore to talk about the worst presidential campaign we have seen in our
42:04lifetimes. Because who wouldn't want to relive those 107 days? And she has said some profoundly
42:10bizarre stuff, Sean. I mean, she keeps repeating over and over that this was the closest presidential
42:14election in history. No, not even close. I mean, is she high in her own supply? I mean,
42:19I feel like I'm taking crazy pills listening to this person. And now she goes after RFK Jr.
42:23dropping F-bloms in the process trying to seem more authentic. You'd think that Bobby was going
42:27after additives and chardonnay because this seems very personal to Kamala.
42:31You watched the New York City mayoral debate. Was that the single worst moderated debate in history?
42:36We have about 20 seconds. I tweeted about it. Mamdani was given a free pass on
42:42Hamas and him not denouncing them, globalizing the infatata. Was never asked how he was truly
42:47going to pay for all this free stuff that he wants to give away. Was never challenged
42:50on calling the NYPD racist and xenophobic. You have 20 seconds. That's it, Joe. That's it,
42:54Joe, Joe, Joe, Joe. I'm at 19. The moderators, I couldn't take it.
42:59All right. Thanks, Joe Concher. More Hannity straight ahead.
43:07All right. The Patriot Awards only three weeks away. Don't forget, get your tickets,
43:11foxnation.com, slash Patriot Awards. I'm telling you, when you find out who's coming,
43:16you will wish you were there. That's all I can say. I'm not allowed to say any more.
