00:00I want to leave TikTok.
00:01As-salamu alaykum wa rahmatullahi wa barakatuhu.
00:04I don't know if Sister Humi is going to see this,
00:06but I would like to share this video with anybody who agrees with her.
00:10I want to say that I understand what Sister Humi is saying.
00:13I hope I'm saying her name right.
00:14And I also agree with her.
00:16But I just want to remind us all that at all times,
00:20we are either the person that is inviting
00:23or we are being invited to something.
00:26Here on TikTok or any social media platform,
00:29we are either consuming content or we are creating the content.
00:33There's literally not enough time to be constantly consuming content.
00:38If I'm constantly consuming content,
00:40then rarely am I creating content.
00:43So what's the solution here?
00:45Especially in this case, Sister Humi is a content creator.
00:49Should we delete social media because it's toxic?
00:52No, we just have to make up our minds
00:54that we're going to stop wasting our time
00:57constantly consuming the content unless it's beneficial.
01:02Maybe instead of always scrolling and scrolling,
01:05we go to our favorite Muslim TikTokers.
01:08We turn on the notifications so we can only see that content
01:11that is beneficial for us.
01:12Because like she said,
01:14mindlessly scrolling through TikTok all day is not beneficial.
01:17It is not helpful.
01:18It's not a good thing.
01:19I'm talking to the Muslims when I say that
01:21our goal every single day should be
01:23to get closer with Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala,
01:26to learn about him and know him better.
01:28This platform, any social media platform,
01:31can either help you achieve that goal or not.
01:34So are you the content consumer
01:37or are you the content creator?
01:40We maybe have to do some unfollowing
01:42and only follow those who intend to remind us of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
01:48Remind us of Allah and his messenger,
01:50all of his messengers, peace be upon them all,
01:53and to remind us of the truth.
01:57Salamu alaykum.
01:57Salamu alaykum.
