Police general Nicolas Torre III is now deemed resigned from the Philippine National Police (PNP) after he accepted the post as general manager of the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA), an official said on Saturday, Dec. 27.
Rafael Vicente Calinisan, vice chairman and chief executive officer of the National Police Commission (Napolcom), said Torre’s resignation will then pave the way for Police Lt. Gen. Jose Melencio C. Nartatez, Jr. to become full time PNP chief and obtain his fourth star rank.
