00:00Hey, what's up guys, Wildcat here, Battlefield 6 vs Battlefield 5, this is a very interesting video, because we both, you and I, we both like these games, either you like Battlefield 6 or Battlefield 5, or you like both, and this is a video that I've been wanting to make for the past few days, and we are going to take a look into real gameplay footage, so we have a full gameplay here of TDM on Battlefield 6, and then we got a, I believe, a TDM.
00:30TDM, or Squad Conquest, on the Battlefield 5 short gameplay, so I guess, you know, don't get too bored, but, alright, let's get to it, let's get to it between the two, so, the first one will be graphics and visuals, so, I mean, both games are visually stunning in their own right, but at the same time, they're very different, they took different approaches, at least that's the way that I see it, but Battlefield 5 will listen to more, like, greedy, you know, realism with this World War 2,
00:59aesthetic, which works perfectly for the game, you know, muted colors, heavy post-processing, like, it worked for Battlefield 5, and, uh, they did a great job with it, you know, you definitely capture that vibe, that World War 2 vibe.
01:14Battlefield 6, on the other hand, it goes for a more, like, more, uh, modern cinematic, like, dynamic lighting, reflecting surfaces, and more, uh, destruction than ever before, and, you know, that's great.
01:27So, the question is, like, which one, which one is better, which one do you prefer, do you prefer more, like, a cinematic, modern, or do you prefer the, you know, gritty World War 2, uh, aesthetic, or vibe?
01:39I, I mean, in my personal opinion, I, I like both, I love Battlefield 5, one of the best, in my opinion, uh, top three, for sure, uh, whatever number you wanna put it on, uh, but to me, Battlefield 5 did great,
01:54and, and, from, uh, what I've played on, uh, Battlefield 6 beta, and, pretty soon, you know, the full game, they did an awesome job, as well, with, with the game, so, it is not like, at least for me, a real winner, or a real loser,
02:08it's just about, what kind of aesthetic, what kind of vibe you like the most, so, I'll leave that question, uh, for you guys, to, to decide that one, so, that's, that's, I mean, that's just my take, it's pretty simple.
02:18Uh, I'm not here to hate, or love, you know, I, I just love gaming, I just love Battlefield franchise, so, okay, so, uh, section two, or, or number two, I wanna call it, uh, gunplay, and, weapons,
02:30and this is a very, very cool one, um, it's definitely one of the most important aspects, you know, and Battlefield 5 was known for, uh, strong recoil, uh, weight, weapon feel,
02:42and, uh, you had to really learn, it's gun behavior, like, it was interesting, going back to, to Battlefield 5, after playing, you know, some other games, where, there's no recoil,
02:53you have to learn, really, you have to learn how to use the guns, and, in order to get those kills, and, and it was fantastic, you know, the, the learning experience.
03:01Uh, Battlefield 6, it's, it's different, you know, uh, things feel a little faster, the recoil is tighter, uh, the ADS speed is snappier,
03:12and, uh, you can't, you can't tell it's being influenced by Call of Duty, or Warzone, which is the same, but, you can't, you can't see the influence,
03:21or you can't feel the influence, uh, in the beta, which is, it's not a bad thing, you know, if you like that, like I said, faster, sort of, uh, gameplay, uh, this is, this is, for you, I, I, I, I, I, I like them both,
03:35but, Battlefield 5 is still one of my favorites, uh, when it comes to, um, uh, gunplay and weapons.
03:42I think the gunplay, and I, and I'm, I'm not knocking down Battlefield 6 by any means, don't get me wrong, it's, it's just, it's just amazing what they did,
03:49but, for me, the gunplay in Battlefield 5 is still the, the, the best, in my opinion, still the best, it's, it's something that they did right in that game,
03:57and it felt perfect, maybe because the, what I just said, World War 2 aesthetic, and everything they did back then, uh, the vibe they were going for,
04:07is the best gunplay and gameplay mechanics, in my opinion, uh, in the Battlefield franchise, so, you know, uh, the sound design, uh, also improved as well with Battlefield 6,
04:17uh, you can clearly tell when bullets whiz pass, or when an enemy reloads, uh, nearby, so, you know, it'll ask tension, you know, do you know where the guys are,
04:25or they can't hear you, so you're trying to stay alive, or be sneaky, so, you know, it's, uh, it's, it's, it's a good thing, uh, that they improve all these things,
04:34and I think Battlefield, uh, or, or DICE always does a great job with, with the sound in, in their games, it's, it's always, uh, amazing, so, no complaints.
04:43So, we go to the next one, will be, uh, movement and fluidity, so, uh, this is a good one, so Battlefield 6, uh, is noticeably more, uh, smoother, uh, sliding to cover,
04:55climbing obstacles, it feels more responsive compared to, to Battlefield 5, where, like, animations in Battlefield 5 had more weight,
05:04like, getting out of, out of a vehicle, or, uh, getting in a tank, or out of a tank, it just, like, sometimes feel, you know, a little sluggish,
05:12and, and you, you wanted that quickness, that responsiveness, you know, that athleticism, you know, like, like, move faster, you know,
05:19so, how many times you guys, and I did too, got, got killed trying to get out of a tank, trying to get out of a tank in a rush.
05:27You see the enemy, you're trying to get out quick and kill him, and then you get destroyed, so it was frustrating, frustrating, but,
05:34um, Battlefield 6, it seems like they took notes from other shooters, uh, again, like, Warzone, because it feels quicker and responsive,
05:41and, um, and, and the speed, the speed and, and, and, and momentum is, is pretty, pretty insane, so now we're going to Battlefield 5, so,
05:50I mean, it looks great still, I love this game, but anyways, so let's go to the next one, map design, and, and scale,
05:57and this is, uh, this is a big, big, big comparison, um, Battlefield 5, uh, you know, featured, like, tighter infantry-focused maps,
06:06you know, I love big maps, like, you know, Awesome Down was, it was pretty, pretty fun as well, uh, big maps, you know,
06:11based on, you know, historical battles, and it was, uh, it was pretty epic in my opinion, they, they nailed it,
06:17um, there were maps, you might have been designed just to go to battle, it, uh, while some of them,
06:26if people try to camp, I think promote, like, straight up, going, kill the enemy, capture some floxy,
06:32or get some kills, I don't know, man, I think, or in my opinion, uh, they nailed it with the map
06:39design, uh, in, in Battlefield 5 as well, um, Battlefield 6, you know, from what we play in the
06:44beta, or from what we've seen so far, you know, you know, verticality, you know, um, adds more room
06:50for dynamic play, and, uh, I mean, it works for the game, for it's, like, fast-paced, but for me,
06:58the, the Battlefield 5 map design was, uh, was a lot better, in my opinion, a lot better, it just,
07:06just felt, just felt good. Okay, move on to the next one, mechanics and team play, okay, so this is a,
07:13this is a good one, interesting one, I mean, I think both, both games share about the same, you know,
07:17team mechanics were a highlight in Battlefield 5, you know, squad revives and, uh, supply drops, you
07:22know, forcing players to, to work together, uh, of course. Battlefield 6 keeps the core,
07:28you know, it's the same thing, we can, you know, squad, uh, squad revives are also available
07:34and whatnot, but they add more, add more touches, you know, uh, it's obviously, uh, modernized,
07:39uh, if you will, you know, you got now deployable drones, you know, advanced, uh, HUD elements
07:45and, uh, better communication tools, uh, that's the, the question, or the big question is,
07:51this, do all these things actually improve teamwork or just add clutter, you know, um, considering
07:58how people play the game in terms of, uh, being a good teammate and, and doing the, what
08:04I call the right thing, you know, it could, it could go 50-50, you know, it depends who
08:08you play with, if you play with a party, you know, it's always a different story, um, I
08:13play by myself, so, you know, I get a, a mix of, uh, everything, you know, sometimes you
08:18ended up with a really, really good team or really good squad and things just go smooth,
08:22sometimes, you know, it's the opposite, you get a bunch of, you know, snipers and it's
08:27just like, man, trying to win a game is a, it's a hustle, you know, sometimes happens,
08:31you guys have seen my gameplays, Battlefield 5 and Battlefield 1 and all that, and, uh,
08:35sometimes you don't, you know, but, you know, it goes, it goes, uh, you know, it could go
08:40either way, um, so, the, the big question is, is Battlefield the better game?
08:48Is Battlefield 5 the, the, the, the better game? Is Battlefield 60 more polished, uh,
08:55you know, visually impressive, you know, fast-paced, uh, shooter game that feels more
09:01like modern, uh, or is Battlefield 5 with slow-paced, more tactical approach, um, the
09:09winner here? So, Battlefield 5, you know, slower and more tactical vibe, I loved it, and
09:16maybe that's the reason why I like it so much, it was just, even though people were not playing
09:21tactical all the time, but it kind of forces you, you, you, you did not see, even the people
09:25were rushing, but it was, it was, it was a, it was a different, different type of monster,
09:28in my opinion, uh, Battlefield 5, you know, the, the conquest, it was just, like, really
09:34fun, and I'm not knocking down Battlefield 6, I'm pretty sure they're going to fix a lot
09:37of things, this, this, uh, this, uh, long, a long road ahead of, you know, Battlefield 6
09:43and, and making it better, and, and they will, you know, they will, they will make it better,
09:47it's going to be an amazing game, I mean, positive, but Battlefield 5, you know, I have a special
09:52place in my heart, they did a lot of good things, and I know it had a, a rough start,
09:57and, uh, it was, it was, you know, probably going to be called one of the worst games ever,
10:02uh, releasing the Battlefield, uh, franchise, but it turned out to be a really good one, in
10:07my opinion, you know, and I still love it, I still play it, and, uh, I just, I just,
10:11I guess, gunplay, gameplay mechanics, it's, it's pretty good, it's just, they, they nailed
10:16it, so, the question is, which one do you guys prefer, do you guys, um, have a winner,
10:23you know, let me know which game you prefer down in the comments below, and, uh, I don't
10:29know, maybe we can get to a, I don't know, good consensus here, uh, if you guys prefer,
10:33uh, one or the other, or both, um, I like them both, really, just, like, that's different,
10:40but the thing is, Battlefield V, I love it, because you got, uh, specific weapons for
10:45specific class, you know, server browser, which I'm pretty sure Battlefield V is going
10:49to bring, too, and I hope so, but they change things, so it kept a lot of the, uh, Battlefield,
10:56um, core, I don't want to say mechanics, but Vive, or soul, if you will, and, whereas,
11:05you know, Battlefield VI, you know, they're trying to, to, to go back to it, and I hope
11:10they will, uh, but I just don't want you to go to the right of Battlefield 2042, because
11:15that was, that was not good, but, um, Battlefield V is the, kind of the last Battlefield that
11:23feels like a real Battlefield, if you know what I mean, uh, whether you like the game or
11:27not, it still has the, the core mechanic and everything of a Battlefield, the core ideas
11:33of a real Battlefield game, so, that's, uh, that's a plus in my book, and, uh, that makes
11:39it very special, you know, you don't see a slime press with an SMG, unless you run off
11:43ammo, had to pick up, you know, an MP40 off, uh, off the, off the ground, and, you know,
11:48you have to keep doing your thing, but, uh, uh, in Battlefield VI, you know, it's, uh, man,
11:54I hope they fixed that, because, you know, it's kind of, it's kind of annoying just not
11:58having what Battlefield's known about, so, anyways, uh, let me know which game you prefer
