00:00Police General Nicolás Torre III says he is not bitter and has no hard feelings toward the president, a day after his commander-in-chief, President Ferdinand Marcos Jr. sacked him as the Philippine National Police Chief.
00:13He says Wednesday, August 27, quote, I don't have any hard feelings and I'm a good soldier. If there's an order, I just follow it.
00:22Aside from quote-unquote personal decision, Interior and Local Government Chief and National Police Commission Chair John Vic Remulia says,
00:30The internal conflict with the PNP and the NAPOLCOM caused Torre's removal.
00:35But Torre's removal created a problem within the PNP. He is holding the rank of a Police General which has four stars.
00:42This means even though Police Lieutenant General Jose Melencho Nartates Jr. took over his post, Nartates will serve as the PNP chief with three stars because there can only be one officer with four stars.
00:54Nartates can only assume the Police General Rank 1 story is out of the police service, which can only happen if he avails of optional retirement.
01:02As revealed by Remulian Malacanang, Marcos is reportedly offering a post to the former PNP chief.
