00:00Thank you so much.
00:01First, on the firing of the CDC director.
00:04First, we'll replace her.
00:05And then also, overnight, the White House said
00:07that she did not align with the President's agenda.
00:11Dr. Marnarez's attorney say that she refused
00:13to rubber stamp unscientific, reckless directives
00:16and fired dedicated health experts.
00:18What specifically did she do?
00:20Look, what I will say about this individual
00:22is that her lawyer's statement made it abundantly clear themselves
00:26that she was not aligned with the President's mission
00:28to make America healthy again.
00:30And the Secretary asked her to resign.
00:33She said she would, and then she said she wouldn't.
00:34So the President fired her, which he has every right to do.
00:38It was President Trump who was overwhelmingly re-elected on November 5th.
00:42This woman has never received a vote in her life,
00:44and the President has the authority to fire those
00:46who are not aligned with his mission.
00:48A new replacement will be announced by either the President
00:50or the Secretary very soon.
00:52And the President and Secretary Kennedy are committed
00:54to restoring trust and transparency and credibility to the CDC
00:58by ensuring their leadership and their decisions
01:00are more public-facing, more accountable,
01:03strengthening our public health system,
01:05and restoring it to its core mission of protecting Americans
01:09from communicable diseases,
01:11investing in innovation to prevent, detect,
01:13and respond to future threats.
01:14That's the mission of the CDC,
01:16and we're going to make sure that folks
01:18that are in positions of leadership there
01:20are aligned with that mission.
01:21And briefly on another topic.
