00:00Converting to Islam ruined my life, or at least the life that I thought that I wanted,
00:04and it ruined it in the best way possible. I lost all of my old friends who either couldn't
00:08or didn't want to understand, and I didn't know if my family would even accept me after.
00:14Everything that I knew about myself and my life was changing, and it was terrifying. But once
00:19those big changes were out of the way, I realized that the hardest part was staying consistent with
00:24the small changes. I was missing or late for prayers because I couldn't remember the time.
00:28I would forget which du'as to say for what and when. I just started to feel a little lost in my
00:33routine. And it's still hard, but I want to share with you something that really helped me in my
00:37day-to-day journey. This app has really helped keep my journey on track. DeanBuddy really knows what
00:44new Muslims need. Now with their prayer tracker, I never miss a prayer. I've increased my Islamic
00:52knowledge with their daily quizzes, and my dhikr habit is now stronger than my coffee addiction.
00:57I went from a confused convert to somebody who can finally hold their own in Islamic conversation.
01:03This app not only helped organize my dean, but it helped me reorganize my new life.
01:08So Islam didn't ruin my life, but it did give me the life that I needed.
