00:22areas with black bears historically those who spot bigfoot say he stands between six and nine feet

00:27tall that's not too far off from adult black bears when standing up bipedally which are around four

00:32to six and a half feet in height in fact the now peer-reviewed study found that for every 1 000

00:36black bears in a particular area bigfoot sightings increased by four percent in fact there was one

00:41bigfoot sighting for every 5 000 black bears in 2006 foxon also discovered that nearby human populations

00:48also changed the data as well with more people near forested areas also meaning more bigfoot sightings

00:53and that metric was also true in places like florida where there are actually fewer bears
