Here is a small collection of medias that have inspired my journey as an artist. While this is not the comprehensive list, these are things that I have adored for pretty much my entire life and have a special place in my heart.

Feel free to share what inspired you in the comments below. It would be interesting to see, and it’s fun learning about new works of art I haven’t heard of!

00:00The style of every artist in the modern day is the culmination of thousands of years of
00:05artists before them.
00:07Their styles and processes didn't develop in a vacuum.
00:11Instead, the artists that came before influenced and shaped every single piece you find on
00:16the internet today.
00:18And even before art was long enough for there to be artist predecessors to draw from, well,
00:25they took from nature.
00:27The following are the works that have shaped what my art looks like.
00:31Either it be the way they look or the content of their stories, you will see a piece of everything
00:36in my works.
00:38Steven Universe is a wonderful cartoon known for its messages and forgiveness and love.
00:46It is a beautiful show following a young boy with a family of mysterious beings known as
00:50gems.
00:51It unravels a war and slowly uncovers the mysteries of the gems who are raising Steven.
00:57But it isn't just the messages that are wonderful.
00:59There is one thing that anyone can praise the show for, and it is the backgrounds.
01:04To make backgrounds that are eye-catching every time is a goal of mine that I hope to someday
01:09achieve.
01:11Everything from the fantastical to the mid-ing leave a stunning view that you can just stare
01:14at for hours.
01:19My Hero Academia is a fun and inspiring story about heroism and helping the community.
01:25While the fandom seemingly missed the point, its themes about pushing yourself and bringing
01:30joy to dark days resonate with me as an artist.
01:34Art is something I do in order to bring joy to both myself and others.
01:38I create what I want to see, and it delights many others in the process.
01:42That is not mentioning the real-life aspect, however.
01:45My Hero Academia is one of the biggest series in the world, and it starts by one guy.
01:52One person came up with the idea and placed it to paper.
01:56It eventually became a huge thing that billions of people love and provide joy.
02:01There is hardly anything more inspiring to the fact that this can happen to any artist.
02:09Of course, I can't count out the likes of Vibzipop and Lavender Town.
02:13YouTube is filled to the brim with unique and creative talent to take inspiration from.
02:18From the humble beginner to college trained professionals, YouTube is a platform where
02:22anyone can share their creations for better or for worse.
02:26This fact alone is enough to be inspiring.
02:29Vibzipop in particular is an inspiration.
02:32She has two popular shows with roots in both Tumblr and YouTube.
02:36She nurtured and cherished her characters for years before they finally made it to screens
02:40both small and large, with Hazbin Hotel becoming an instant hit among the masses.
02:46She has started her own animation studio that works hard to help bring these wonderful characters
02:51to life.
02:53The Legend of Zelda is a fantastic video game series where each game brings something innovative
02:59to the series.
03:00RPGs today could look extremely different if it wasn't for the release of Ocarina of Time
03:05with a Z-targeting feature, camera system, and context-sensitive controls along with
03:10many others.
03:11To create something that would shape the future of an entire industry is an ambitious aspiration
03:17that may never be met, but it is still a wonderful goal to work towards.
03:22So, despite the odds, I will reach to make something as inspiring as this amazing series.
03:28What is an inspiration list without Sonic the Hedgehog or Pokemon?
03:37My artist's childhood was filled with creating characters and drawings based on the video game
03:41series.
03:42While I have fallen out of it since, the movies are proving themselves to be a cute series
03:46and the music never grows old.
03:49The style is easy and fun to draw and Sega itself encourages the creativity that their
03:54fans have.
03:55Plus, needed characters and bright colors are appealing to many people, particularly young
04:00artists.
04:01The series essentially provides a playground of creativity that artists can branch from
04:05as they grow older and improve their craft.
04:09If any story of mine seems familiar in tropes, themes, or appearances, you have these 5 things
04:16to thank.
04:17There are many things that can be done with their concepts that can only be explored by
04:22many people utilizing the ideas and making them into their own.
04:27Thank you for watching this video.
04:31Feel free to share what inspires you in the comments below and why.
